Il Mirto e la Rosa in Agrigento

Absolutely amazing experience. We booked this place by chance while on our road trip of Sicily. We couldn't have chosen better. The property has a home feel, rather than a hotel; it is a place that could be almost the house of your imaginary Sicilian relatives. Bedding and furniture are traditional, Italian vintage ones. The suite is a massive 40m2 one with a terrace overlooking the sea. The other rooms also have a lovely, home feel. Yet everything is also the best you could expect in this setting: a large swimming pool, poolside shower and amenities, lounge chairs and big trees and gardens with shade and fruit growing nearby. Breakfast is made by the host with homemade cake and bread, homegrown fruit and even honey from their own beehives. There is, if you ask nicely, the chance to buy Nero d'Avola wine from their own vineyards, the grapes of which you can taste at breakfast. We were absolutely delighted to be here also because of the peace and quiet, off the beaten track (make sure to use Googlemaps to get there!) and yet close to the nearby Valley of the Temples and Scala dei Turchi beach. We recommend eating at nearby Favara, Agrigento or Villaggio Mose' for dinner. At the end of our stay, we felt like saying goodbye to family. We will be back.

We stayed for two nights in this fantastic b & b where we were greeted with kindness and the owner treated us like her children.
The rooms are large, clean and tidy, but above all the homemade brioches are something spectacular. We will not fail to return if we pass by Agrigento.

Excellent accommodation, in the countryside, in a quiet and peaceful place.

The camper parking area is on a gravel bed with attached bathrooms. Very kind owners. The cost is 15 euros per camper. You can use the swimming pool attached to the bed and breakfast with a modest expense. Useful for visiting the valley of the temples.
