Very bad experience. I paid €770 in advance for 7 nights for an internal room. When we arrived, they tried to charge 27% more for the room and put us in an outside annex next to the noisy street. We cancelled and went elsewhere. But they REFUSED TO REIMBURSE, and this is illegal because (1) they did not respect contractual obligations for what we had purchased, and (2) they never sent cancellation conditions to us. We are currently going through legal proceedings in court, using my credit card insurance, to recover costs + damages.

Pros:
-astonishing terrace view
-kind and friendly staff, special thanks to Mrs. Alessia, she was extremely helpful and supportive.
-comfortable bed
-decent breakfast
-outdoor pool

Cons:
-jacuzzi, which was the main reason I’ve booked the presidential suite for such a price, doesn’t have a heating system. Meaning if you want to use it maintenance staff have to fill it up with hot water using rubber hose, which takes around ~2h each time and makes it really difficult to enjoy it without planning beforehand, not to mention lack of comfort with it.
-WiFi didn’t work in the room
-horrendous amounts of dust, to the point it was hard to enjoy the vaccinations with running nose and a headache.
- rather old and damaged room, it might have been a “gold” standard 7 years ago.

For over 600€/2 nights it wasn’t worth the price.

Very untrustworthy hotel that does not look after or care about customers. THEY DO NOT REFUND CUSTOMER MONEY DESPITE MAKING PROMISES, DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.

I had my wedding planned in Sicily during August 2020 and had booked >£4000 worth of rooms for 30 guests after being recommended this hotel. Unfortunately, we had our rooms booked before the pandemic and have since had many COVID deaths in our family. We have been chasing our refund for over 15 months now but Grazia and Claudia continue to ignore our emails and hang up on our telephone calls telling us their admin team in in quarantine for the last 12 months!

Grazia/Claudia - where is our refund and why have you not issued partial vouchers? I know many people with similar experiences who will too be sharing reviews. May I encourage everybody with bad experience to also complain to the hotels partners such booking.com, Expedia etc as such terrible service during a very difficult pandemic is very stressful and not fair. I have encouraged my wedding party to also write a review on their similar experience.

Short:
Don't stay here. I do not recommend this hotel to my family and friends. They are not transparent with regard to what is not working, they do not try to solve what is not working, and even if things - AC and WIFI - are not working they refuse to refund. Worst experience ever.
I am now seeing similar stories to this one from one week ago, one month ago, etc. Just avoid this place.

Details:
At check in, I noticed that one of the receptionists wanted to say something to us but Ms. Claudia (one of the receptionists) didn't let her speak. I went to my room and noticed that 1. Wifi was not working, 2. AC was not working. It was 33ºC outside.
I went to the reception and Ms. Claudia told me that they had a problem with AC and Wifi, which she could perfectly let me know 5 minutes before.
I told her that I really needed the wifi, and she told me that maybe she could get a router for me, so I should wait for news in 20min. I went to my room and waited for 1hour.
After this, I went to the reception and asked for a refund of my reservation. They refused.
Furthermore, the room was full of dust, and they said that they would pick our bags from the car to the room, and in the 1hour that we stayed waiting, it didn't happen. The hotel is a mess. The pool is tiny compared to what it seems in the photos. Just avoid this place.

We paid £4094 via booking.com to Hotel Villa Del Bosco in Sicily to book rooms for our wedding (paid in December 2019) but unfortunately due to Covid we followed government guidelines to cancel. I have personally been dealing with the Hotelier to resolve this matter in a civilised manner and originally the Hotelier agreed to refund money within 10 days this was months ago but nothing materialised so I got in touch with Grazia and finally with Claudia who promised to resolve this matter and ask for bank details but after several weeks monies still owed not refunded. We are not getting any response to our emails from the Hotelier anymore.I feel like being robbed of over 4K!!! Very very disappointing!!!

The rooms are nothing like the pictures, and there was no good a/c in our room in JULY, even though we told them about 4 times to fix it. The breakfast was very poor. We had large luggages and we did not have any lifts to our room, and no one helped us to get the luggages up the stair case. The receptionist where of no help. It is not worth the money we paid.
