We used this hotel for a family trip. We had a wonderful time, from the meals to the rooms. Our whole family was very satisfied. Thank you. Regarding the location, I rated it this way because our room was on the mountain side.
The all-inclusive package was the best! 👍
I used it multiple times whenever I wanted.
There were so many food options, I was spoiled for choice, haha.
The sashimi was also fresh and delicious.
Although the rooms are a bit dated, they are spacious and very clean, perfect for families or friends. The breakfast and dinner buffets are both plentiful and delicious, with a wide variety of options to satisfy all age groups.
It would have been nice to have a Zaisu (legless chair) in the room. The food had a great variety and was delicious. The free lounge also offered a good selection, which was a plus. Even though the hotel was old, it was clean.
We were very happy with everything the hotel provided. If there is shuttle bus between the hotel and kinugawaonsen station, it would be perfect for foreign tourists who travel by train and bus.Buffet dinner is wonderful.
The room was nice and clean. The futons are very comfy. Buffet dinner is a must!!!

Location is about 12 mins walk from train station, quite a long walk. Hotel provides shuttle service at 300yen, which requires advance reservation. Dinner and breakfast are buffet style with a good spread. I booked a traditional style room and it has a nice view of the river. I enjoyed the hotel and onsen, very relaxing.
The open-air bath only had two showers, which was inconvenient when it was crowded. For breakfast, there's a DIY rice bowl station where you can add your favorite toppings. They have tuna, other seafood, and even grated yam and other sticky ingredients, so you can easily have multiple bowls in the morning.
It's an old hotel but the room was quite big by Japanese standard, also clean and comfortable. The buffet dinner and breakfast had a good variety of food. But the outdoor bath was disappointing. Another minus point is availability of WiFi in the lobby only and not in the rooms.
It's a 10-minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station, and you can book the hotel's shuttle bus for your return trip to the station the next day after check-out. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, and the hotel isn't far from the iconic Big Staircase. The dinner buffet was plentiful, making this a great value-for-money option in the area.
I think this hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's very cozy and comfortable to stay in. The food is buffet style with a wide variety of choices, and they keep refilling everything constantly, so you don't have to worry about missing out. The hot spring is also huge! I will definitely come back to stay and enjoy it again next time.
Excellent place. A wide variety of options.

It was amazing! They really had everything. The dining room was huge and they gave us 90 minutes. There was a huge variety of delicious food and drinks, including alcohol. There were also several onsen baths, both indoor and outdoor.
It was definitely worth a visit for relaxation.
It was mostly Japanese families; there weren't many foreign tourists, which was nice and peaceful.
Since I was traveling with elderly people, it was difficult to get to meals and the large public bath.
The location of the room was disappointing as it overlooked the station and not the river.
The shoji screens separating the rooms were covered in dust.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
The hotel is large, clean, and the food is delicious. It's perfect for a family vacation.
This is a popular all-inclusive resort! We stayed on a Saturday, but the various play areas and pool facilities were spacious and relaxed, so it didn't feel crowded at all. The dining area was in one place, so there was a problem with the flow of food, so we had to wait in line, but we arrived a little early so we managed. The hot springs were also very nice. There was a mistake in entering the child...
The food was delicious and the hotel ambience so relaxing , we enjoyed our stay, our second time stay that hotel. we difinitely book again..❣️
The buffet had a good selection, but because we stayed on the weekend, there was a line of about 30 people at the buffet entrance, and we had to line up again to get our meals, which was a bit disappointing. The facilities and customer service were impeccable.

This property is very close to “Nikko” in Japan so it’s situated in a very scenic part of the country . I was the only foreigner staying ( at least as far as I could tell ) but that didn’t matter the interactions I had with non English speaking staff were both warm and helpful . In particular a young lady Ms Henmi she was outstanding , she gave me directions on how to best get to my next port of call...
The hotel rate is good value even though it was high season. The room is so big and comfort. There were beds and tatami zone. The view is mountain. It takes 5 minutes walk from train station. They have an onsen. The restaurant food is delicious.
The onsen hotel is near Tobu World Square station. The staff were incredibly helpful. I went to the wrong building, but they walked me to the correct one. I left my backpack there before check-in time, and when I returned in the evening, it was still in my room. The room was very spacious. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The staff even offered to take photos for me. The hotel has...
There were a lot of bugs.
The hot springs were great.
The breakfast buffet was delicious. I especially liked the miso soup, suiton, and yuba. I was glad to be able to eat a lot of vegetables.
A typical onsen hotel provides a good service to customers. Onsen is good with good facilities. A good experience in my trip in Japan.

The hotel is very close to the train station, about a 10-minute walk. Dinner is buffet style. If you have time, I highly recommend visiting Ryuo Gorge, and the hotel's hot spring is also excellent.
Hotel has a nice onsen (indoor and outdoor). Staff are helpful. When requsted for a fruit knife, i am impressed that staff handed to me in a second. Room was spacious and all of us slept so well. Room was totally quiet . No sound from cars, electrical stuff . We drove a rental car there and theres free parking opp the hotel .
Ryokan-style hotel, clean, good location, peaceful, with free onsen access.
The hotel's breakfast and dinner were both excellent, featuring dishes like Tempura ,sashimi, fruit, cakes, and meats traditional Japanese dishes .It would be better if they offered a pick-up service from the train station, which is about a 10-12minute walk away. It’s hard when you pull the luggage and it’s cobblestone road.
Room is spacious. Onsen outdoor one of the side is nicer.
Buffet is not bad. Relaxing!
This hotel is recommended. Great buffets with variety of options (japanese, western, tempura, wagyu). Fruit taste was not as good as we expected though and you might not feel excited much about the food after a couple days as they’re pretty much the same. Wonderful public baht with generous amenities provided. Pajama is not needed if you enjoy wearing yukata and sock when sleeping at night as we did...

It was my first time staying here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was all-inclusive, so I was always full, and table tennis and karaoke were free. The bath had a great view, so I used it three times! I would definitely like to stay here again.
The complimentary alcohol, coffee, soft drinks, and ice cream were excellent. The dinner and breakfast buffets had a wide variety of options, so it was hard to decide what to order, but everything was delicious. I wish we had had a little more time for breakfast. I wanted to eat at a leisurely pace. The curry udon I ate in front of the fireplace for dinner was a real relief. The room was comfortable...
I went for a massage at the hotel. It was the worst massage. She didn't intend to massage, just rubbed and rubbed very lightly. The massage therapist seemed Chinese. She couldn't speak Japanese very well. She could only speak a little, which was hard to understand. And it wasn't a massage. She didn't seem to know how to massage. The massage room was unclean. The pillow that was used to put my face...
There was a decent selection of food, but the quality of each item was not as good as I expected.
The location was a little far from the city center, so it felt inconvenient. I was satisfied with the size and facilities of the room.
The bath was on the top floor, so the view was amazing.
The hotel was clean overall, but the room seemed a little lacking in cleaning...
Also, the floor was a little wobbly when carrying the food with the food cart...
The view from the bath was amazing.
The food was delicious too.

The hotel is beautiful, has a great atmosphere, and excellent service, but it's a bit far and not suitable for those without a car. The food was delicious.
The hotel is old, so it feels worn, but the hot springs and food were really good. I plan to come back again.
There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making it convenient to Yumoto and Lake Chuzenji. The hotel receptionist spoke near-native English, making communication seamless and friendly. The room was spacious, with a large meadow outside the window. At night, I could see many wild deer grazing outside. The food was delicious, and the open-air hot spring was also very nice.
The hotel is in oku nikko which surrounded by nature.
If you love nature or snow in winter. This is a perfect place to stay.
Outside Onsen also surrounded by snow but unfortunately we cannot see the star that day.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. You have several activity right outside of the hotel and can take the bus to do some more.
The room we had was big and comfortable.
It was fully booked when we stayed there but we didn't feel the crowd. Quiet and peaceful, a great place to stay if you are visiting the Oku-nikko area. Easier to access for those who self drive. Great customer service with very modern and clean amenities, price is decent but it is a bit far from the central of Nikko. There are free tea, coffee and instant miso soup available at the communal area/ lobby. The room is very clean, well designed with a nice garden view. I really enjoy my stay there, would recommend to my friends and family.
Lovely hotel. The female receptionist is so kind. It is a little far from the station and main roads, but ok if you have a car. The shower and bed was excellent. Close to the train station, making bus travel convenient. The hotel has a hot spring, and we usually went around 3 PM when it was empty, which was very relaxing. Breakfast is provided, and since we're used to Japanese-style breakfasts, it was perfectly fine for us.
The location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Tobu-Nikko Station and a 1-minute walk opposite Nikko JR Station. It's really easy to get to all the attractions by bus, highly recommended! Plus, there's a hot spring public bath.
Great location, right opposite the station, perfect for dropping off luggage and exploring Nikko. It was also an excellent choice for catching the early morning bus to Akechidaira during the autumn foliage season. The service was excellent, and booking in advance gave us great value for money!
The location is super, it’s opposite JR Nikko and a short walk from Tobu Nikko station. One big plus is the onsen.
The hotel is jaded, you can tell from the light switches but the cleanliness is more or less there. Breakfast spread is sadly lacking.
Convenient place. It’s just a 5min walk from the Tobu Nikko station (the station you would arrive in if you rode over from Asakusa).
It’s a premium stay that has a public bath. In the rooms you have even lotions and face washes and overall the hotel feels very new. The breakfast that comes with the stay is decent. Had vege curry with rice, hard boiled eggs, salad, bread with jam, fresh milk.

I had intended to go for a day trip, but I got tired so I ended up staying overnight at the last minute. I booked this hotel on a whim, but it was a wonderful one. I got a little lost trying to find the place, but once I got there I had a comfortable stay.
I was also very happy that it was close to Kinugawa Station, so I could do some shopping there.
The hotel environment is very good, the food is often rich, and the staff are friendly and service-oriented.
It was hard to find, so I had to search around for it.
For dinner, we had crab, which was great, considering we're in a landlocked prefecture.
The baths were also great, with daytime and nighttime baths.

The hotel has an antique charm, reminiscent of an old luxury hotel, and is quite clean and tidy. The only minor issues were the metal room doors, which caused static electricity in winter, and the lake view being a bit obscured by trees, which was a shame. The Japanese breakfast was incredibly rich and exquisite, definitely worth the extra cost.
Everything was comfortable. The hot springs in particular had the best quality. The food was also delicious. The shuttle bus was convenient, and they would provide additional buses if there were a large group.
Located at the innermost part of Lake Chuzenji, this hotel boasts first-class scenery and environment. It features indoor and outdoor hot springs, and offers complimentary coffee and tea from afternoon to evening. Guests can enjoy tranquility while gazing at the lake. The breakfast environment and food are excellent, and a shuttle bus is available to Nikko Station.
The hotel's location, right in front of Nikko Toshogu Shrine and close to Shinkyo Bridge, is excellent! The free hotel tours offered as a special benefit to guests are also fun, making it worth staying at this classic hotel. The food in the main dining room is both special and memorable.

Excellent hotel! Highly recommend! Everything was great.
Clean hotel with open-air onsen. Breakfast with a great view of the autumn foliage, even spotted monkeys! Enjoyable relaxing stay. Lobby also has free drinking lounge, superb!! 👍🏼😊 Free shuttle service to Tobu-Nikko station.
The room was better than I expected. I heard it's a historic hotel, so it must have been renovated; it looked quite new. I stayed on the first floor, and the open-air bath was so beautiful—you could step right outside!
We used this as a simplified version of our honeymoon.
We were able to relax in a calm atmosphere.
We thought it was a little pricey since we were staying over a long weekend, but we were very satisfied with the quality of the hot spring water.
It was my first time using it and overall it was good, but a little old.

I booked this hotel through Trip.com and the pictures of the room I chose included a spa. I got to the hotel and although the room was big, japanese style, it didn't include the spa. The hot spring was just okay, pretty standard. Cleanliness was a major concern for me; the bed sheets felt quite grimy, possibly due to the high humidity. It's located very close to the Kinu Tateiwa Suspension Bridge.
I woke up just before 6am and when I opened the curtains, the morning sun bathed me in a truly divine view. When I opened the door, I was greeted by the sounds of the river flowing and the birds singing, which was very soothing. I took a walk across the suspension bridge and was greeted by Kinuta standing nearby. Another five minutes' walk...
The facilities are old but well-maintained. I thought it was interesting that you could reserve private baths and various entertainment options. Maybe the walls are thin, but I was surprised to hear conversations from outside or the next room. It's nice that the suspension bridge is just a short walk away. The view was amazing.
We stayed as a family of four.
We were able to use the hotel's facilities, such as the pool and table tennis, for free, and had a great time.

The hotel was very comfortable and well-equipped with amenities such as a buffet, karaoke, and table tennis! It's a lovely hotel and affordable, so I'd love to come back!
The facilities were a little old, but the kids enjoyed playing there. The price is reasonable, so it's a good choice for a family trip with kids.
Honestly, given the low price that provides 2 meals and onsen experiences, I think it is quite good for value, but of course the building is very old and rather broken (although it is still usable). But then, it will take an hour to go to Nikko and the surrounding area isn't interesting to visit, just to stay in this hotel is not a very good option especially if you want to go hiking in Nikko.

The buffet has a wide variety of food, but it seems to be outsourced and pre-made. They've renovated the old facilities, but nothing is wasted and they're environmentally friendly. The water is lukewarm, so I recommend taking a long bath.
The food🍴 was great, the bath was okay,
but there was one unfortunate thing I forgot to mention to the front desk.
There was a large centipede in my room. I don't like killing things,
so I put some insect repellent outside the room.
The breakfast and dinner buffets had a wide variety of options, and the steaks, sashimi, salmon roe, etc. were of high quality and more luxurious than the price would suggest, which was very good.
The hot spring and hotel facilities were very old except for the front desk, and the water pressure in the hot spring showers was extremely weak.
