Spa-Hotels in Karuizawa

We stayed here for 2 nights during a late summer. The hotel located closed by Toys Kingdom, which is convenience for our purposed. The room we selected equipped with toys, and that our kids quite like it! The room was quite dated while most of facilities works perfectly. The room was not perfectly designed for kids (1 and 5 years) due to it outdated layout (the room door was not a slide door and the...

At first I really couldn't find the main door. I thought I had to take the stairs to carry my luggage up, but I ended up taking the elevator from the hot spring area to the second floor and walking through the overpass to the main building to check in! The environment is very beautiful and the soup is also good!

The place overall it's quite good, especially with the food and shinkansen package. My biggest complaint are the beds which are terrible, uncomfortable, and really messed up my back. Everything else could be awesome but at the end of the day it's a hotel and if the beds are terrible it loses out on a couple stars.

Great Hotel with lots of amenities for kids and adults. There are 3 different restaurants that you can choose , Japanese style , Foreign style and an open buffet. Nearbybthere is a very big Kids entertainment park with animals and toys. Restaurants starts from 8 pm and you can enjoy the hot springs( inside the hotel). before the Restaurant.

Dinner buffet is lots of delicious cooks Including japan local ,Chinese dumpling, desserts, ice cream And then you can enjoy hotspring to relax the tour tiredness and also go to the forest to absorb the energetic air . If you go to japan and come here Don't miss the fulfill comfortable atmosphere hotel.

got its own ski resort, very convenient. no need for car rental.

Very good location, convenient pick up bus services to the shopping mall and skiing areas! Room have a very good view and clean, comfortable environment for the stay!

The cabin felt like being in a forest, perfect for a summer trip. However, the facilities are a bit dated, making the experience less comfortable. I should have booked a room in the main building. That would have made accessing the hot springs and gym much more convenient.

there is a great experience to line in Hotel West, Prince Resort, especially, the Hot Spring where is clean and is easy to make customers relax.

This was my first time in Karuizawa, and I picked this hotel blindly, but it turned out to be even better than I expected. The hotel is right next to the outlets, making shopping, getting around, and dining all super convenient. The room decor was also very cozy.

Unexpectedly close to both the outlet mall and the JR station, it's within walking distance. The hotel is quite large, and the rooms are spacious too, with both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths. It's a great place for couples and families with kids to stay.

Highly recommended! I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa. The hotel offers great value for money, and I was really impressed by the design—the atmosphere and attention to detail throughout the space are fantastic. The highlight for me was definitely the Ofuro (public bath) and the sauna; they were so relaxing. I slept exceptionally well here. If you’re looking for a peaceful and high...

The hotel environment is beautiful, and the facilities are very new. A special thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality, which really made our trip even better. The only downside is the breakfast—there aren't many options, and the taste is just average. The location is a bit remote, but there is a Lawson and a few restaurants nearby. Plus, the hotel provides a convenient shuttle bus to the train...

My husband and I had the best time! The hotel was conveniently located, a short drive from the train station and ski resorts. It is also very close to a snowboard rental. Want to give a shout-out to Ryu, who helped us communicate with the transport company when they sent us the wrong snowboard. Our stay wouldn't have been so lovely without Ryu and the team. Thank you!

Amazing hotel — truly a 5-star experience. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. I especially loved the public bath, which was spotless, relaxing, and maintained at the perfect temperature. We stayed for three nights and left feeling completely recharged. During our visit, we also booked the set dinner at the hotel restaurant...

We had an amazing experience here. The rooms and amenities were top notch. We especially want to thank Jason and mention him directly because he went above and beyond for us. I lost my phone on the Shinkansen and he helped us track it down and make sure they held it for us in Tokyo. He was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Thank you so much Jason! And thank you Hotel Indigo for a wonderful...

I traveled with my two children for a ski trip and the hotel stay exceeded my expectations. The rooms were large for Japanese standards and very clean. We ordered pizza and french toast from room service for dinner and had the buffet breakfast. Both were absolutely delicious. The breakfast had Japanese and Western options to please everybody. We made use of the onsen and morning shuttle service. Overall...

Had a great time at this resort hotel! Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable! Had a great experience with all the ground staff. Breakfast, Lounge access staff were all excellent! Special thanks to Miyata, the lady in short hair with black jacket and trousers. They were lovely and super helpful and friendly.

Good services, bed room is clear and comfort! Williing to go again!

Despite being a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member, I was disappointed to find that lounge access and breakfast were both chargeable. I was told that such services are not included with bookings made through Trip.com. Had I known this beforehand, I wouldn't have booked, making this a truly disappointing trip.

A great hotel in Karuizawa. Free parking is available if you're driving, and the breakfast is excellent value for money. (Renting a car is best for exploring this area)

A nice hotel in this area. Room is spacious, comfortable beds. Location is a bit out of the popular area. It is fine if you are driving. Breakfast is nice with most things that you need. The onsen bath area also quite big with outside bath.

This was my first time staying at the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel. The public onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths, and while the facilities were clean, the area was a bit small. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and the environment was quiet. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Highly recommended!

Location of hotel is very convenient. It is walking distance to the Karuizawa Outlet Mall. Hotel is just right next to the slopes, very suitable for families with children looking for a suitable place to stay for a ski trip.

Hotel is just next right from the ski park! Direct onsen once done 👍

very convenient clean and tidy it is a good place to relax plus the outlet is super large and you may hang around for a day

perfect location for ski beginners hotel lobby provides lots of space at easy to loiter with kids free flow of coffee n soft drinks

Very cozy and clean hotel. Nice environment and next to the snowman park. The hotel provides a free shuttle to shopping mall.

Wonderful stay in Karuizawa Hotel East. Many facilities including hotspring. Beautiful place to stay.

excellent services, great food and great onsen. Very large room, staff are friendly.

Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel & Resort is a perfect place for great views, relaxation and luxury retreat. We stayed on the top of the resort where the view of the Asama Mountain is breathtaking. The room is spacious but cozy. The dinners were very good. We stayed two nights (half board), the two fine-dining French dinners with local ingredients we had were superb. The courses served at the dinners didn...

Highly recommend! This is the best hotel in Karuizawa. The hotel has a very understated European style, and it took me quite a while to find the lobby. 😂😂😂 The room is huge; for this price point, it might just be the biggest room in all of Japan. The hotel is famous for its Western cuisine. Dinner and breakfast for three people only cost a little over 5000 RMB. If I ever come back to Karuizawa...

Fantastic resort with western artistic style. Location a bit far but that’s the purpose of a resort! Nice views from the hotel and gorgeous photo taking spots. Onsen also not bad

I stay at this hotel every year. It has a traditional, old-world feel, with a quiet, private atmosphere. The hotel restaurant serves French cuisine, but reservations are required. There are two hot springs, both with their own unique charm.

There maybe BED BUGS, My back was pinched several times during the stay.

Beautiful hotel with very good breakfast. Location is good but it is not easy for senior because no elevator and also not easy to pull the suitcase from parking to main building.

Nice room but check in/checkout procedures were a little rigid

Good place to stay for vacation

Good environment, is very chill here but location is abit far so we need to go by taxi. This area is abit hard to find food with walking area.

They kindly upgraded our room on the day of arrival! The location was super convenient for getting anywhere, and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the private bath, which had flexible hours. There was coffee and tea available at the front desk, which we took with us when checking out. It's a really great hotel!

Be careful that the actual room is not the same as trip shown. Everything is good but the room wasn’t my expected. Finally trip.com refunded me a certain amount, fair enough. Look at my photos, if you accept such a room paying this price, go for head, with free-spa, no complain. Just because it wasn’t what I wanted😂😂

I'd seen some reviews saying the facilities were a bit old-fashioned, but I actually found them to be perfectly fine. It was clean and hygienic, and the staff were very welcoming. Since it was winter, there weren't many tourists, so it was wonderfully quiet. We booked two twin rooms for our group of three adults and one child, and we were all really happy with the room views. We booked breakfast...

The room is quite spacious with a great design, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. The lobby is grand with stunning floor-to-ceiling window views. There are shuttle services to the hot springs and outlet mall nearby, but the most convenient thing is the train station! 👍

I brought my own snowboard to Karuizawa. It's a 70-minute Shinkansen ride from Tokyo Station to JR Karuizawa Station. The Shinkansen luggage racks have straps to secure snowboards. After exiting the station, head to the hotel service center (open until 7 PM) located on the far right of the 7/11 convenience store at the South Exit (Pic 7). You can drop off your luggage there and then explore the Plaza...

Facilities: Although old, everything is in working order. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: Very pleasant, you could spend days here without even leaving the hotel. Service: The hotel offers a shuttle bus, and if you miss it, the staff will even arrange a business car for you, which is very convenient.

The staff are nice and helpful . The room is well equipped and cozy . The shuttle bus service and transfer service is thoughtful . The view outside is fantastic . The onset is great !

True to its reputation as an established resort hotel, the rooms are spacious, and the environment is excellent. The shuttle service is incredibly convenient. After arriving at JR, you can drop off your luggage at the Prince Hotel reception and go shopping directly. By the time you check in, your luggage will already be in your room. When checking out, you can also have the hotel send your luggage...

I stayed at Hotel Marroad Karuizawa, which is about a 12-minute walk from Karuizawa Station. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful. The lobby has a charming retro Showa-era vibe, and the hotel is a two-story building. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. The Japanese-style futon mattress was thick and extremely comfortable, while the Western-style bed had a good balance of...

The location is convenient, close to the old town and some attraction. However, the hotel is a little old with limited amenities, no washer/dryer, no ironing etc. However, they have shuttle services to the ski park with equipment rental. So it depends on your activities, it’s just not so suitable for me with a very small toddler. - No elevator, you have to carry your luggage to the room from carpark...

The room was spacious and clean. However, there was a lot of noise from the room above, so I think the soundproofing was poor. They also provided a shuttle to the station, which was very convenient.

This is my second stay here, following the New Year's holiday. Even though it's within walking distance of Karuizawa Station, I really appreciate the shuttle service. The room was spacious and clean, and the food was delicious.

There's a long staircase leading from the outdoor area to the lobby; there's no elevator. Staff helped carry our luggage in. The room was huge, and the view from the window was lovely, with trees and pleasant scenery. The room was a bit old and lacked electronic sensors, so staff used a translation device to communicate. Their service was excellent.

A hotel suitable for those who like Showa style

Great! But there aren't enough shuttle buses and the signage isn't clear.

We spent 2 nights in Prince after first 2 nights in Kusatsu onsen town. The hotel looked underwhelming on arrival and the front office service was efficient but cursory compared to the warm hospitality we had in the ryokan stay. It was low season and hotel was very quiet and had a "cold" atmosphere. I was further disappointed when we were shown our room which was on the lowest floor with a simple...

The room was great, clean and hygienic, and the view was beautiful.

The front desk and restaurant staff were all so friendly, beautiful, and stylish (a feast for the eyes). They helped us carry our luggage to our room and explained all the facilities in detail, such as the mini-cart required to use the public pool, the forest sanctuary, and the shuttle bus. We enjoyed watching the Big Dipper at night and the sea of clouds in the morning.

The environment here is absolutely beautiful; you can enjoy stunning views right from your window every morning. It's also very convenient to drive to all the attractions in Karuizawa. The breakfast is exquisite and delicious, and the view from the window is breathtaking. Most importantly, the outdoor hot spring offers panoramic views, making soaking in the hot spring feel like being in a fairyland...

The room was immaculately clean, and the welcoming staff was very friendly. We had a French set menu for dinner, which was delicious! The breakfast buffet offered both Japanese and Western dishes, and the food was delicious and varied! Another fun thing was the short tram ride to the hot spring baths. The water is natural, and it was a delightful experience to soak in the baths while gazing at the...

The room was spacious and the service was excellent. The location was also very convenient. I'm extremely satisfied! 👍

This was a wonderful hotel with really comprehensive service!

When I asked a young man at the front desk to arrange a car to the station, his attitude was cold and he made excuses. Another lady at the front desk quickly arranged it for me instead.

The room terrace during the autumn foliage season is truly dreamlike, beautiful in different ways both at night and during the day! It's worth coming just for the terrace and garden alone! A special highlight was leaving a note on Trip.com hoping for a room on the second floor. I didn't have high hopes it would be seen, but they actually arranged it! The service attitude is excellent. After arriving...

My family and I stayed for two nights. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, which made our trip truly enjoyable.

The hotel felt a bit dated, and the room was rather humid. Upon entering, the air conditioning was set quite high, and it took a considerable amount of time for the room to cool down. However, the service was outstanding. We requested assistance a few times, and every issue was addressed promptly. A special shout-out goes to the breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the seasonal main course: sesame udon...

Free pickup and dropoff are very limited with certain hour for one side. The entertainment area is an advantage plus point! Hotspring all day, which is great Breakfast: 3/5

The location and staff were great, and the breakfast was delicious.

It was a much nicer and more stylish hotel than I expected! Thank you very much for the fun time! (´▽｀)

Everything was great. The room was large and comfortable, the staff were polite, and complimentary coffee and tea were provided. The parking lot was spacious, so there was no need to worry about finding a spot when returning late. The only downside was that I booked a one-night stay with two meals included, but I was disappointed. Dinner: The semi-buffet wasn't a problem, but there was only one main...

The hot spring was nice, and the rooms were clean.

The drink service in the lounge was very much appreciated. The furniture was old and disappointing. The breakfast buffet was Western-style and delicious, but personally I would have preferred rice.

Very nice service and attentive staff.

if you are driving, location is not a concern, otherwise you might need to reconsider. Staff are nice and helpful. I didn't expect there is a bath operating overnight which is very nice to have when you have a long travel day.

This is probably my third time staying here. I've heard that the situation at ryokans is tough these days, but from the lantern at the entrance to the cozy large bath, the heating is excellent, and the sliding screens don't look unfashionable and don't let the heat escape, I always feel the beauty of the Japanese style.

The welcome was excellent. They escorted us out the door upon departure, which was very friendly. Breakfast included watermelon. This is a historic hotel with plenty of books on the first floor. The sofa chairs in the Japanese-style room were very comfortable. The guests were mainly Japanese, with a few European and American guests.

The room was nice and the breakfast and dinner were also very good

Traditional hotel at the end of famous shopping street They provided plubic bath(No onsen) for guest Tatami room is nice , and Breakfast was not so bad. Hotel is in good location to enjoy yoyr stay and workout to sightseeing Karuizawa nearby.

A pleasant stay in Dormy Club Karuizawa. Nice Onsen and great hospitality.

quiet and comfortable environment

It's alright. There was no extra charge for bringing children. The only downside is that there's pick-up and drop-off at the old Karuzu Station, which only runs twice a day, and only once a day in the morning. Driving is the best option. It's also fine for spending two days in this area. The hot springs are very nice. If you don't have a car, you'll have to take a taxi. It's inconvenient.

The room was comfortable and the staff were polite.

very helpful and polite staff, available to check in even at10.

The room was clean and had a private bathroom. The hotel facilities were excellent, the open-air hot spring was very comfortable, and there were complimentary cold drinks. The hotel staff were very helpful and assisted with taking photos. They could also arrange a drop-off service in advance and took me to the Stone Church.

Large Hotel with onsen, a Souvenir / alimentary Shop and a beautiful Garden.

The room was huge with a living room and plenty of space for my youngest to roam around, Staff was polite and explain to us in details during checked in, The onsen (both indoor and outdoor) was modern and relaxing Breakfast had vast varieties of food to choose from The only cons was we were given a room on the far end of the corridor and it did took about 5mins walk from the room to the open bath...

I wanted to visit the Shiraito waterfall and snow in Karuizawa so i thought it's a good chance to stay in a nice resort if it's not so expensive and Lucky I found this property which i think the price was reasonable and my experience from this stay was so enjoyable. The hotel has shuttle service to Karuizawa station or about 15 mins walk. The room was big and in Japanese style super cozy and the balcony...

It is 10 minutes away from Karuizawa Station, very convenient! The hotel is a large hot spring resort club, mostly inhabited by Japanese. Although the breakfast restaurant is small, it is very well arranged, which shows that the service is of high quality! To take a hot spring bath, you need to bring your room card and towel! The temperature is just right, and it’s especially comfortable outside!

Conveniently located, only 10 minutes to the outlet! The environment and facilities are very beautiful! Spacious venue with great views! However, the service still has room for improvement, such as the lack of a send-off service and the lack of towels provided in the spa area.

The hotel facilities are very complete, there is a microwave in the room, the children especially like the tatami and outdoor balcony, where you can see the scenery The hotel also has free hot spring bathing, which is very good There are also many varieties of buffet breakfast in the morning, which is very satisfactory. It is recommended to book a hotel with breakfast.
