Great location and amazing gardens to relax in. The bar has an amazing selection and great views over Lago Maggiore, the restaurant serves high dining also with view of garden and lake. The breakfast room next to a good selection again overlooks the view. Walking distance to the town centre and to the amazing Restaurant Milano. The rooms are quite and comfortable.

We had a week at this beautiful hotel from 9th to 16th June. It was part of a 40th wedding anniversary. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful lake view. Very convenient to board the ferry to the Isole Borromee. The extra money for a parking pass was well worth it. If you are there on a Saturday, the open market in Intra is about 10 minute drive away and it is big!

The single room was well-equipped with a desk, chair, lamp, tv, wardrobe and good sized bathroom. Bed was comfortable and extra pillow was appreciated. The hotel was quite warm for me but even in early November the weather was pleasant enough that I could open the window. Housekeeping, bar and breakfast staff were all very friendly.

The location and the staff war very nice, unfortunately the room was quite empty, not that cosy and a bit old. The bed was very uncomfortable, it felt like two mattresses pushed together with a ravine in the middle. After the first few nights my back and neck was killing me.

One of my favourite stays of all times just for 70€/2 nights/2 people. Views are magnificent, menu is tremendous. The drive is demanding, but don't get discouraged.

There are about 60 steep curves from Verbania until one reaches the top of Monterosso where the hotel is. But once you overcome those obstacles, you have the most beautiful view over Lago Maggiore (including Isola Bella), excellent home-made meals from local ingredients and relaxing atmosphere.

The garden is extraordinary, full of exoticism, the rooms with parquet floors and period furniture (1950s) offer a panoramic view of Lake Maggiore and the breakfast room resembles a reception room. This Place is like the Italien version of Chateau Marmont! It seems like time was stopped in the 50s it's incredibly charming and really an original site. If you like the good and easy life, this is it. The park is huge and has a lot of hidden treasures.
