I spent almost a week in Sicily at La Stagnone, staying at Alby Rondina Kite Resort, and it truly turned into one of the most memorable and heartwarming experiences I’ve ever had.
The moment I arrived, I was embraced by a sense of warmth, kindness, and genuine connection that instantly made me feel at home. There’s something beautifully unique about this place, not just the stunning location and ideal kite conditions, but the people who bring it all to life.
Sofia, Michele, Carlos and all the others - thank you all for your openness, generosity, and for creating such a welcoming atmosphere. The way everyone shares their time, energy, and smiles so effortlessly creates a feeling of community that’s hard to put into words. I came as a stranger and left feeling like part of a little family.
I took 6h of kite lessons with Michele to learn how to jump, and I couldn’t have asked for a more patient, thoughtful, and encouraging instructor. His teaching style is clear and constructive, always delivered with honesty, positivity, and a calm confidence that made learning feel both exciting and achievable. Every small step forward felt like a shared success. That kind of support and attentiveness makes all the difference when you're pushing your limits.
This place is a little haven of good energy, trust, fun, and real human connection. I came for the wind, but I left with new skills, beautiful memories, a deep sense of gratitude, and a full heart 🩵

We loved the staff and the resort - it felt like a real community - everyone was so friendly and helpful. The kite surfing Instructors, David and Michele were absolutely amazing and made a huge effort to help us get from absolute beginners to actually catching some good rides at the end of our stay. Before we booked this trip, we were looking for the best place to learn to kite surf in Europe. After being here, we can report that this resort on the lagoon was a perfect place to learn with its shallow warm water, situated between the mainland and a long island, and blessed with a good wind most of the time. On the days when it was less windy, we also had a great time touring around the area and visiting Aegadian Islands.

I had a great experience with the kite school Prokite Alby Rondina and felt comfortable from day one. I made steady progress and gained more confidence with each session. Special thanks to my instructor Davide – calm, competent, and very focused. His teaching style made me feel safe and helped me improve a lot.

He also gave me clear and helpful feedback after each session, which really made a difference. I always felt well supported and motivated.

All in all, a professional and relaxed atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend this kite school to anyone who wants to learn or improve their skills.

Had a second week with the team in Sicily. Booked some further sessions with Guilia, who was pleased to see me again to try to improve my upwind riding. She is very patient, calm, experienced and worked to smooth out and improve my techniques.

Nice place, good kitespot for beginners and freestyle. Nice accommodation, good food, good outdoor space and very friendly staff.

Alby Rondina accomodation is by far the best in all Stagnone village. Villas, customer service and rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. I would just say that we should just have to be advised that one of the three rooms was much smaller and doesn’t have a wardrobe. Also for next year I would add washing machine. For the rest TOP EXPERIENCE !❤️

Great kiteboarding gem in Sicily!

Good vibes and flat waters in the best kite resort in the area. Their caring and lovely team were always ready to help.
Our well equipped villa was only a few steps away from the water and the fun. It was so nice to just walk out and kite.
They have a huge grassy area (that grass protects your kite) for launching and landing kites with a good seating arrangement for taking a brake or just watching people ride.
The kite school not only offered lessons for all levels on the easiest conditions possible, but they also offer rentals, wing lessons and paddle boarding.
Thanks to the Pro kite Alby Rondina team for making our vacation so joyful. What a great experience. You guys rock!

My trip to ProKite Alby in Lo Stagnone is the fourth kiting destination that I’ve been to (previously Tarifa, El Gouna and El Medano). In terms of kiting, this is the best location by far for me as a beginner. I was able to make huge strides forwards in my kiting journey because of the flat water, decent wind (typically 13 to 16 knots) and exceptionally good tuition.

My kiting instructor was Anna. I cannot thank her enough. She is patient, highly encouraging, very professional, super caring and keen to see you progress! With the combination of Anna and this location, progress for anyone is almost certainly going to be very very good.

Overall I was really happy with the resort. All staff, from reception, to the cleaners, to the breakfast staff, etc were all lovely. They were all friendly and welcoming.

The beds were comfortable. I was very impressed with the every day cleaning of our room (which was done to a very high standard). The rooms are well maintained and the wifi was good throughout my stay. The only negative is that sound does travel through the solid walls more than I expected, but the only sounds I was hearing was the running of showers/flushing of toilets. You get used to it and it’s not loud - just more than I expected to hear. Also the bathroom could be improved with a shelf to put items, but this is a minor detail. The bathroom and room was spacious and the setting was nice with a small garden, table and chairs to the front, which is very appreciated as a place to dry swimming shorts and kiting gear. Breakfast at the resort was well worth it too. They provide a really nice selection of food, all presented very well with a fantastic setting to sit and eat. Very relaxing, with lots of nice people around.

The location is rural with a great rustic feel to the area - a great charm. It’s totally possible to visit without a car and to get everything you need within walking distance, and to have enough of a selection of places to eat/drink/enjoy evenings. However, I think it’s best with a car as there are plenty of tourist places to visit a little further away (typically a max of 45 min away) and it can be nice to expand the area that you explore in the evenings for places to eat. There are so many in the area and a car helps you to get there easily.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again, I’d definitely kite here again and I’d definitely have Anna as my instructor again. A truly brilliant kiting holiday :)

Amazing place for kite surfing. they have a big Garden for the kite set up and very friendly stuff with capable and professional instructors. I highly recommend this place, just the shower holder was broken. the breakfast is good and they have new kites every year for renting
