At first I really couldn't find the main door

I thought I had to take the stairs to carry my luggage up, but I ended up taking the elevator from the hot spring area to the second floor and walking through the overpass to the main building to check in! The environment is very beautiful and the soup is also good!

The highlight for me was definitely the Ofuro (public bath) and the sauna; they were so relaxing. I slept exceptionally well here. If you’re looking for a peaceful and high-quality getaway in Karuizawa, this is it!

Your luggage will already be in your room, but snowboards are not allowed inside. Each day, I'd take my own snowboard on the brown bus to the gondola at the East Building. You can buy ski passes and rent equipment there

Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel & Resort is a perfect place for great views, relaxation and luxury retreat. We stayed on the top of the resort where the view of the Asama Mountain is breathtaking. The room is spacious but cozy

You can also use the shuttle during your stay. We visited in December, which is the off season and the shuttle operated till 9pm and on demand as you needed it. I wouldn’t miss the carrot-apple juice every morning

It was the perfect hotel for a family with elementary school children. The food was great, with plenty of kids' favorites, so hungry kids could eat to their heart's content

I wanted to visit the Shiraito waterfall and snow in Karuizawa so i thought it's a good chance to stay in a nice resort if it's not so expensive and Lucky I found this property which i think the price was reasonable and my experience from this stay was so enjoyable

There are 2 onsen, public (gender seperated) and private. The private onsen is available on request from the lobby, however, to be considerate to other guests, a 45-minute limit will be applied

Please make sure to check the timetables and transit times. Driving at night is discouraged because its in the middle of a national park, and its very dark and alot of curves

Access is very easy, using the bus to Kose Onsen station (yes, they have their own bus stop). One word of caution, the bus schedule is limited and is not 24-hours

The location is a little far from Karuizawa Station, but the building is clean and cute. Recently some places don't even provide toothbrushes, so it was great that they came with a towel as well.

It takes 20 minutes to walk to Karuizawa Station. There are public baths and toilets. The service is pretty good, but the English level needs to be improved.
