Although the location is a bit remote, the bathroom and toilet in the room have no heating and are very cold. However, breakfast and dinner are extremely rich. And the hot spring view on the rooftop on the 13th floor is worth the price of admission.
The room, bath, and food were all very nice, but after taking a bath I put the towel in the used basket, so when I asked the front desk if I could get a towel back they said there would be a charge for it.
If that was the case, I wish they had told me when I checked in that there would be an extra charge for the second towel.
That was disappointing.
Other than that it was good.
There is no place for a family of three to stay in Fukui City, so we made a reservation here. There are almost no shopping areas around, and convenience stores are far away. A rental car is a must.
I'm glad I was able to get a spacious room! There was a wide variety of menu items to choose from, and drinks and fruit were also available, so I was very satisfied.
Rooms are very old and lived down, even the variety of food for dinner and breakfast was large, nothing was really good. Only yuzu hotpot at table stuck out positively. Bath was OK, rooftop bath very good. Als free beer and highball after bath was nice. As the stay was cheap, you get what you pay for, so price quality, ratio was ok
Free shuttle bus from Kagaonsen Station. I live in Suite- Japanese- Style room, what a really big room space almost no problem for 10 people although it’s aged.
For the other service, large bathing spot is good and Karaoke have English Chinese song to play. The buffet is fancy, while 2,200 yen for all alcohol you can drink.

Quaint place with great amenities close to the main road
The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the station. They also provide luggage storage and a shuttle to Yunokuni no Mori the next day, which is very convenient. The hotel itself is spacious and clean, and the bed in my room was very comfortable. They also offer various free experiences. The only minor downsides were that it's a bit of a walk to Ko-so-yu, and unfortunately, the room type I booked...
My family of seven stayed here at the end of the year.
The facilities were great, so we were able to enjoy ourselves without having to go out after checking in. I'm glad my family was satisfied!
The hotel offers many self-service options, such as hot spring eggs, steamed buns, and snacks.
The hot spring water is all sourced from natural springs, which is very relaxing.
There's a shuttle service from the station, making transportation convenient.
There's a Lawson convenience store nearby.
Overall, it's a good hotel.
Generally speaking, all aspects of the old hotels are online, and there may be more people when there are groups.
I was randomly assigned a corner room on a high floor. The room was spacious enough, and the hotel was generally clean, with well-maintained facilities. The staff was attentive and patient. The public hot springs, both indoors and outdoors, were not crowded, quiet, and comfortable.
The hotel provided complimentary drinks and snacks.
The hotel restaurant does not serve dinner or breakfast unless reserved...

This hotel truly deserves its five-star rating. It's excellent. Although it's a bit far from the station, they offer a shuttle service, which is great.
The rooms are clean and the hot spring facilities are varied.
The staff were friendly and helpful, even recommending nearby restaurants.
You can also use the sister hot spring, Ruriko.
I really loved this hotel; unfortunately, I only stayed one night, but it was totally worth it! I'd love to come back again.
The room was clean, but it was a shame there wasn't a dinner-inclusive plan for solo travelers (or maybe I just couldn't find one?). Generally, I think the service is good, but I did notice some of the staff (waitresses?) chatting in the entrance while waiting for guests. I thought it might be better for them to wait in the back-of-house instead.
Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back.
Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible...
This is a traditional Japanese hotel with an excellent location and good service. The public bath is open 24 hours, and the rooms are large and comfortable, though the facilities are a bit dated. Overall, it offers great value for money. The WiFi doesn't reach all rooms, and there's no signal at all on the fourth floor, which needs improvement.

We enjoyed the amenities so much. The breakfast buffet is also delicous.😊
Big hotel with onsen and warm water swimming pool. Bed is comfortable. Yet breakfast variety sounds disappointing.
It’s in the middle of nowhere. Though it has been expected, but when we arrived, it is indeed
Not near anything. The hotel provides shuttle service from the Kaga Onsen station.
Very nice big hotel with swimming pool and sauna.
Also Jap Onsen .Room is very big compare to Jap standard.Food just ok not the best.
The refrigerator is not cooling well
The service was enthusiastic. Suitable for hot spring vacation. Rich breakfast

Excellent onsen hotel in quiet yet popular location .. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Taiku drums nightly show was fun and great draw for families with kids. We stayed on a very busy weekend and hotel’s breakfast and dinner were fully booked. NTL the hotels casual restaurant was very good, menu and price wise; also excellent location to see the drum show . Easy walking distance (5-10 minutes) to...
The service staff were very friendly.
The hotel is a bit remote and the facilities are a bit old. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Gusoyu (one of the attractions), and all the nearby shops are open after 5 pm, so if you arrive before 3 pm, it is very inconvenient to go out and find food! However, the hotel's hot spring facilities are great, with indoor and outdoor free 24-hour use, and an outdoor foot bath. The kaiseki cuisine in the evening...
The room is big enough and clean
I took my mother, who has trouble walking, with me, and they provided a wheelchair for her, and a Japanese-Western style room for her, who has trouble getting out of bed, which was very helpful.
Of course, the hot springs were also very pleasant, and my mother was very happy with them.
This Japanese-style hot spring hotel has complete facilities and the lobby is decorated in a very luxurious style. We arrived early and enjoyed the free afternoon tea and foot bath first. When we checked in at 3 o'clock, a waiter in kimono guided us to the door of the room, which was very considerate. After taking a bath, we had dinner on the 2nd floor of the hotel as scheduled. Dinner is a standard...

Very good service with lots of entertainment options. Staff are friendly and the onsen is good.
Very nice and quiet, the onsen was so good with very peaceful scenes. The food and services were up to standard as expected.
The quality of the service was excellent.
I was also surprised that they provided a shuttle service to the nearby station and even took me to Komatsu Airport. I felt bad that I was there alone.
The pancakes were delicious, and the food and bath were both great. I would definitely like to come back in the fall when the leaves change color.
It's a great hotel with good facilities and delicious food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd love to go back.
A nice journey of relaxation, the hot spring and meals are great.

Very beautiful onsen hotspring hotel with good service. The hotel surrounded by mountains and small river. Very calm and quiet, it will release stress from daily city life.
This beautifully maintained hotel is a true hidden gem. Its stunning riverside onsen offers the perfect blend of relaxation and nature, letting you unwind while listening to the gentle flow of the river. Every moment here reflects the warmth and elegance of genuine Japanese hospitality—attentive service, thoughtful details, and a serene atmosphere that makes you feel completely at home. If you’re looking...
The room was old and run-down, and there were too many small animals. The "hot spring water" in the room seemed to be just boiled regular water; it didn't taste like hot spring water at all. The breakfast was unpalatable and extremely salty. I won't go back. 👎
The cost performance was great 😀
Although it was a short notice reservation, they were happy to accommodate.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The Japanese-style room was relaxing. The bath was also clean and relaxing. The open-air bath along the mountain stream requires you to descend quite a few steps along the slope, then climb back up after bathing, making it a good workout.
It's a great place to go and have something to...
The onsen is uniquely situated right by a stream, which made the onsen experience very enjoyable and interesting. However, since it hasn't been updated or renovated, guests have to climb 71 uneven rocks down and up in slippers, I do not recommend for people without strong legs or vision. Also, the outdoor spa is the only onsen in Japan that does NOT provide in-spa shower facilities. The slippers are...

I stayed with four female friends. The room was very spacious and we were able to relax. The public bath had about five showers, but only about three of them were usable due to weak water pressure or stiff plugs. There was also a bathtub in the room, which was appreciated by women. We stayed for two nights, but when we returned to our room on the second night, we found that it hadn't been cleaned or...
Delicious dinner, wonderful room. However, receptionists are unable to speak english, make communication a bit challenging.
I am traveling by car this time (staying at hotels in Kanazawa, Tojinbo, and Tsuruga), and I don't have any idea about transportation (the hotel has a special car to pick up from Kaga Station). Wendian is very well maintained. It is a Japanese national tourist hot spring franchise hotel. The hot spring water is good and authentic. There is a public bath (hot spring water) and three private baths. You...
The hotel is a bit old... but the service is still very good!
Accommodation can be reserved: open-air private hot spring bath, cypress hot spring, hidden hot spring, a total of 4 time periods from 6 to 9 am.
There is a shuttle bus to Kaga Onsen, so you must make a reservation in advance.
This time I booked a hotel room and two meals, which was pretty good...
There are public hot springs with separate baths for men and women. There are also open-air baths that can be used privately and can be used for free for 50 minutes, which is very good. There are four tatami mats in one room. Our family of four slept on the tatami mats together. It was very happy and warm.
The food was delicious and the room was spacious and nice.
It's far from the main street, so it was a bit tiring to walk after drinking
I arrived at the hotel early, so I was glad that I was able to reserve a private bath in the morning.
I was able to enjoy my coffee in the lobby after breakfast, so I had a relaxing time.

The rooms are Japanese-style, and the bathtub is nice. Dinner is good, though served slowly, and has a Michelin-star quality. Breakfast is average. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to Kaga Station (advance reservations are required). If you're visiting Kanazawa, it's worth a trip.
Huazi is about a 25-minute drive from Kaga Onsen Station. The hotel will send an email to inquire about the arrival time and provide free pick-up. My last hotel was Jixiangting, which is a 5-minute walk away. I wandered around Yamanaka Onsen from the time I checked out at 11am to the time I checked in at 2pm. April 6th was the season when cherry blossoms and camellias were in full bloom, so there were...
Luxury and indulgence
What an amazing place. Beautiful, with the most attention to detail in every way. Giving it ten stars doesn’t do it justice.
Beautiful Ryokan and surrounding
We had a 4 day fantastic experience.
It's OK in every aspect, but the food is not the best, just average. And my contract specifications are very high, but on the first floor, the air is not cool

Great hotel facing the lake. Clean and comfortable room with nice spa.
Service and Environment: The Warmth of Japanese Hospitality
From the moment you arrive at Kaga Onsen Station, you'll feel the hotel's attentiveness—staff are waiting on time with signs, proactively taking your luggage; the shuttle bus is clean and comfortable; and even in the short journey, gentle Japanese and smiles convey the warmth of "Omotenashi" (Japanese hospitality).

The staff here are incredibly lovely. The whole experience was first class. Thank you so much!
The surrounding scenery is very nice.
Not only the hostess, but also the staff are very friendly.
The food is also the best.
If you want to feel the Japanese atmosphere, I highly recommend it.
Very good, satisfied with the stay
About an hour from Kanazawa. An inn that feels like an infinity, with so many amenities that I'm so happy. Yukata rental to choose from, tote bag in the room. I had to wrap my clothes in a towel to get back to my room before going to the public bath, but I was grateful for the attention to detail in the non-combustible tote bag. A slightly larger shampoo face wash foam. Sample type lotion emulsion...

This onsen hotel is very traditional, that’s what we wanted. The service is excellent and warm. Dinner and breakfast are really with regional ingredients.
Good place to recharge in between trips
A great hot spring hotel with one night and two meals. The service is great. The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast are delicious and tasty. I definitely recommend it!
The room is very spacious and the private bath gives you the freedom to bathe whenever you want. It's great!
The room was super big love the private bath, the hotel staff was very nice. Both meals were awesome.
Almost everything was in tip top condition including our requests for a vegetarian dunner and breakfast for one of our friends. Perhaps a hostess more fluent in english would have been helpful but anyway she was most gracious, attentive and courteous.
The amenities, food and service were really great!
Very very satisfied, the autumn scenery is beautiful, and the open-air hot spring in the room is amazing. Breakfast and dinner are super rich. Because of my eating habits, the hotel helped to modify the menu. Thank you very much! It is recommended to inform the hotel in advance when booking.

You absolutely must book a shuttle bus to the hotel in advance (Ctrip doesn't offer customer service); you have to call and book it yourself. Otherwise, you'll have to take a bus from Kaga Onsen Station to the town and then call a taxi. To return to the JR station, you can book the 9, 10, or 11 am bus in advance. Once everyone is there, the driver will depart early, allowing you to catch the Shinkansen...
Helpful staff, a lovely room, excellent food and beautiful surroundings made our stay a highlight of our visit to Japan. Highly recommended for people who enjoy stays in quieter villages. We will return.
The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Kaga Onsen Station, a 20-minute ride away. Pick-up times are between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and drop-off times are between 9:00 AM and 12:00 AM (I might be mistaken). It runs every hour, and you can ask Ctrip customer service for reservations.

Room spacious with luscious view of the valley, enjoyed facilities such as grilling own dango and senbei as well as private onsen. However, cleanliness could be improved as dust can be seen on siding door tracks within the room and hair dryer was not the best with loose folding handle.

I was participating in the Kagaspa UTM race in Japan and booked this hotel. It's a ten-minute walk from the starting point and another ten minutes from Yamanakaza Street.
