Il Girasole in Milan

It's a typical guesthouse in a rather remote location, not recommended for solo female travelers. It's about a 20-minute metro ride from Milan Central Station, followed by a 5-minute walk from the metro exit. On my first visit, I couldn't find the place and called the owner. He pointed to a large sunflower on the door, and a nearby student led us there. There was a bright red iron gate with a sunflower, but the door was closed; you had to ring the doorbell.

The room facilities were basic. There was no kettle or drinking water. When I went downstairs for a hot drink, the owner was already off work. The bed was two single beds pushed together; I don't know if it was my fault, but I felt itchy after sleeping on it. The shower facilities were also inadequate; there was an old-fashioned showerhead fixed in place.

At night, the side facing the street had car noise, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with sleep problems. I asked the owner if I could move to a room across the street, but they said they were full.

The breakfast the next morning was also poor: coffee, croissants, and small hamburgers—very basic. Theoretically, for this location and the price of over 1000, the facilities should be better.

It's fine to just stay one night.

But I don't know how they got such a high rating; I don't think it's good value for money.

Also, I hope Ctrip can separate homestays and iHotels. I originally wanted to book a hotel, but accidentally booked a homestay here, and I'm very disappointed.
