Agriturismo Casalta in Gubbio

I would have liked to review this structure positively, too bad that the morning before our arrival, Roberto calls us informing us that he had mistakenly overbooked and therefore we would not have been able to sleep at his structure. However, he promises to settle us in a valid alternative which, according to him, was "just below" his. We trusted and agreed as we were assured that we could still use all the Casalta's services (including swimming pool) even if we were physically sleeping elsewhere. The result, however, was to find ourselves in a residence-like structure about 3 km of dirt roads from the Casalta (therefore impossible to move easily from one place to another except by car, therefore impossible to use the swimming pool or even just go for breakfast there ... would have been an absurd inconvenience). Therefore, upon our arrival at the alternative residence, Roberto did not even come to manage the thing himself or at least to make sure if we needed something or other ... Obviously, having found ourselves in a residence, not in a hotel, there was no a reception or a common kitchen and in fact to get a bottle of water we had to go and buy it ourselves at the village bar ... The next morning, Roberto obviously comes back and invites us to the Casalta to arrange cards and bills. Then the apologies arrived and they were certainly appreciated, but perhaps a symbolic discount on the bill would have been just as well, which instead remained unreasonably unchanged, even if the structure offered as an alternative was certainly not equal or in any case it was different (it had no swimming pool and breakfast was all prepackaged) in addition to the fact that it was sold to us as a neighbor, but it was not close and it would not have been possible to drive back and forth in the car for everything ... I understand that mistakes can happen, I understand everything, but alas, the general feeling that remained in my mouth unfortunately was not of a sincerely regretful hotelier, but of a person who usually falls into these kinds of situations, perhaps due to a somewhat too rough management, and equally approximately manages these unexpected events . Pity...

I had booked a three-room apartment for 2 nights during the carnival holidays. At the time of booking I had pointed out to Roberto that I was arriving with an electric car and that I would need to recharge it. Answer: no problem.
We arrive (me, my wife and 2 children) and find a damp apartment as we realized that in the winter it is heated only a few hours before arrival, and consequently it was not comfortable. But we would have gotten over it, considering it would get better the next day.
We try to wash our hands but the hot water does not arrive, in the sense that no water came out of the tap; Roberto had to intervene in the apartment to open the shutters of the hot water closed for fear of winter ice. At the end of the intervention, the hot water reached the bathroom but not the kitchen.
At this point the children turn on the television (it was a smart TV, according to Roberto), but no national channels are received but only teleshopping channels. Roberto arrives once again, but nothing.
So let's try to watch the TV on the mobile phone but it has no field and ask for the wi-fi to be enabled, which unfortunately has no signal inside the apartment but only outside; we warn Roberto, but nothing; Roberto can't "work the miracle" and so we just have to watch it rain outside, all in front of the window.
Once "settled" in the apartment, I ask (always to Roberto) to recharge the car, as requested at the time of booking but there is no socket accessible from my supplied 4m long cable; then Roberto takes an extension cable and we connect it to my cable which in turn connects to the car, while it rains and snows. The socket of the extension cable supplied has no protections for the outside and the car goes into alarm and does not charge.
At this point my wife and I do an analysis of the situation and we decide to leave the structure after a couple of hours from arrival.
We have been withheld the amount of 100 euros sent as a deposit and issued the tax document.
It is not my intention to argue with the structure but only to point out that the choice to abandon the structure is due to the behavior of the manager who was not able to guarantee what was requested and advertised in the various portals (e.g. electric car charging available).
If you promise services, they must be present otherwise it is better not to advertise them. The apologies from Roberto were appreciated but they could not solve the problem and therefore were useless. It would have been elegant to offer a voucher for an amount equal to the sum withheld to be used for a future stay, which would have made the memory of Casalta less bitter. Voucher that we would never have used given the premise, but it would have allowed Casalta to save face.
