Only negative was high hotel restaurant prices so we eat out. Lots of great options. Plus no coffee machine or kettle in the room.

Room well appointed and super clean. Good amenities. Upgraded to lake view which is lovely. Staff very friendly.

The hotel is beautiful. The location gave us options for relaxing, restaurants, and walking distance to shopping. Outdoor pool/bar, breakfast, atmosphere was great made better by the staff who are super friendly and helpful.

Just spent three nights in this beautiful hotel, visually stunning with lovely gardens and a pool. It’s perfectly located for. 4 minute stroll into Stresa town centre for lots of bars and restaurants. You can catch a ferry to the Borromean Islands just in front of the hotel. Breakfast was awesome, lots of choice and a beautiful setting.

The Regina Palace is a hotel from bygone days of classic architecture with huge imposing rooms with lots of style. The service from the staff in all areas was exceptional, friendly and professional. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

I have just returned from a Blake's tour to lake Maggiore.we stayed at this hotel . I could not fault it .The staff were brilliant the meals were great,and the rooms were good(the only reason I gave 4stars was we had no view. It is situated on the lake near the ferry and tourist boats

Right in the center. A good pool is available at the neighboring hotel. They have an agreement. The breakfasts are excellent, with a view of Lake Maggiore. The room overlooks the stairs to the courtyard. And it's small.

This hotel is located in a great location, beautiful views of the lake and the staff is outstanding! The trains went on strike the day of our departure and the staff worked for hours to find us alternative transportation. I highly recommend this hotel. We had a great stay there!

We were a group of 8 and had a fantastic time cycling around Stresa. Partucularly, I recommend Lake Orta, a fabulous place. The hotel’s own e-bike rental was incredibly convenient, and the bikes were in excellent condition. The bedrooms were supposed to be refurbished but ours was not. The material round the bed was ripped all the way round and the terrace overlooked a load of rubbish. The food was reasonable, dinner had a good buffet, 4 choices of starter and main course plus pudding. Breakfast was a continental buffet and was okay.

The location is good, close to the train station and ferry terminal, and the staff are friendly. However, the rooms are average. The first room's door wouldn't close, the second room's safe didn't work, and there wasn't even a bar of soap in the bathroom. There wasn't any shelf in the shower for shower gel or other items. The journey from the airport to hotel was terrible, but the stay at the hotel was very good. At midnight, the hotel owner welcomed us and tells us the most important information. He invited us for a tasty breakfast and the service in the restaurant was nice. The room was very clean and you could relax. The hotel is located in a quiet location.

The staff was friendly and the new rooms were spacious. The only odd thing was the window between the room and the bathroom—it lets natural light in, but it also gives a view of the toilet.

I booked the hotel for weekend, nice location near to shops and beach ⛱️. The bigest issue is about the blanket. It seems they are not washed properly since when I used it my body was covered with bed bugs bites. The shower room is extra small. In one occasion the room service forgot to close the room door after entering.

Near to the lake and the town centre building site across the road, shower alternated between freezing of scalding rapidly so no such thing as a comfortable shower. Breakfast is very limited in selection and availability depending on what time you arrive, lukewarm warm coffee and “hot” water to make lukewarm tea. Excellent! So friendly and helpful. The staff were exceptional and even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine after allowing a slightly late checkout due to me having a work meeting. The hotel itself is really very nice indeed, especially handy location for boat trips to the gorgeous islands. Highly recommended!

We find this difficult to review as we have very mixed feelings about the place. Positives…… the staff could not be more helpful and professional. The breakfast selection was very good but as some have commented, the food can run out if you don’t get in before 9am. The room size was good and the beds relatively comfortable although the mattress was a little lumpy and could do with turning end on end...

The location is in the city center. So all the services are near. The hotel rooms are quite modern but there are some porblems with smoking, air condition system, heating. Some members of staff are not service minded. Noises from streets and other rooms can be heard in rooms.

Right next to the pier, you can easily take a cruise around the lake. The hotel provides free parking spaces, but you can ask the front desk if you can't find them. The room is large and it is very comfortable to sunbathe on the balcony.

Stresa and Lake Maggiore are not to be missed. The Moderno makes a good base. I suggest you ask about the rooms before selecting, as the hotel encompasses several buildings and the rooms vary. The Hotel is a good value for the price, but it is ageing and somewhat dated. We like firm mattresses and our room had the firmest mattress ever!

It's a great hotel!! However, if you do not drive it is quite a walk into Stressa. So a taxi is needed it costs roughly 15€. You do get the most amazing views. Breakfast is very simple but you have a wide variety of continental options. No hot breakfast options.

We stayed about a week in this hotel. It is very conveniently located in Stresa center and close to pier on the lake. Rooms are extremely clean and furniture and decoration is wooden (which I liked a lot). Owner Federico and his manager Taya were super helpful, polite and charming. Breakfast was good. The attitude of the hotel owners was almost unbelievably good! They we trying hard to advice you where to go, what to see, what tours to buy etc. And their advices were not for profit, they never asked you to mention their names or something - they simply wanted you to enjoy their area.

Just finished a three night stay here. This was a great, family ran hotel. The location can’t be beat, the rooms were spotless clean, rooms were quiet, large showers. The only drawback is parking, but if you wait until after 6:00 pm, it’s no problem. Breakfast was great as well. We needed an extra folding bed for the last night, and the family went out of their way to accommodate us. Thank you.

We went to this restaurant on our first day in Italy.. Great start for our vacation!! The pizza was very good- The waiters were all very nice and even though our italian isn't even close to good, we could communicate well with them!! All in all a wonderful restaurant!

This place is underrated. Owned and operated by a very nice couple, with great cuisine and rooms that are just fine. Incredibly good value for the little money it costs, including breakfast with homemade cakes.
