Need to have a car to get to this place. Room is good size. Water pressure is weak so be aware.

The owner was very kind! The room was spacious and the bath was private! You can choose your bath, but please note that it is first come, first served until 11pm.

No word can describe the joy of staying here. The owner was lovely and the room is super spacious.

The hotel locates nearby Nikko, the world herritage area, just 4 km. from the hotel. Our room is very big, clean, and good maintained. There are 5-6 private onsen rooms, available and enough for guests. The hotel owner gave us warm welcome and services with very reasonable price. Recommend for the one who wants to stay and travel in Nikko!!

Run by a friendly couple. They even provide transportation to Nikko Station. The white wine and food were delicious. Thank you very much.

Really really great place. Don't be fooled by the lack of photos. The place is nice and homely. They have private onsen as well. And the HOST is WONDERFUL. He is so nice and so friendly. He made us feel so welcome even though we were only staying a day. Loved this stay

Although the facility may have a sloppy feel to it, the rooms were kept clean and the air conditioning worked well and was comfortable. I felt soothed by the location, which is surrounded by nature.

To be honest, the kindness of the owner still remains in my memory. I suddenly decided to stay there during the Obon holiday. The price was reasonable, and I even received a coupon. I was able to stay for just 3,000 yen per night. It may seem like an old-fashioned place, but I wanted to look back on its history (lol).

I stayed here for a school training camp. As expected, it was extremely dirty, but it was fine for a school training camp. The manager was a nice person. They also had a cat, which you could occasionally pet. The room was at the top of a steep staircase, and although the inside was old-fashioned, it was kept clean to the minimum. Nice local onsen hotel! It’s pretty Japan style. It’s not brand new, more over it is old. But they kept the condition and cleanness very well. Hotel stuff don’t speak English well but their politeness and friendly attitude make it no barrier.

A retro 9-room hotel that felt like home. Yummy western-jap breakfast & dinner. They have fixed timings for breakfast & dinner as they need to serve all guests at the same time. You may book the onsen for a one-time private couple use but we felt that the onsen is not as good as those we went in other parts of Japan. We wasn't sure what was the temperature of the water... maybe it wasn't hot enough...

Room has great view of Lake Chuzenji. Clean and Tidy. Dinner is very delicious especially the trout crusted with almond. The owner is very nice and kind.

Excellent, exceeding expectations. The owner was very thoughtful; because of the inconvenient transportation, they would take you to town to buy things when they had time. Breakfast and dinner were also freshly made by hand and were very delicious.

We booked a local Japanese B&B on short notice. The decor was a bit dated, with a British style and an artificial hot spring facility. The owner was very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, it exceeded our expectations.

There weren't many restaurants nearby, so they quickly arranged for dinner and breakfast to be included. I was very satisfied with the delicious food at a reasonable price. The hotel and rooms were also very clean, and the service was courteous, so I would definitely stay here again.

It was a very clean and pleasant inn. I heard there was a large infestation of stink bugs, but they explained this to me in advance and took proper precautions, so it wasn't a big deal.

The room had a great view and was very clean! When I arrived around 1:00, the private bath, table tennis, and karaoke were all available, so I was able to enjoy the whole day in the hotel! I would definitely like to use it again.

The snow scenery was beautiful.

Chain hotel. We've stayed at Itoen hotels several times now. They're all onsen hotels, and the prices are very reasonable. There are fewer foreign tourists and more locals. The buffet quality is on par with the price, and I personally think it's quite good.
