Is the hotel a little dated? Yes
Are there parts that could do with some work? Yes.

But I found the manager to be super friendly and patient with my less than perfect Italian. The room was large spotlessly clean with a comfy bed.

The bathroom was very modern with an excellent shower. I had a lovely view of the lake and the WiFi was pretty good. As a place to stay while you explore the lake or area I thought it was great.

The price to book in person was the same as booking.com but I thought it was fair.

There was also a decent enough continental breakfast.

Stayed here as a couple. Fantastic accommodation facing lake Maggiore, worth every penny and more. You get a quiet hotel with fantastic lake view, free public parking nearby, good breakfast, decent restaurant for dinner, very friendly and helpful staff (brought us extra blankets, pillows as soon as we requested).

Prior to booking we carefully read reviews and it remains a mystery why the hotel is rated so low - definitely deserves a better rating. Yes, hotel design is a bit outdated, but we didn’t care much since it’s very well maintained. I saw people in comments complaining about absence of mini-bar - seriously? 🤪

we stayed in August in extreme heat and did not suffer from it, with open windows you get a nice breeze. Also, 5-min walk gets you to boat rental and plenty of nice restaurants, tennis court and much more

Recommend, great for couples and families👌

Hotel have a great location close to the lake, which add a lot of joy to our stay. Very quiet atmosphere, public free parking close by.

Breakfast is good, and dinner in the hotel has a lot of options to choose from. Stuff is super friendly and helpful.

This hotel is everything you need to have great time in the lake Maggiore for a week or less, at good value.

Hotel Stay – Very Good

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. From the moment I checked in, I was warmly welcomed, and all my questions were answered professionally. The atmosphere throughout the hotel exudes a pleasant calmness that immediately puts you at ease.

My room was modernly furnished, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. A special highlight was the bed – incredibly restful and a true pleasure after a long day.

The breakfast was also a clear recommendation: the selection was varied and of high quality. I especially appreciated the fresh baked goods and the aromatic coffee. The service in the restaurant was attentive without being intrusive.

Europalace exceeded all expectations. We got a corner lake view room and it was absolutely stunning! The hotel room was spacious, clear and you could tell that the bathrooms had recently been renovated. The location is perfect, and walkable to all the necessary areas around. The only difficult thing is getting to the hotel. If you take the train, just know there is a bus stop that is slightly hidden that will take you to the city center then you will have to walk to the hotel. But, that is just more of a logistical element than an issue with the hotel. All in all, if I was to come back to the area I would definitely stay here again.

Our second time staying here - super nice hotel and lovely staff. Cozy old style Italian hotel in a beautiful area and breathtaking views over the lake. Breakfast is really good - especially the coffee!

Will return again for sure.
