Residence Rösch in Merano

We stayed at Residence Rosch in June 2025, and it was the perfect homebase for us to explore Merano! The apartment-hotel is a stunningly renovated historical building right in the heart of the old town, and our apartment was clean, spacious, and very thoughtfully decorated and well-stocked. Everything we experienced was very high quality. We chose to opt into the hotel breakfast each morning, because it was so delicious and a lovely experience that truly enhanced our visit to Merano! Many of the foods were local, with some even from the hotel’s own garden! Mihaela oversaw the breakfast room, always greeting us with a friendly smile and ensuring that we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the opportunity to speak with the hotel’s founder and manager Thomas, who eagerly shared about the history of the city and South Tyrol, and provided very helpful tips for sightseeing and dining. The passion for supporting the city and its people is evident, just as is the desire to provide a wonderful stay for his guests, with thoughtfulness and close attention to details. Highly recommend staying at Residence Rosch for an amazing hotel experience in Merano, and we can’t wait to stay there again soon!

Lovely stay. Stayed here with 3 young kids. Breakfast was excellent, hosts very welcoming and warm and so helpful. Rooms were modern and very comfortable. Fantastic spot in the centre of town. Highly recommend - we’d stay here again for sure!

Residence Rösch is an amazing hotel. Thomas brought up to our apartment and explained everything clearly. There is a small elevator (1-2 people) due to the age of the building and keeping the charming features. The apartments surround an atrium with spider plants around the stairwell. Light streams through the windows above.

The apartment was spotless, has heated floors, generously sized rooms and all the needed amenities. Love the SodaStream to bubble our water 🤗 There's a stovetop to cook on and a small fridge along with a coffee maker and a hot water kettle. Windows to the outside have the metal shutters that can be taken down at night to block out light and any morning sound that may have filtered in. It's centrally located right in the Lauben with a bakery to the left and a bakery to the right.

The breakfast that was brought up was delicious. On the second day, I also ate and they were able to accommodate my vegan diet. I had wonderful options and my breakfast was delicious. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Thomas and his mum are super welcoming! If you need advice on where to eat out or where to go hiking, Thomas is the guy to go to. His suggestions were spot on!

The room was very clean and furnished with great style. The breakfast was exceptional: from local produces of prosciutto, salami and cheese to pastries and fresh eggs, omelettes or sunny-side ups. You miss out if you don't go for it!

Will definitely be my first choice when searching for a stay in Merano.

Incredible apartment in the pedestrian zone of downtown Merano. Very new when we visited. The owner and his family are so friendly and helpful. We loved everything about the apartment - especially the shower. Dog friendly. Private area for parking also. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Merano. You have a kitchen, kitchenware, and the beds are so comfortable. All you could need for a great stay.
