Location is about 12 mins walk from train station, quite a long walk. Hotel provides shuttle service at 300yen, which requires advance reservation. Dinner and breakfast are buffet style with a good spread. I booked a traditional style room and it has a nice view of the river. I enjoyed the hotel and onsen, very relaxing.

The open-air bath only had two showers, which was inconvenient when it was crowded. For breakfast, there's a DIY rice bowl station where you can add your favorite toppings. They have tuna, other seafood, and even grated yam and other sticky ingredients, so you can easily have multiple bowls in the morning.

It's an old hotel but the room was quite big by Japanese standard, also clean and comfortable. The buffet dinner and breakfast had a good variety of food. But the outdoor bath was disappointing. Another minus point is availability of WiFi in the lobby only and not in the rooms.

It's a 10-minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station, and you can book the hotel's shuttle bus for your return trip to the station the next day after check-out. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, and the hotel isn't far from the iconic Big Staircase. The dinner buffet was plentiful, making this a great value-for-money option in the area.

I think this hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's very cozy and comfortable to stay in. The food is buffet style with a wide variety of choices, and they keep refilling everything constantly, so you don't have to worry about missing out. The hot spring is also huge! The room was better than I expected. I heard it's a historic hotel, so it must have been renovated; it looked quite new. I stayed on the first floor, and the open-air bath was so beautiful—you could step right outside!

We used this as a simplified version of our honeymoon. We were able to relax in a calm atmosphere. We thought it was a little pricey since we were staying over a long weekend, but we were very satisfied with the quality of the hot spring water.

Train station, bus company. Lastly, was very lucky to have found it back. Someone picked up and passed it to the bus driver. In Japan, there's always a chance of finding back lost item. The Japanese-style room overlooking the valley was nice, and the open-air hot spring was great. If you're driving, I recommend visiting Nikko Toshogu Shrine and then staying overnight at Kinugawa Onsen.

I used to shop more than 20 years ago, but I can't compare with now. First of all, the food portions are standard now, the quality is ordinary. The biggest problem is that we haven't checked out and they want to clean up the room. The service is also ordinary, a little better than Hong Kong, and young people should accept it. I used a flat type room. I relaxed with the feeling of being a completely private space. The room bath was nice, but the hot springs for rent were also the best. I didn't pass each other while I was moving to the annex, so I went in smoothly.
