Komodo Short Stay Apartments in Trento

As evidenced by some of my other reviews, I've stayed in many places in the Trento area and extremely low scores from me are rare. Unfortunately, Komodo Apartments is easily the worst I've experienced. From the cheap furniture, to the dated facilities, with some bits literally falling apart, to the inadequate hygiene, to the discourtesy and inadequacy of the personnel, to the scant hygiene and cleaning, to the lack of courtesy items (that you find basically in every other private apartment for rent): it's hard for me to find anything positive to say about Komodo. If pressed, I would pick the location: but even in this respect, be aware of the noise from concerts and parties if you happen to be there at the "wrong" time---you might be in for a difficult night.

Stayed here in 2021 and it was a good stay. The unit smelled of smoke so they allowed us to change units. Booked a weeklong stay in 2023 online and paid for it up front almost a week in advance, sent an email to start the online check-in process and was informed only the day before my stay was to start that it was cancelled. I went to reception to understand what went wrong and was very rudely treated and rudely informed that there was a computer error with double booking. It was obvious they didn’t care at all. They offered another place in the city outskirts where I could stay for a discount. That was all they offered to resolve the matter in addition, obviously to a full refund for the booking that was abruptly canceled at the last minute by them. Do they not check their booking calendar every day to see if there are booking errors or accidental double bookings? I booked a week in advance. There was ample time to sort this out before leaving me stranded. Really appalling. I will never book here again. For kind and hospitable treatment, I recommend Habitat Apartments which is in the same Albere block, closer to the museum.
