Hotel La Diga - Altomincio Family Park in Valeggio sul Mincio

The room was clean, and the reception was super welcoming even though I arrived after 11 pm. Breakfast was really good for the price, with plenty of choices. As a wheelchair user, I appreciated that the hotel gave me a room on the ground floor as requested, and everything around the hotel was fully accessible.

The pools are a bit further from the hotel, but transport was provided and there’s easy access to the whole Altomincio village. By the pool area, you’ll find restaurants, activities, and a bar to spend the day. There’s also a nice promenade and bike path close to the hotel.

Highly recommend this place — especially for the price, it’s perfect!

Basic room, but very comfortable and functional with good air con and comfy beds and decent showers. We also had interconnected rooms for us and our children; very handy. Breakfast was good, with a range of options and staff helpful, quick and hard working. Only negative was the toilets in our bathrooms had a faint, but continual sewer whiff. Bar/restaurant downstairs was nice but unfortunately, over-priced as are all the food outlets in the wider Hu site facilities. River walk/cycle route right next to the Hotel is great.

Really friendly and helpful staff, clean and well maintained rooms and facilities, great family park offering pools, bars and kids entertainment.

The park's restaurant at froggy square should be avoided in our opinion but is luckily more than replaced by the adjoining Seiterre Birreria and Risotteria, which offer incredibly tasty dishes and beverages at a great price.

Regarding breakfast: We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that instead of just the advertised "small italian breakfast" (croissant, coffee, juice) we actually had a small buffet every morning, including butter/jam croissants, two professional coffee machines, three kinds of juice, boiled eggs, fried bacon, slices of salami, cheese and ham, bread rolls, toast + toaster, fruit yogurt, packets of butter, nutella, honey and several jams. There was also cereal but you would have to ask for fresh milk at the bar as milk somehow wasn't provided in the buffet room.

Excellent big room in a countryside for families
We stayed at the hotel for three nights. On same area there are a big camping village with little cottages, swimming pools, food store and lots of activities especially for the kids. A little train takes you to the village and back and is free. Hotel room was very big, clean and modern. We had two separate rooms put togerher and a big balcony. The busline from Peschiera del Garda was supposed to drive straight to the hotel door, but it did not. We had to walk with kids and suitcases app. 1,5 kilonetres along a busy road. So I recommend car rental or taxi (over 20 euros). Most of the guests arrive by own car. Breakfast was very basic (bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, juice, coffee, biscuits, croissant, cereal and fruit). Otherwise ok, but the buffet table was almost empty straight away and as I asked if more bread or yogurt is coming, the answer was no. And that was 40 minutes before breakfast serving was finished. Hotel is in the countryside and you need to have a car or bike to move around. Nice countryside and river next to the hotel and Peschiera Del Garda is worth visiting.

This beautiful hotel is located only a short walk from the Vatican city and about an hour walking distance to the Colosseum. The bar on the rooftop is just amazing. We spent every evening watching the sunset, If you are an early bird like me, you can also enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Rooms are very clean and cleaning service is provided daily. The reception is open 24/7. We arrived early, before checking time but we were able to leave our suitcases, which have been safely placed in our room by the staff later. The receptionist was very helpful. He gave us a map of town and main attractionsl. We added breakfast which was good but basic. Overall this hotel is highly recommended and I would stay there again.
