Chuzenji Pension

Nikko, 2482 Chugushi, 321-1661 Nikko, Prefektura Totigi, Yaponiya 🧭

A retro 9-room hotel that felt like home. Yummy western-jap breakfast & dinner. They have fixed timings for breakfast & dinner as they need to serve all guests at the same time. You may book the onsen for a one-time private couple use but we felt that the onsen is not as good as those we went in other parts of Japan. We wasn't sure what was the temperature of the water... maybe it wasn't hot enough...

Room has great view of Lake Chuzenji. Clean and Tidy. Dinner is very delicious especially the trout crusted with almond. The owner is very nice and kind.

Love this small hotel, it's view is facing the lake. Location very near to the bus station . Room is clean bed is traditional bed, quite a big room. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a surprise 6 course fine dinning , breakfast was good too. Love the onsen after our hike . Will definitely recommend to our friends .

The hosts were friendly and the young female assistant was helpful and polite. Location is great, near to the well-known fall and the lake is in front of the residence. Private onsen facilities are great though they are not available in the morning. Foods provided are in Western style and they are good, but not that great. Guests are reminded to tell the hosts on how to cook the steak, especially...

Very straight lady owner. Only give one exact time for breakfast and dinner. No English nor putongha, only Japanese.

We enjoyed very much staying at the pension. It was situated close to the bus station and with beautiful scenery of the lake. The host were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the dinner very much. It was a wonderful experience staying in the pension.

Hotel Yunishigawa

Nikko, 597 Yunishigawa 🧭

There weren't many restaurants nearby, so they quickly arranged for dinner and breakfast to be included. I was very satisfied with the delicious food at a reasonable price. The hotel and rooms were also very clean, and the service was courteous, so I would definitely stay here again.

It was a very clean and pleasant inn. I heard there was a large infestation of stink bugs, but they explained this to me in advance and took proper precautions, so it wasn't a big deal.

The room had a great view and was very clean! When I arrived around 1:00, the private bath, table tennis, and karaoke were all available, so I was able to enjoy the whole day in the hotel! I would definitely like to use it again.

The snow scenery was beautiful.

The hotel is located in a quiet place, in the mountains, reasonable price, large rooms,

price is very reasonable breakfast is highly satisfactory staff is very friendly room is warm and spacious

Itoen Hotel New Sakura

Nikko, 1060 Kinugawaonsen Ohara, 321-2522 Nikko, Prefektura Totigi, Yaponiya 🧭

Chain hotel. We've stayed at Itoen hotels several times now. They're all onsen hotels, and the prices are very reasonable. There are fewer foreign tourists and more locals. The buffet quality is on par with the price, and I personally think it's quite good.

Onsen is excellent . Hotel is valuable. Morning and Dinner is so plenty of food and delicious. But crowdy is limitation.

This property is very affordable and offers a lot for the price it demands. A 5mins walk to the Kinugawa Onsen station. The property is older but has all the amenities you need. There is an indoor onsen and a small outdoor one. Male and female sides don't change. You can also book a free session of private onsen. Breakfast and dinner are both buffets, nothing of high quality but there are a lot of...

Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style. They offer fresh tuna and squid sushi, and during the New Year, traditional Japanese New Year dishes. It's quite good value for money. However, the buffet is limited to 1.5 hours and requires a reservation, so you need to check in early to book your preferred time. From what I've seen on Japanese TV programs, the buffet at Mikazuki, which is within a few...

Room located far away from the onsen. Need to go through a pathway that exposes to rain.

The location is really good. 10 mins away from the station. Easy to find. Big hotel, about 11 floors. The room is quite spacious, part in western style with beds and part in japaneese with tatamis. There is sink in themiddle of the room, quite comfy. Good view to the mountain and forest from the window, 9th floor. Nice yukata to wear, i liked the outerpart. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, quite big...

Nikko Station Hotel Building2

Nikko, Matsubaracho, 17-4, 321-1406 Nikko, Prefektura Totigi, Yaponiya 🧭

The hotel is great and very convenient, just a two or three-minute walk to the JR station. On the first day, I got bitten by mountain leeches while visiting the World Heritage temple complex. Thankfully, the front desk gave me medicine to apply and bandages to stop the bleeding. I'm very grateful for the hotel's help. On the second day, you can walk to Chuzenji Onsen and climb Mount Nantai, which takes...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Nikko Station Hotel. Its location was excellent, just a short 5-minute walk from Nikko Station, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The room was comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful recommendations provided in the lobby, which were helpful for planning my visit. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always willing to assist. One pleasant...

Choosing this hotel for our trip to Nikko was a great decision. The price was perfect for someone on a regular budget. The hotel was clean, and its location near Tobu Nikko Station was fantastic, about 300 meters if you follow the right navigation. My navigation kept changing directions after I got off the train, so I had to ask a local shop owner for directions, and then it was easy to find. Just...

Great location for one night stay near the station. Rooms were small but expected for a hotel right in the city.

Location is excellent. Very near to Tobu Nikko station. Lots of cafes and restaurants around the area. Service of staff is excellent too. The only complain is the room size. Very small

Hope they can extrnd bfast. Bfast not bad u can make your own egg mayo sandwich :) The kitchen staff are very friendly. Room have a nice space for luggage . Will recommend! Very near to Metro station

Yumori Kamaya

Nikko, 2548 Yumoto 🧭

The view from the room was great, the room itself was clean, and the items were well organized, making it a comfortable stay. The large public bath was also clean.

A quaint lodging in the Yumoto onsen area. The facilities were dated but the staff was friendly. Transport could be difficult as there was only one bus. No konbinis or shops in the vicinity so we had our meals at the ryokan.

Although the room is an old Japanese hotel, the price is good and affordable

It was good value for the price, but the portions are small.

My stay here was quite lovely! The people and the staff were so helpful, very polite, and efficient. Check-in was really efficient and smooth. The moment I said my name, the keys to my hotel room were ready. The staff was really helpful in giving me local tips to places I should visit, and they were very patient when I was asking questions despite the language barrier. My hotel room was very basic...
