We used this hotel for a family trip. We had a wonderful time, from the meals to the rooms. Our whole family was very satisfied. Thank you. Regarding the location, I rated it this way because our room was on the mountain side.
The all-inclusive package was the best! 👍 I used it multiple times whenever I wanted. There were so many food options, I was spoiled for choice, haha. The sashimi was also fresh and delicious.
Although the rooms are a bit dated, they are spacious and very clean, perfect for families or friends. The breakfast and dinner buffets are both plentiful and delicious, with a wide variety of options to satisfy all age groups.
It would have been nice to have a Zaisu (legless chair) in the room. The food had a great variety and was delicious. The free lounge also offered a good selection, which was a plus. Even though the hotel was old, it was clean.
We were very happy with everything the hotel provided. If there is shuttle bus between the hotel and kinugawaonsen station, it would be perfect for foreign tourists who travel by train and bus.Buffet dinner is wonderful.
The room was nice and clean. The futons are very comfy. Buffet dinner is a must!!!

It was amazing! They really had everything. The dining room was huge and they gave us 90 minutes. There was a huge variety of delicious food and drinks, including alcohol. There were also several onsen baths, both indoor and outdoor. It was definitely worth a visit for relaxation. It was mostly Japanese families; there weren't many foreign tourists, which was nice and peaceful.
Since I was traveling with elderly people, it was difficult to get to meals and the large public bath. The location of the room was disappointing as it overlooked the station and not the river. The shoji screens separating the rooms were covered in dust. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
The hotel is large, clean, and the food is delicious. It's perfect for a family vacation.
This is a popular all-inclusive resort! We stayed on a Saturday, but the various play areas and pool facilities were spacious and relaxed, so it didn't feel crowded at all. The dining area was in one place, so there was a problem with the flow of food, so we had to wait in line, but we arrived a little early so we managed. The hot springs were also very nice. There was a mistake in entering the child...
The food was delicious and the hotel ambience so relaxing , we enjoyed our stay, our second time stay that hotel. we difinitely book again..❣️
The buffet had a good selection, but because we stayed on the weekend, there was a line of about 30 people at the buffet entrance, and we had to line up again to get our meals, which was a bit disappointing. The facilities and customer service were impeccable.

Nikko, Fujihara 1-1 🧭 Map
Location is about 12 mins walk from train station, quite a long walk. Hotel provides shuttle service at 300yen, which requires advance reservation. Dinner and breakfast are buffet style with a good spread. I booked a traditional style room and it has a nice view of the river. I enjoyed the hotel and onsen, very relaxing.
The open-air bath only had two showers, which was inconvenient when it was crowded. For breakfast, there's a DIY rice bowl station where you can add your favorite toppings. They have tuna, other seafood, and even grated yam and other sticky ingredients, so you can easily have multiple bowls in the morning.
It's an old hotel but the room was quite big by Japanese standard, also clean and comfortable. The buffet dinner and breakfast had a good variety of food. But the outdoor bath was disappointing. Another minus point is availability of WiFi in the lobby only and not in the rooms.
It's a 10-minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station, and you can book the hotel's shuttle bus for your return trip to the station the next day after check-out. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, and the hotel isn't far from the iconic Big Staircase. The dinner buffet was plentiful, making this a great value-for-money option in the area.
I think this hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's very cozy and comfortable to stay in. The food is buffet style with a wide variety of choices, and they keep refilling everything constantly, so you don't have to worry about missing out. The hot spring is also huge! I will definitely come back to stay and enjoy it again next time.
Excellent place. A wide variety of options.

The room was very clean and we had a great view of the Kinugawa River! The hotel also had a calming atmosphere, so I'm glad I stayed at this hotel! I'd love to stay here again!
The hotel is in a good location and the hot spring is also very large. However, the parking lot is a bit inconvenient because it is far away and you have to walk more than a kilometer and take the hotel bus! I will come again next time.
great interior, nice view. onsen a old but good cosmetics
The hotel facilities are complete, the hot spring environment is beautiful, and there is also a swimming pool for me to experience, which is enough for me to have a good swim. I feel comfortable physically and mentally after experiencing these two projects! Personally speaking, the dinner service mode suits me very well, the design is very unique, and I come back with a full meal!

This hotel is a century old but incredibly well-maintained! The hot springs are super relaxing and really destress you. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of choices, though you have to pay extra for drinks. The Japanese-style room was a nice experience!
The service was warm and attentive, and the hotel facilities were well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. If you're not driving, be sure to book the shuttle bus. The buffet dinner was definitely a highlight. Personally, I found the tatami somewhat firm.
Good facilities and good food. (very nice buffet)
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and easy to access to the Onsen and dining room. The rooftop open air Onsen was a great spot to enjoy the Onsen. Love the Onsen temperature and the pool were too crowded.
I love the design of the hotel ..delicious buffet dinner and breakfast, and the rooftop onsen so nice ..
Although the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are perfect and the buffet is delicious. The best part is the open-air hot spring on the top floor; soaking in it while it's snowing is an unforgettable experience. There are also two other indoor hot springs, which are perfect.

The view at the hotel was so nice, the room was so clean. and not to mention the service, every staff was super polite, we joined some of the hotel activities and tiff was so kind and professional! highly recommend this hotel!!
This hotel was so magical. It’s nestled in the hills of a beautiful small town. There are nice places to eat nearby and the overall vibe is just so cozy. Japanese breakfast room service was delectable , shout out to Vincent who was so sweet to us and had the best service. He described the food well and it was nice talking to him. The rooms are amazing , I loved the bathtub in the room , I never wanted...
Second time here, this time in icy cold winter, but it's a great time to be here to enjoy the onsen and the tranquil, peaceful surroundings, and check out snow covered kegon falls. The room is spacious and well maintained (upgraded to a suite), and the lake view is amazing. I'm a Marriott loyalist and have had a few suite upgrades, but this might be my favorite in terms of the room layout, view, and...
I am so glad I made my decision to spend one night in the Ritz Carlton instead of one day trip to Nikko. It was my first time staying here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was all-inclusive, so I was always full, and table tennis and karaoke were free. The bath had a great view, so I used it three times! I would definitely like to stay here again.
The complimentary alcohol, coffee, soft drinks, and ice cream were excellent. The dinner and breakfast buffets had a wide variety of options, so it was hard to decide what to order, but everything was delicious. I wish we had had a little more time for breakfast. I wanted to eat at a leisurely pace. The curry udon I ate in front of the fireplace for dinner was a real relief. The room was comfortable...
I went for a massage at the hotel. It was the worst massage. She didn't intend to massage, just rubbed and rubbed very lightly. The massage therapist seemed Chinese. She couldn't speak Japanese very well. She could only speak a little, which was hard to understand. And it wasn't a massage. She didn't seem to know how to massage. The massage room was unclean. There was a decent selection of food, but the quality of each item was not as good as I expected. The location was a little far from the city center, so it felt inconvenient. I was satisfied with the size and facilities of the room. The bath was on the top floor, so the view was amazing.

Great value onsen-ryokan in KinugawaOnsen. The best thing from this ryokan would definitely be the amount of public baths they have. Our family is very satisfied with this itinerary. We like this hotel very much. There is a music performance in the evening. The staff is very polite and the waiter can communicate with us in Cantonese. It is a very personal service.
The hotel staff is very friendly and the facilities are very complete. The Tateiwa Suspension Bridge and the observatory are definitely worth a visit.
Booked 3 nights, no breakfast or dinner so I can't comment on that. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. The exterior of the building seemed a little dated, it was about a 5-10 minute walk from the station and a little out the way up a small hill, no problem if you've rented a car but if you have a large suitcase and are walking it can be tiresome. It was overall good. The hotel is quite old and you can see that in the facilities (some walls a bit old and carpets a bit dirty). The food was average. Not much variety, and a lot of fried stuff. The baths were quite good. Staff were very friendly.
It's located very close to the Kinu Tateiwa Suspension Bridge. I woke up just before 6am and when I opened the curtains, the morning sun bathed me in a truly divine view. When I opened the door, I was greeted by the sounds of the river flowing and the birds singing, which was very soothing. I took a walk across the suspension bridge and was greeted by Kinuta standing nearby. Another five minutes' walk...
The facilities are old but well-maintained. I thought it was interesting that you could reserve private baths and various entertainment options. Maybe the walls are thin, but I was surprised to hear conversations from outside or the next room. It's nice that the suspension bridge is just a short walk away. The view was amazing.
We stayed as a family of four. We were able to use the hotel's facilities, such as the pool and table tennis, for free, and had a great time. A bit aged interior decoration... meals are disappointed... over price..
The service is excellent, all the staff are so nice, and the food is also delicious.
really amazing service especially the onsen the adult food. rooms are a little outdated. It did catch us off guard as it was about 1000 USD for two nights for the 3 kids and their meals were like pasta and fries. I am not sure we would have spend this money staying with kids. Better suited for adults or if money really isn't an issue spending already so much at the hotel.
Nice accommodation, good service, but average food
The breakfast and dinner place is comfortable and rich, the room is large and comfortable. I originally booked a Japanese-style room, but my friend couldn't sleep on the floor and asked to change to a bed room. The staff immediately helped to deal with it. The staff service was very good.

The hotel staffs are friendly and nice. Free alcohol drink from check-in til 10.30pm! The hotel is in the remote area. It might take some time to get there. Overall is great! will visit again!
Considering the price, I felt the quality of the food was not up to par. The breakfast was well thought out and the ingredients were tasty, but dinner was lackluster. The Yonaki noodles at night were tasty, but I thought they were served as cheap Chinese noodles. I visited after the renovation and was curious, but I feel there is still room for improvement.

Close to the train station, making bus travel convenient. The hotel has a hot spring, and we usually went around 3 PM when it was empty, which was very relaxing. Breakfast is provided, and since we're used to Japanese-style breakfasts, it was perfectly fine for us.
The location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Tobu-Nikko Station and a 1-minute walk opposite Nikko JR Station. It's really easy to get to all the attractions by bus, highly recommended! Plus, there's a hot spring public bath.
Great location, right opposite the station, perfect for dropping off luggage and exploring Nikko. It was also an excellent choice for catching the early morning bus to Akechidaira during the autumn foliage season. The service was excellent, and booking in advance gave us great value for money!
The location is super, it’s opposite JR Nikko and a short walk from Tobu Nikko station. One big plus is the onsen. The hotel is jaded, you can tell from the light switches but the cleanliness is more or less there. Breakfast spread is sadly lacking.
Convenient place. It’s just a 5min walk from the Tobu Nikko station (the station you would arrive in if you rode over from Asakusa). It’s a premium stay that has a public bath. It was hard to find, so I had to search around for it. For dinner, we had crab, which was great, considering we're in a landlocked prefecture. Hotel has a nice onsen (indoor and outdoor). Staff are helpful. When requsted for a fruit knife, i am impressed that staff handed to me in a second. Room was spacious and all of us slept so well. Room was totally quiet . No sound from cars, electrical stuff . We drove a rental car there and theres free parking opp the hotel .

Clean hotel with open-air onsen. Breakfast with a great view of the autumn foliage, even spotted monkeys! Enjoyable relaxing stay. Lobby also has free drinking lounge, superb!! 👍🏼😊 Free shuttle service to Tobu-Nikko station.
The room was better than I expected. I heard it's a historic hotel, so it must have been renovated; it looked quite new. I stayed on the first floor, and the open-air bath was so beautiful—you could step right outside!

I have enjoyed outdoor hot spring during a snowy early morning, which I couldn’t forget. It was so fascinating experience. Food was great and surroundings were also very beautiful. I would come back here again next summer or fall.
Website stated Dinner and breakfast will be provided But actually the hotel gave you Coupons to buy dinner box in their shop ! They should tell us the arrangement when we booked the hotel so that we could prepare our dinner before Check In ! Also , the hotel even Not provide Ciffre in the morning
A great stay near Nikko. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the hot spring was very relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The surrounding nature was beautiful and peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience and good value for money.
Decent and reasonably priced. They offered microwavable bento boxes since the restaurant was closed for the winter.
The hotel is quite new, and the room is very spacious. We enjoyed soaking in the hot springs at night and strolling along the Onsen street during the day. It's very close to the Yumoto Onsen Ski Resort, which was great as it was mostly locals skiing there. The only downside is that it's a bit far to get to; you have to take the bus and get off at stop number 45.

A memorable hotel, full of old-world charm, with courteous staff. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. It's a landmark in Nikko, historically the first and most high-standard hotel. The only downside was the set dinner; while presented well, the ingredients and culinary skill weren't up to par, and the main course fish wasn't fresh.
This was a truly lovely hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. Every corner was picturesque. I highly recommend joining the guided tour of the building. The entire hotel is well-heated, so light clothing is perfectly fine. The food was delicious too. My only minor disappointment was the lack of a hot spring or a large public bath.
The hotel is very pretty from outside kindergartenjd the garden is spectacular. My room has been refurnished so it is it isv bea beautiful. Food is good too. Just that the place and my bath tub is quite ancient. Overall , a memorable stay
Beautiful old hotel. The dinner was fabulous- so elegant and wonderfully delicious. The grounds are picturesque Best thing is the location. It is up a steep hill so walking up and down is a challenge for older knees. That being said once down the hill, it is a short walk to the famous Shinkyo Bridge and across the street from the bridge is the Toshogu Shrine complex.
Not only did we receive excellent service during our stay, but their flexibility in accommodating our individual requests truly set them apart from other hotels – it was a world of difference. Highly recommend.
The hotel is perched on a small rise, directly opposite Shinkyo Bridge and the entrance to Toshogu Shrine. The service was excellent. While the hotel has an older feel, it's generally very quiet.
