Blaise & Francis Hotel in Milan

i stay for 1 night only, but experienced the inconvenience moment since arrived,
- the check in time in 2.30, but they asked us to wait more because the cleaning not finished yet.
- not all contactors inside the room working
- coffee machine also not working
- there is no detail information for the hotel room, wifi password only written in the lobby, and when we try to call the receptions table, no one answered.
- the staff looked not happy serving the customer, when we coming to the reception table, they not greeting us and just sit on their chair from their cabinet.
- the stuff make some noise from the corridor

for the chain hotel, i expect better.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a work trip, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall. While some staff members were polite, several issues made the stay frustrating and uncomfortable.

First, the air conditioning in our room did not work, the room remained uncomfortably warm throughout the nights.

One evening, our team planned to have dinner at the hotel to continue working together, but we weren’t allowed to use the lobby area due to a private event. We noticed a free meeting room and asked if we could use it briefly — it was already 9:30 PM — but were told it would cost $150 usd, which felt completely unreasonable for such short use. There was also no room service, so we had no choice but to go out and find food late at night, when most places nearby were already closed. No one informed us of this beforehand — a simple email or phone call earlier in the day would have helped us plan better. When we asked for support at the front desk, they weren’t helpful and offered no real solution.

Even basic amenities like drinking water came at an extra charge, which added to the overall sense of poor hospitality.

To make things worse, during check-out, the young woman at the front desk was rude and dismissive when I asked for a breakdown of the charges I was being asked to pay. That interaction left a bad final impression and made my stay end on an even more negative note.

Overall, the hotel lacks flexibility, communication, and basic customer care — not what you expect, especially as a business traveler

Very outdated. WiFi broke down on the evening of the first night and it was not fixed during the stay. Room smells like a nursing home (carpets harbour smells), bathroom door had been pulled off and nails were exposed. Air con was minimal in the room in a very hot, sunny room (great for drying clothes!). About 13 minute walk to the nearest Metro. Tram is closer but it’s about 20+ stops to the centre and very slow. Coffee at breakfast is good. Food is all cheap, processed products.
