We recently visited Spoleto and stayed at the Clitunno hotel ,it was not a great experience I am afraid we did not find staff particularly welcoming j the room was small ,tired in spite of some renovations not a dressing table to put toiletries , breakfast was poor emphasis on cakes no hot buffet ,a small choice of cold meat (2) had to plug in the toaster plug on the floor and only one selection of bread indifferent staff very disappointed

There are people smoking down below outside my room and the smoke flooded in when I opened the window . The room is very stuffy and is now very smoky. Internet is terrible and there was no hot water in shower. Staff was not at all interested in helping us with internet issue. Hotel needs major inside renovation. The old fashioned door requires you to lock yourself in with a key. The tv can’t stream Netflix due to poor WiFi signal. Scaffolding on windows outside blocks all light. Great location and breakfast was good.self serve coffee machine and table service coffee a plus. I stayed here as part of a tour and wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff kept passport to make a copy and only returned on request. Building in scaffolding. Cold shower. Loud music until 1am from a party downstairs.

I was staying here for 3 nights with my Overseas Adventure Travel group of 12. We were very pleased with the attention we had from the greetings by the owners, 2 brothers and their parents. Their restaurant was very accommodating and the food was delicious. The hotel is within walking distance of the sights in Spoleto.

This is a lovely family-owned hotel. We stayed in one of the recently renovated rooms which was very comfortable with a well-designed modern bathroom. Another friend stayed in a more traditional room with a timbered ceiling and a fireplace! The hotel's public spaces are full of charming pieces of furniture and ornaments. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection, and there was a possibility to eat it al fresco on their terrace. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Front desk staff friendly, but experience went down from there. Tiny room smelled musty, bathroom smelled worse. Fridge was left dirty. Shower too small and I’m a petite person. Sink had no counter space. Breakfast was very poor with canned fruit, coffee from a machine, mostly sugary starches. To go down hallways when dark, u have to find the wall light switches. Even then, lights don’t stay on long. I had to use my phone flashlight to find my room.

Great stay, excellent space
We found the hotel excellent; the staff were very helpful and quite friendly (some reviews said otherwise but we met several people working there and all were great)
We got the smallest room; which was quite small for two people but very clean and with nice furniture comfortable bed and new bathroom, good AC etc.
Breakfast was very nice and relaxing. The public spaces are really lovely. We took our time leaving each morning because it was so inviting.
We accidentally left something in the room after we left and the staff saved it for us to pick up days later.

Typical italian hotel: obsolete, looks dirty. You have to wait 2 minutes to have hot water. In -1 the wifi is hardly available, no signal for the mobile either. If you need to work, avoid this place. If you are unlucky and get a room in -1, the public restroom is really close from where you can always enjoy loud italian conversations. You have to avoid if you want to have rest as well, the windows dont close properly, you can hear everything from the street and even inside the hotel. The breakfast is por: no veggies, no fruits except a fruit salad which looks not to nice. They offer mostly unhealthy choices for breakfast, pies, ceoissants, pancakes, white bread. If somebody doesnt eat food with full of sugar, the only choice is scrambled eggs. The restaurant is nice, ate there once.

Room 138. No HOT water, lukewarm at best after 3 minutes. Weak shower. Tight shower stall. Spacious room. No sink soap and not refilled after request. No tea or instant coffee room makeup refill; had to request of younger front desk manager - the older gentleman said “NO NESCAFÉ!” Dangerous street approach for pedestrian approaching hotel on foot. Not in town center, uphill walk, and construction around hotel site. Excellent breakfast and dinner choices.

Excellent location, just in the center of Spoleto and walking distance to all famous landmarks.
