I always include an overnight trip to an onsen whenever I’m in Japan so I’ve seen many to compare to. This is a lovely traditional ryokan that has had some discreet modern renovations that really improve the experience. We were here on a Monday so I suspect there may have been very few others staying, which meant we received an unexpected upgrade to our room, which was very kind. The room had clearly...
A very comfortable hotel with attentive service. After taking the Shinkansen to Kaga Onsen Station, the hotel took care of everything else. Located to the left of the station exit, the hotel offers a dedicated shuttle service; simply inform the hotel in advance. Furthermore, they provide pick-up and drop-off services for both outings and returns, a mere 20-minute drive – incredibly convenient. The...
Perfect for a stay and two meals. The hotel's aesthetics are online, the traditional and exquisite interior decoration and the very clean and comfortable private hot spring bath allowed us to have a good rest on the last day of this trip. The Japanese dinner was freshly seasoned and very tasty. I was informed at the last minute that I couldn't eat fish, and I was very considerate enough to change the...
I stayed two nights at Jurakudai with my family. The first and second floors are too wide, and During my stay, I used the private open-air bath as luxuriously as I did at home. That's right. I felt the best care. Also, I was able to get a lot of drinks such as beer in the refrigerator for free, and I was impressed that they were all replenished on the second day! Of course the food is also ◎. However...

The rooms are Japanese-style, and the bathtub is nice. Dinner is good, though served slowly, and has a Michelin-star quality. Breakfast is average. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to Kaga Station (advance reservations are required). If you're visiting Kanazawa, it's worth a trip.
Huazi is about a 25-minute drive from Kaga Onsen Station. The hotel will send an email to inquire about the arrival time and provide free pick-up. My last hotel was Jixiangting, which is a 5-minute walk away. I wandered around Yamanaka Onsen from the time I checked out at 11am to the time I checked in at 2pm. April 6th was the season when cherry blossoms and camellias were in full bloom, so there were...
Luxury and indulgence What an amazing place. Beautiful, with the most attention to detail in every way. Giving it ten stars doesn’t do it justice.
Beautiful Ryokan and surrounding
We had a 4 day fantastic experience.
It's OK in every aspect, but the food is not the best, just average. And my contract specifications are very high, but on the first floor, the air is not cool

During our 2 night-stay, the breakfasts N dinners were awesome, mouth watering & flavorful! Best meals on our 12-day trip in Japan. The shuttle bus service was a great help. Every service personnel we interacted with during our stay were warm N hospitable! Their smiles and greetings made us felt welcome.
This is the timetable for the hotel's free shuttle bus
The building may be old, but the staff were all kind and warmly welcomed us. All the food was delicious!! Fireworks were set off every day in August on the lake in front of the hotel, and a festival was also held near the hotel, so it was great to experience the festival atmosphere!! Thank you very much. I'd like to come again.
I stayed here while sightseeing in Kanazawa. I took the local bus from Kaga Onsen Station to get there, and the shuttle bus to get back. The shuttle bus runs three times a day. The room had a great view of Lake Shibayama. I was also able to relax in the large public bath.
I always love the hotel with ryokan room, amazing!
Nice place with good onsen and a very cosy tatami room!

Excellent onsen hotel in quiet yet popular location .. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Taiku drums nightly show was fun and great draw for families with kids. We stayed on a very busy weekend and hotel’s breakfast and dinner were fully booked. NTL the hotels casual restaurant was very good, menu and price wise; also excellent location to see the drum show . Easy walking distance (5-10 minutes) to...
The service staff were very friendly.
The hotel is a bit remote and the facilities are a bit old. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Gusoyu (one of the attractions), and all the nearby shops are open after 5 pm, so if you arrive before 3 pm, it is very inconvenient to go out and find food! However, the hotel's hot spring facilities are great, with indoor and outdoor free 24-hour use, and an outdoor foot bath. The kaiseki cuisine in the evening...
The room is big enough and clean
I took my mother, who has trouble walking, with me, and they provided a wheelchair for her, and a Japanese-Western style room for her, who has trouble getting out of bed, which was very helpful. Of course, the hot springs were also very pleasant, and my mother was very happy with them.
This Japanese-style hot spring hotel has complete facilities and the lobby is decorated in a very luxurious style. We arrived early and enjoyed the free afternoon tea and foot bath first. When we checked in at 3 o'clock, a waiter in kimono guided us to the door of the room, which was very considerate. After taking a bath, we had dinner on the 2nd floor of the hotel as scheduled. Dinner is a standard...

This hotel truly deserves its five-star rating. It's excellent. Although it's a bit far from the station, they offer a shuttle service, which is great.
The rooms are clean and the hot spring facilities are varied. The staff were friendly and helpful, even recommending nearby restaurants. You can also use the sister hot spring, Ruriko.
I really loved this hotel; unfortunately, I only stayed one night, but it was totally worth it! I'd love to come back again.
The room was clean, but it was a shame there wasn't a dinner-inclusive plan for solo travelers (or maybe I just couldn't find one?). Generally, I think the service is good, but I did notice some of the staff (waitresses?) chatting in the entrance while waiting for guests. I thought it might be better for them to wait in the back-of-house instead.
Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back. Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible...
This is a traditional Japanese hotel with an excellent location and good service. The public bath is open 24 hours, and the rooms are large and comfortable, though the facilities are a bit dated. Overall, it offers great value for money. The WiFi doesn't reach all rooms, and there's no signal at all on the fourth floor, which needs improvement.

Quaint place with great amenities close to the main road
The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the station. They also provide luggage storage and a shuttle to Yunokuni no Mori the next day, which is very convenient. The hotel itself is spacious and clean, and the bed in my room was very comfortable. They also offer various free experiences. The only minor downsides were that it's a bit of a walk to Ko-so-yu, and unfortunately, the room type I booked...
My family of seven stayed here at the end of the year. The facilities were great, so we were able to enjoy ourselves without having to go out after checking in. I'm glad my family was satisfied!
The hotel offers many self-service options, such as hot spring eggs, steamed buns, and snacks. The hot spring water is all sourced from natural springs, which is very relaxing. There's a shuttle service from the station, making transportation convenient. There's a Lawson convenience store nearby. Overall, it's a good hotel.
Generally speaking, all aspects of the old hotels are online, and there may be more people when there are groups.
I was randomly assigned a corner room on a high floor. The room was spacious enough, and the hotel was generally clean, with well-maintained facilities. The staff was attentive and patient. The public hot springs, both indoors and outdoors, were not crowded, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel provided complimentary drinks and snacks. The hotel restaurant does not serve dinner or breakfast unless reserved...

This onsen hotel is very traditional, that’s what we wanted. The service is excellent and warm. Dinner and breakfast are really with regional ingredients.
Good place to recharge in between trips
A great hot spring hotel with one night and two meals. The service is great. The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast are delicious and tasty. I definitely recommend it! The room is very spacious and the private bath gives you the freedom to bathe whenever you want. It's great!
The room was super big love the private bath, the hotel staff was very nice. Both meals were awesome.
Almost everything was in tip top condition including our requests for a vegetarian dunner and breakfast for one of our friends. Perhaps a hostess more fluent in english would have been helpful but anyway she was most gracious, attentive and courteous. The amenities, food and service were really great!
Very very satisfied, the autumn scenery is beautiful, and the open-air hot spring in the room is amazing. Breakfast and dinner are super rich. Because of my eating habits, the hotel helped to modify the menu. Thank you very much! It is recommended to inform the hotel in advance when booking. The hotel can only be contacted by phone, which is a little inconvenient, but I still successfully booked the...

Very good service with lots of entertainment options. Staff are friendly and the onsen is good.
Very nice and quiet, the onsen was so good with very peaceful scenes. The food and services were up to standard as expected.
The quality of the service was excellent. I was also surprised that they provided a shuttle service to the nearby station and even took me to Komatsu Airport. I felt bad that I was there alone. The pancakes were delicious, and the food and bath were both great. I would definitely like to come back in the fall when the leaves change color.
It's a great hotel with good facilities and delicious food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd love to go back.
A nice journey of relaxation, the hot spring and meals are great.

Wonderful place. Greeted as we drove up, valet parking. Room was so nice and clean. Everybody was amazing and it was all perfect.
The food and bath were perfect, but the water in the bathroom in my room didn't drain well, so the front desk staff fixed it first. They dealt with it right away, but I wish they had checked beforehand. It was a very unpleasant experience. Also, I got a cheap plan, so it can't be helped, but there was noticeable black mold on the bathroom floor, and the mat in front of the toilet was noticeably frayed...
While the building's exterior exudes a sense of history, the interior has been renovated. Upon arrival, several staff members helped us with everything from car transfers to luggage handling. They were so enthusiastic and provided full service that we were almost in awe. We stayed in a Type C room with a semi-open-air bath, which was very modern and clean. We had learned in advance that Type C was...
The food and hot springs were very good. Thank you very much.
This was my first visit in four years. I stayed with the in-room dining plan. The room had been renovated the last time, but this time I was surprised to see that the baths had been renovated! A very nice sauna had been installed in the large baths on both the first and third floors, and there was even a relaxation space next to the cold bath. I was very satisfied with the food, the baths, and the...
I booked a room with an open-air bath and requested a shuttle from Kaga Onsen Station. Once I got off the station, there was a roof over my shoulder all the way to the shuttle bus stop, so I didn't need an umbrella. The open-air bath in the room was a very relaxing hot spring. The portions were large, but the simmered head of fish was well-seasoned, and my children ate everything. I also used the large...

You absolutely must book a shuttle bus to the hotel in advance (Ctrip doesn't offer customer service); you have to call and book it yourself. Otherwise, you'll have to take a bus from Kaga Onsen Station to the town and then call a taxi. To return to the JR station, you can book the 9, 10, or 11 am bus in advance. Once everyone is there, the driver will depart early, allowing you to catch the Shinkansen...
Helpful staff, a lovely room, excellent food and beautiful surroundings made our stay a highlight of our visit to Japan. Highly recommended for people who enjoy stays in quieter villages. We will return.
The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Kaga Onsen Station, a 20-minute ride away. Pick-up times are between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and drop-off times are between 9:00 AM and 12:00 AM (I might be mistaken). It runs every hour, and you can ask Ctrip customer service for reservations. This is the hotel I chose after much deliberation. It has its own private bath in each room, as well as four free private...
Room spacious with luscious view of the valley, enjoyed facilities such as grilling own dango and senbei as well as private onsen. However, cleanliness could be improved as dust can be seen on siding door tracks within the room and hair dryer was not the best with loose folding handle. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay, some staffs were very attentive and helpful at front desk and at dining (though...
I was participating in the Kagaspa UTM race in Japan and booked this hotel. It's a ten-minute walk from the starting point and another ten minutes from Yamanakaza Street. It's a quiet escape from the bustle. The room faces a stream and mountains, with the green hills surrounding the stream and casting shadows, a truly beautiful sight. The hotel was also very clean. Dinner was a semi-buffet and quite...
I was very pleased with my recent stay at a hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a modern decor that made me feel relaxed. The friendly staff were always willing to help and made me feel welcome. The hotel restaurant had a wide selection of breakfasts, which were fresh and tasty, adding a lot of energy to the start of the day. The location is convenient, and there are many attractions...

I stayed with four female friends. The room was very spacious and we were able to relax. The public bath had about five showers, but only about three of them were usable due to weak water pressure or stiff plugs. There was also a bathtub in the room, which was appreciated by women. We stayed for two nights, but when we returned to our room on the second night, we found that it hadn't been cleaned or...
Delicious dinner, wonderful room. However, receptionists are unable to speak english, make communication a bit challenging.
I am traveling by car this time (staying at hotels in Kanazawa, Tojinbo, and Tsuruga), and I don't have any idea about transportation (the hotel has a special car to pick up from Kaga Station). Wendian is very well maintained. It is a Japanese national tourist hot spring franchise hotel. The hot spring water is good and authentic. There is a public bath (hot spring water) and three private baths. You...
The hotel is a bit old... but the service is still very good! Accommodation can be reserved: open-air private hot spring bath, cypress hot spring, hidden hot spring, a total of 4 time periods from 6 to 9 am. There is a shuttle bus to Kaga Onsen, so you must make a reservation in advance. This time I booked a hotel room and two meals, which was pretty good...
There are public hot springs with separate baths for men and women. There are also open-air baths that can be used privately and can be used for free for 50 minutes, which is very good. There are four tatami mats in one room. Our family of four slept on the tatami mats together. It was very happy and warm.
The food was delicious and the room was spacious and nice. It's far from the main street, so it was a bit tiring to walk after drinking I arrived at the hotel early, so I was glad that I was able to reserve a private bath in the morning. I was able to enjoy my coffee in the lobby after breakfast, so I had a relaxing time.
