Hotel Valentino in Orvieto

We decided on our Italy trip rather last minute (3 weeks before) and had limited choices of hotel in Orvieto. The initial impression was underwhelming, modest reception area and room with basic furnishing. The room was spacious, compared with the one we stayed in Rome, but the shower room was really tight! Beds were comfortable. Breakfast spread was basic and not what we cared to have while on holiday so we ate out after first day. We note there are many small nicer looking hotels nearer to the Duomo if one makes advance bookings. Having said that, we grew to appreciate the helpful service of the managers (we reckon it's a family run hotel) and their friendliness and would recommend to those looking for hotel within their budget. Frankly, it doesn't matter too much as we typically spend little time in our room.

My sister and I stayed here four nights while traveling around Italy and loved this place. The room was perfect for us, a nice size, big windows, lots of power outlets, very comfortable beds, lots of places to put your things, big bathroom with a big shower, very clean. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good too. We loved the location, on a quiet street with a short walk to Corso Cavour, the Duomo, and everything you need.
