Wonderful experience. Rep was helpful, easy to communicate. Relaxing. There are no air conditioning but the rep lend us the fan, and it was ok and has a nice breeze.

Only met Gianna briefly but she seemed very kind. The apartment was very clean and well organized. I was especially pleased with an adjustable thermostat to control the heat. Traveling in winter I find myself forced to open windows to cool the room, but this was very easy and reliable. Windows had wonderful views and interior shutters to darken the room completely - not even the annoying smoke detector light - best sleep ever! Thick soundproof walls. Bed was 10/10. Self service apartment with a list of chores. Check in between 4-7 pm. Couple spent a week with RCI and paid $117 tax and “resort” fees. Lots of cute towns to visit in 1-2 hours we mostly went to Todi on quiet 15 minute drive. I don’t know what you’d do without a car - no spa or workout room or anything.

We enjoyed everything about the Castella and surrounding area.
It was so amazing immerse in Umbria's culture, to meet the locals and feel so welcome 🙏
The manager looked after us beautifully and went over and above to make our stay so special.

Gianna, the reception manager, is a warm, welcoming introduction to Castello Izzalini; she is helpful and responsive to your needs and makes great recommendations for destinations, tours and activities in the area. We use the Castello as a base to explore towns in the area -- Todi, Deruta, Morre (our most recent find), Orvieto, Perugia, Foligno, Gubio, Spello -- all less than an hour's drive away. We always rent a car so that we will have maximum flexibility there. The guests at the Castello seem to generally find a way to get to know each other during the week, usually over a bottle of wine, sitting together and chatting with people from all over the world. The Kairos Cafe is a great bar (cafe, restaurant) located next door to the Castello. Friendly people at the Cafe, a nice place to start the day with a cappuccino and a pastry and end the date with a delicious dinner.

Gianna is a wonderful hostess. The resort is unique with very comfortable rooms. The views are stunningly beautiful with so many varied things to do in and around Izzalini. The local restaurant, Kairos Cafe, is so full of character encouraging easy times, good food and excellent service.

Our apartment was cozy and nice. Well ventilated for the early summer heat and our host, Gianna, was quite nice helping us move in for the week. It has all you need to support yourself and family for the week. Lots of room to move around and get outdoors.

Stiflingly hot, no air conditioning, smell of rot, inflexible hotel worker, zero amenities, internet supposedly available in a ‘common room’ not at all in your own and rude local restaurant staff. Left after the second day and purchased alternative lodging. If you want a small room clean it costs $50.00 per cleaning…..3 towels for a family of 6 provided. No toilet paper provided over 7x days (we came back for final check out as no refund was possible). FALSE advertising. Avoid at all costs.

Good location with a car, to explore from. Building: cool old renovated building with spacious rooms..Good views and good restaurants within a few feet. BUT, no amenities on site. Need to use this as a home base to reach locations in Umbria, but wouldn’t want to come to stay on property all day.

The beauty of the place, an ancient palace is breath taking. The countryside around is incredible... The lady at the reception is so peaceful and professional, so human. We loved the whole village around and its atmosphere. Worth the trip. Do not miss it.
