When we arrived, the lady at the reception greeted us with a smile and everything seemed fine — until we entered the room. Unfortunately, we were given what was clearly the worst room in the property, and it definitely was not fully shown on the photos on Booking.
The room has no proper window at all, only a pair of doors that look like terrace doors. But once you open them, you realize you are at the bottom of the building, staring directly at huge water tanks and a noisy water pump. This pump runs constantly, day and night, and it woke us up multiple times. You can actually see this in the photos if you look closely.
For the price we paid, I think it’s fair to expect at least a normal window that can open for some fresh air. Nobody is asking for a city view, but a proper window should be the minimum standard.
Inside the room, apart from a small fridge, there was absolutely nothing. Not a single glass, no kettle, nothing at all. Again, if you check the Booking photos, you’ll notice this too.
Overall, very disappointing. We felt misled by the photos and the description, and I cannot recommend this place given the conditions we experienced.

The hotel is located at the near to Catania's main street, Etea, close to the beautiful Villa Bellini park.
We needed an overnight stay before leaving for the airport at 6:00 AM. The pleasant and smiling manager, Milena, checked us in two hours early, providing an electric kettle, tea, coffee, and cookies upon request.
She also gave us tips on where to eat and what to see.
The hotel met all our expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located place at a reasonable price.

A solid 15 out of 10 – we had four days and nights so amazing, we’re still buzzing about them. Just the hosting alone deserves an Oscar!
Our host? Top-notch private service. From the charming airport pickup to the effortlessly friendly communication - everything was perfect… and, well, a little extra special.
And then there’s the other powerhouse lady: a true highlight! Energetic, hilarious, and with her surprise culinary treats, she saved us two dinners we weren’t even expecting - absolutely delightful.
The rooms? Small but little dreamy: spotless, cozy, and the beds… little clouds of heaven. Honestly, I considered just staying in bed forever.
In short: we’ll be back. Maybe not just for the rooms… some charming personalities leave a little extra impression.

We were going to spend the night at giro nel mondo where we had a reservation for 2 rooms. The host was the worst person ever, he started yelling through the phone while we were waiting for him in the reception. He then arrived saying we would be sorry for wasting his time and continued yelling as us for no reason without really explaining what the problem was. He wanted us to pay again without really confirming that the payment didn’t go through. We finally decided to pay by card, when his machine wasn’t working he started arguing that we had to trust him because he let us in his place and we couldn’t stay there if we didn’t trust him. I tried to explain to him that I was not about to trust a guy who comes yelling thou the door that I have never met in my life. He proceeded to kick us out yelling at us terribly! My friends and I (all women) felt really insecure around this guy, he was extremely rude and disrespectful, kept screaming at our faces and had no real arguments to kick us out or to react the way he did.

During our visit to Sicily, we stayed at Giro Del Mondo in Catania — and it was absolutely worth it! It’s a beautiful place with themed rooms, good air conditioning, and well-equipped bathrooms.
The location is quiet yet very central: close to the lovely Bellini Park and within walking distance of a handy supermarket — perfect for grabbing essentials.
Pro tip: use an Uber Black Taxi instead of the official taxis — it’s usually cheaper and more reliable. We even managed to get a ride at 7 AM to catch our flight without any hassle.
We were warmly welcomed by a kind older lady (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name), but you can tell this place has experience and is very well maintained.
In short: a peaceful, clean, and charming base to explore Catania. We were very satisfied! Grazie mille!

Beautiful room with comfortable bed. The room haven't had a window but we have been traveling whole days. Great communication with owner. The best breakfast a near the hotel. We needed to pay for parking but the space was next to the front door so remember to have some coins with you if you travelling by car. All good.

the worst b&b i ever been in me and my parents booked a room they gave us roon by the name igloo the room is 1.75M tall

the owner saw i am tall 1.94M and he didnt bother to say anything about it he first of all wanted to take the money
the room was nothing like the picture we didnt agreed to even stay there for the night

The design of the interior is cool, the owner is very helpful and kind, responsible, toilet facilities are new, bed is ok, location is close to the city centre and, in the same time, very quiet, supermarket is next to the door. Some people can say that it's dangerous around, but it's totally not. Easy to find parking slot around, but there is paid parking zone, so be ready to pay (ticket machine was broken, took our money, but didn't print a ticket, so take a careful look on it before)
You can hear EVERYTHING that happens with other B&B guests, rooms are completely not soundproof. There was no view at all from the window, but we can live without it. Breakfast could be better, fresh bread and some cheese/ham options are missing, but it's a "typical Italian" breakfast as it is, you have to deal with it.. it is served inside the room, which is comfy, but not very exited of the quality, but.. for that money - nothing to complain, price/value is awesome
