Nikko, 483 Kinugawa Onsen Taki 🧭 Map
The Japanese-style room overlooking the valley was nice, and the open-air hot spring was great. If you're driving, I recommend visiting Nikko Toshogu Shrine and then staying overnight at Kinugawa Onsen.
I used to shop more than 20 years ago, but I can't compare with now. First of all, the food portions are standard now, the quality is ordinary. The biggest problem is that we haven't checked out and they want to clean up the room. The service is also ordinary, a little better than Hong Kong, and young people should accept it. But compared to before, there is a gap between heaven and earth
An old hot spring hotel with the famous staircase bridge right next door. The rooms are quite traditional Japanese style. The hot springs are divided into inside and outside. The outdoor area is relatively small but the view is great.
Big and spacious room. Had a river view room and the view during autumn was awesome. The staff were fluent in English.
If you want a traditional Japanese onsen experience with traditional Japanese cuisine this is a good place for you
Good service, reasonably priced, awesome view, very polite staff

No hot water in toilet and the airconditioner in room does not have warm air !
The front desk staff were very helpful. They also have a shuttle bus that goes to the Snow Dome Festival. The public bath is very spacious.
Everything is fine and cozy. It's just a little lacking in basic personal care items.
We had a delicious dinner in a private room with a hearth. The large windows offered a beautiful view of the autumn leaves and the river, making it a relaxing and clean place. The staff were also very friendly.
Thank you so much for kindly coming to pick me up even though it was so late and there were no more trains running. I will continue to use your service.
The food is good. And staff is friendly. The room is a bit small.

Good Japanese traditional breakfast. Good onsen in room.
I was a bit worried about the damage to the wallpaper and floor, but other than that it was great. Thank you very much.
Overall it was good but the water pressure in the shower was poor
The customer service was very good. However, the shower in the room was unusable. Also, the toilet wouldn't flush if the water was running somewhere in the room.
This was my first time using this hotel. I was a bit worried because the exterior looked old, but the interior had been renovated and was clean, with the atmosphere of a resort hotel. There was an open-air hot spring bath on the balcony, which I enjoyed.
It was great to have an open-air bath in the room ^_^ The large communal bath had a sauna, and I was impressed with the spectacular view from the open-air bathing space ✨ The buffet was delicious and amazing ♪ I want to go again ^_^

I booked this room at short notice at my wife's request. We wanted to go to the Kamakura Festival at Yunishigawa Onsen, but it overlapped with mealtime, so we watched the festival in the daytime and then headed back to the hotel. The Ichiryukakaku Main Building is just so luxurious. When my wife and I were younger, the Ichiryukakaku Main Building was synonymous with the highest quality hotels. I headed...
My only complaint is that the coffee maker fills the cup to the brim and I can't add milk.
Cleanliness: Japanese hygiene is reliable. Environment: Very nice. Service: First-class. Amenities: All the necessary amenities. Dinner and breakfast are buffets, as are drinks and alcohol, which I found delicious. The hot springs are also good.
While travelers from English-speaking countries often head to places like Atami or Hakone, I highly recommend staying at Ichiryukaku Honkan in Kawaji Onsen at least once. It offers high-quality hot springs at a fraction of the price compared to Atami or Hakone. Though simple, there's a welcome drink service. Reservations can be difficult to secure as availability is first-come, first-served, but guests...
There is an outdoor onsen, delicious dinner, and free parking.
The location of the hotel is just next to the river. The balcony had a very good river view. Front desk staff is very helpful and good manner. This hotel is a little bit historical buildings but everything is ok and clean. There're many extra facilities, such as karaoke rooms, table tennis and children's play room. It's a little far from the station, but there's a bus so it's not too much of a problem! The food was delicious and I was very happy ♪
I had a comfortable stay! I was happy to be able to purchase souvenirs at a low price!
A standard Japanese hot spring hotel
I went to Nikko for a trip and stayed at the Kinugawa Onsen Hotel the night before. It included one dinner and one breakfast, and there was also a natural hot spring ♨️ to use. I took a bus from Kinugawa Onsen Station for 300 yen directly to the main entrance of the hotel. The front desk service was warm, and the dinner and breakfast were also very rich!
Breakfast and dinner are very rich. The staff are very friendly. Remember to book a bus at the hotel.
The name of the hotel is Huaqianxiang, and you need to search for this name on Google Maps. We booked two different suites, both with balconies (equipment platforms), and the river views are good. Hotel is in a quiet and scenic location. Good hot spring bath. Nice gift shop. Clean modern Japanese-style room.
A fantastic experience! We traveled with our elders and two-year-old, and it seemed perfect for a family trip. The food was delicious, both dinner and breakfast, and the staff was excellent! Most importantly, the hotel was very clean and tidy! Highly recommended!
A rather unique hot spring hotel. The room I booked was a Japanese-style room (washitsu), purely tatami room, and there's no bathroom inside – please be aware of this. To bathe, you need to go to a separate, traditional Japanese hot spring bath, separated by gender, where you must be naked and thoroughly washed before entering. Opinions on the experience vary, but the Japanese seem to enjoy it, haha...
The location is great. Lake Yu is absolutely beautiful.
The service and facilities were excellent. The snow on the road in front of the hotel was cleared promptly. The price/performance ratio was very high and I would definitely choose this hotel again.
The hotel is located at the end of Lake Yunoko. The environment is quiet and beautiful, suitable for self-driving. The rooms are neat and clean, there is free parking, breakfast and dinner are rich and delicious, and there are hot springs of both indoor and outdoor sizes. The service was great, but the room had a very strong paint smell. The facilities were quite old. Personally, I think it's really bad for people's health to rent out a room with such a strong paint odor. Breakfast was decent, and the hot spring was pretty average but still nice.
I don’t understand why someone would leave a negative review due to their own negligence. Trip.com clearly mentioned the additional 300-yen tax (I assume this is the onsen tax) per person, yet they still claimed they were “scammed.” My overall experience at Hotel Euro City was wonderful. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the shuttle bus service was amazing. If you want to get to the hotel...
Hotel design is dated. Feels like an old mansion.  Location is walkable from Tobu Nikko station, around 20-25 minutes. Cannot recommend to do this at night. They do have a shuttle bus that runs 3 times a day from/to Tobu Nikko station. Good alternative is a taxi, which costs around 800-900 yen. The private onsen at your own balcony is a plus. The room was clean and the bathroom and toilet were separate (the bath was open-air and the shower was also outside). It was a comfortable stay.
As mentioned in other reviews, both breakfast and dinner were a bit underwhelming. For dinner, I ordered the 100% beef hamburger and Mexican salad. The hotel is located mid-mountain, away from the city center. There are public buses from Nikko Station to Kirifuri Plateau, but they run infrequently. The staff were very attentive, as always in Japan. The breakfast was extraordinary. The only slight drawback was that we stayed Sunday night. The hotel restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings. However, there are plenty of dining options within walking distance, so it wasn't a major issue. On the plus side, we had access to the baths all night.
Comfortable stay but overall the property is a bit old and aged.
The room was clean and tidy, and the service was very enthusiastic. We arrived at the hotel late, and the hot water was already boiled in the room and the air conditioner was turned on, making us feel at home. The dinner was very rich, the Tochigi Wagyu was delicious, but there was no WiFi

A quiet little town, the waitresses were exceptionally kind. The hot springs were very comfortable; I booked two private baths, and everything was perfect except the water was a bit cold. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The explanations were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
It was a nice inn with a Showa-era feel to it. However, there were a lot of stairs, and it was painful to see elderly people struggling with the stairs and the bath. Enjoy this Traditional style onsen hotel. Good service although it is quite a bit of long 3.5 hour drive from Tokyo airport.
Really great place. Even though we had to rent a car just to get to the Hotel, we thing it worth it for 1 night. The place is very charming, you can feel you are staying in a place with a lot of history. But the best part was the service, the guy who attended us during reception, show us the room and explained the dinner was just fantastic. Thank you very much for making us feel welcome!
Absolutely gorgeous place! The diner was nothing like I've experienced before, I'm a picky eater and needed trying and enjoying all the food served, it was amazing.
