Reviews
All in all, a magnificent stay, would absolutely visit again!
I also feel like the bad reviews here are just spam, since they're all the same and very far from the truth.
My partner and I booked a room in this "hostel" for the low price of € 56 per night. When we arrive at the place, the owner first shows us the floor and our room. The bed was unmade; I had no sheets, dirty bedspreads and no pillow. There already we started badly.
He takes us to the living room to explain the payment theme and so on. It tells us that you have to pay more than the fees have gone up and that booking has not updated them, which would be € 3 more per person plus cleaning fees € 10, in total almost € 75. Which seems weird because booking already charged us € 40 and the fees were already paid, we should only pay at the hostel € 16. When we tell him that we had already paid € 40 he tells us to show him the bank statement of having paid for the reservation that he does not believe us and that we are cheating him. After having been taught by my partner, the payment in the account tells us again that because we have paid booking to booking instead of him. He tells us again and again that the amount is what we have to pay him. When we disagree, we say that we do not want the room and then it becomes more furious. When we get up to leave, he tells us that the reservation can be canceled free of charge but before paying € 20 to him. We tell him that we do not have money and he tells us to pay him with a credit card, we say no again, he insists on us again in such a way that he would not let us leave the house. Until we finally got out of there. It has been a horror, we have felt cheated and cheated. I've had a horrible fear. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR NOTHING.
He pasado un miedo horrible. NO LO RECOMIENDO PARA NADA.
When he finally let us in he was slurring his words and he seemed drunk, he took another hour to check us in, he prepared our room while we waited in the dining room (what was he doing while we waited?).
There was a sign on the door of our room telling us that it was 5 euro to use the air conditioning (what are we paying 45 euro for?) There was another sign on the bathroom door saying that we could only use it for 15 minutes at a time (a bit unwelcoming).
The room was beautiful! Wonderful old Italian furniture with paintings on the wall.
The bed was a wooden frame with an old metal fold out bed in the middle (not attached to eachother), it wasn't uncomfortable.
Breakfast was half a packaged croissant (half for me and half for my girlfriend), and some stale bread and butter. He said he would give us a discount but just gave us some change from his pocket and told us to buy a croissant from the shop.
As we left he accused us of breaking the bed off the frame (when of course it was two separate unattached parts). I see from other reviews that he has a habit of over charging peoples cards, I'm waiting for this to happen to me now and I will dispute it.
Don't go to this hotel, the owner is crazy, a drunk and a con man. You'd be better off sleeping on the streets!
