Where to stay with pets in Karuizawa

Very good location, convenient pick up bus services to the shopping mall and skiing areas! Room have a very good view and clean, comfortable environment for the stay!

Location: Near to Karuizawa train station (approximately 15 min walk to hotel west) and 10min walk to shopping mall. 5 min shuttle bus to reach ski area. But the bath powder is like toilet detergent scent

Amenities: there is Family mart operates until 11pm in hotel west. Service: Front desk lady can’t really speak English and hard to communicate. The man at cloakroom is unfriendly

Unexpectedly close to both the outlet mall and the JR station, it's within walking distance. The hotel is quite large, and the rooms are spacious too, with both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths

The front desk staff's English wasn't great, and check-in was chaotic with a lot of people, but I guess that's a common issue with big hotels. The shuttle service was also quite rigid.

there is a great experience to line in Hotel West, Prince Resort, especially, the Hot Spring where is clean and is easy to make customers relax.

The highlight for me was definitely the Ofuro (public bath) and the sauna; they were so relaxing. I slept exceptionally well here. If you’re looking for a peaceful and high-quality getaway in Karuizawa, this is it!

Pics 4 and 5 show the breakfast at the main building, which is high quality and delicious. From 10 AM to 8 PM, you can enjoy unlimited soft drinks in the bar area

The ski resort is just around the corner, with rental shops, a ski academy, and ski lifts all in the same area, making it very convenient

Hotel is located about 15 mins from the train station. There’s shuttle bus provided every half hour from the station. Stores closes between 8-9pm so nothing much at night. Good for relaxation

Fantastic resort with western artistic style. Location a bit far but that’s the purpose of a resort! Nice views from the hotel and gorgeous photo taking spots. Onsen also not bad

Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel & Resort is a perfect place for great views, relaxation and luxury retreat. We stayed on the top of the resort where the view of the Asama Mountain is breathtaking. The room is spacious but cozy

We stayed here for just one night, earlier in the summer. The hotel itself is not new but immaculately maintained and the rooms are decorated in a simple but very tasteful manner. We had the best sleep ever on those beds

Very quiet and near a beautiful nature stream

I was worried of the quality due to how cheap the booking was. But I was genuinely surprised how neat the building, lobby, rooms and bathrooms were when we got there

The hotel was very quiet and the room was a good size for two people. There's also free parking outside the hotel, and the breakfast was delicious

The owner and the hosts were all incredibly kind. The restaurant felt especially cozy in winter, and I enjoyed a morning walk around, catching a glimpse of Mount Fuji

However, the location is over 2 kilometers from the shopping center, so it's more suitable for those traveling by car

I've been staying here twice every summer for the past 4-5 years. It's built like a vacation home in a vast green area, and it soothes your soul every time

That said, there are a few minor drawbacks: 1️⃣ There is no elevator, escalator, or ramp from the entrance to the front desk, which makes carrying luggage inconvenient. Many guests have mentioned this issue

The environment of the hotel isnice and the location is not too far away from the station. It takes about 30mins to walk to the ski slope (if yall want to ski/snowboard)

Nice and cozy hotel, the service was very good thought not excellent, and the limousine service is very convenient and friendly to use. However, the room deco was kind of outdated and show some wear and tear

Above all, I was able to stay with the dog at a reasonable price, and the dog and dog were also delighted with the indoor and outdoor dock runs! The indoor dock run seemed to be a lot of fun and I tried to go to the dock run many times (laughs)!
