Excellent onsen hotel in quiet yet popular location .. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Taiku drums nightly show was fun and great draw for families with kids. We stayed on a very busy weekend and hotel’s breakfast and dinner were fully booked. NTL the hotels casual restaurant was very good, menu and price wise; also excellent location to see the drum show . Easy walking distance (5-10 minutes) to...
The service staff were very friendly.
The hotel is a bit remote and the facilities are a bit old. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Gusoyu (one of the attractions), and all the nearby shops are open after 5 pm, so if you arrive before 3 pm, it is very inconvenient to go out and find food! However, the hotel's hot spring facilities are great, with indoor and outdoor free 24-hour use, and an outdoor foot bath. The kaiseki cuisine in the evening...
The room is big enough and clean
I took my mother, who has trouble walking, with me, and they provided a wheelchair for her, and a Japanese-Western style room for her, who has trouble getting out of bed, which was very helpful.
Of course, the hot springs were also very pleasant, and my mother was very happy with them.
This Japanese-style hot spring hotel has complete facilities and the lobby is decorated in a very luxurious style. We arrived early and enjoyed the free afternoon tea and foot bath first. When we checked in at 3 o'clock, a waiter in kimono guided us to the door of the room, which was very considerate. After taking a bath, we had dinner on the 2nd floor of the hotel as scheduled. Dinner is a standard...

Quaint place with great amenities close to the main road
The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the station. They also provide luggage storage and a shuttle to Yunokuni no Mori the next day, which is very convenient. The hotel itself is spacious and clean, and the bed in my room was very comfortable. They also offer various free experiences. The only minor downsides were that it's a bit of a walk to Ko-so-yu, and unfortunately, the room type I booked...
My family of seven stayed here at the end of the year.
The facilities were great, so we were able to enjoy ourselves without having to go out after checking in. I'm glad my family was satisfied!
The hotel offers many self-service options, such as hot spring eggs, steamed buns, and snacks.
The hot spring water is all sourced from natural springs, which is very relaxing.
There's a shuttle service from the station, making transportation convenient.
There's a Lawson convenience store nearby.
Overall, it's a good hotel.
Generally speaking, all aspects of the old hotels are online, and there may be more people when there are groups.
I was randomly assigned a corner room on a high floor. The room was spacious enough, and the hotel was generally clean, with well-maintained facilities. The staff was attentive and patient. The public hot springs, both indoors and outdoors, were not crowded, quiet, and comfortable.
The hotel provided complimentary drinks and snacks.
The hotel restaurant does not serve dinner or breakfast unless reserved...

In front of Daishoji station
No idea why people stay at this station though
Anyways, no shops or cafes nearby

The breakfast is akso typical APA standards which is not recommended but since there is no cafes or restaurants open in the morning, might need to gave breakfast at...
Location is right by daishoji station. Room is rather small but also expected of a business hotel chain. The bed makes up for it, as it’s really comfy, ok for one to spend a night at.
The room is quite small, but there is a large public bath, so it is suitable for business travelers. There are few restaurants near the station, so it is better to eat there before checking in.
breakfast needs milk milk milk
scrambled eggs need to be thicker
then 5 stars would be much easier to get
Really friendly staff, helped us out a lot. This hotel is right next to the station, so the access is good.
Average APA branch. The location is right at the exit of the train station. You can tell the ages but still works for the low room rate.

We wanted an authentic Japanese experience during our first trip to Japan and found Yamashiro Onsen, Miyabi no Yado. From the moment of collection at the station the staff go out of their way to make you feel special. We were the only westerners during our stay which we loved. Yakutas, informal kimono are provided for wearing around the hotel and almost everyone wears one. We booked the included...
This hotel met or exceeded every expectation my lovely wife and I had. For our first trip to Japan we wanted to have a true set Japanese meal totally immersed in the culture and this delivered. We didn’t opt for the traditional Japanese style room as was out of our budget but our ‘western’ room was huge, clean, well equipped and even had traditional yakuta for us to wear to dinner and we did! Dinner...
They upgraded our room, which was spacious and allowed us to relax comfortably. The hot spring bath was also very pleasant and relaxing. It was wonderful to hear the taiko drum performance at night. Of course, we were also satisfied with dinner and breakfast. We would like to go again as a couple next time.
All the staff were very kind.
Children enjoyed the evening fairs and magic shows.
The food was also very delicious.
thank you very much.
The smiling faces of all staff members, including the reception staff, were very nice.
Also, even though it's a large inn, it was very clean and I had a comfortable stay.
It was a three-person trip with my wife and my wife's grandmother-in-law, and we were very satisfied.
The timing was perfect, and there were events such as a bingo tournament, and I received vegetable juice as a prize!
Next time...
This is a famous inn that inherits Hotel Hyakumangoku. The view from the famous garden is good, the hot springs are pleasant, the food is delicious, and the staff is very responsive.

Hotel staff were great and super helpful. Rooms are large and very clean. The location is very good and next to trail walk and river. Food is buffet style and good. Definitely recommended.
The hotel is newly renovated with good service and facilities. Good Onsen , good buffet with a lot of varieties. I have no second thought to recommend any visitors to stay in this hotel.
Very excellent stay in this hotel. Everything is perfect. Meal, room size, staff and price. My wife asks me to take her here next year. Good!
Poor catering, hotel did not disclose dinner would be a buffet. We were expecting traditional dinner
Great hotel. Newly refurbished. Dinner and breakfast buffet is superb!
Nice and Comfortable Hotel
Onsen facilities are well setup.

Although the location is a bit remote, the bathroom and toilet in the room have no heating and are very cold. However, breakfast and dinner are extremely rich. And the hot spring view on the rooftop on the 13th floor is worth the price of admission.
The room, bath, and food were all very nice, but after taking a bath I put the towel in the used basket, so when I asked the front desk if I could get a towel back they said there would be a charge for it.
If that was the case, I wish they had told me when I checked in that there would be an extra charge for the second towel.
That was disappointing.
Other than that it was good.
There is no place for a family of three to stay in Fukui City, so we made a reservation here. There are almost no shopping areas around, and convenience stores are far away. A rental car is a must.
I'm glad I was able to get a spacious room! There was a wide variety of menu items to choose from, and drinks and fruit were also available, so I was very satisfied.
Rooms are very old and lived down, even the variety of food for dinner and breakfast was large, nothing was really good. Only yuzu hotpot at table stuck out positively. Bath was OK, rooftop bath very good. Als free beer and highball after bath was nice. As the stay was cheap, you get what you pay for, so price quality, ratio was ok
Free shuttle bus from Kagaonsen Station. I live in Suite- Japanese- Style room, what a really big room space almost no problem for 10 people although it’s aged.
For the other service, large bathing spot is good and Karaoke have English Chinese song to play. The buffet is fancy, while 2,200 yen for all alcohol you can drink.

Every year, I visit various Oedo Onsen hot springs.
Because it was raining, I couldn't do any sightseeing, so I came here looking forward to the buffet.
I was excited, wondering if there would be crab.
But the evening was a bit disappointing. There weren't many sweets.
Since it's by the sea, I wish there had been more seafood.
I was satisfied in the morning.
The bath was very clean and nice.
Facilities and food are good. Just the location of hotel is a bit uphill. It would be better if i have rent a car.
Being a newly renovated hotel, the interior was bright and clean, which was nice, but the room door did not open and close smoothly and the key was difficult to use, which was inconvenient.
The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant (including the washing area) were cheerful and friendly.
As for the hot spring itself, although it can't be helped that it is not directly drawn from the source...
The front desk and buffet dining staff were very friendly. The back of the toilet seat in the room was dirty and the hair dryer cord was tangled. The room was cold and there were frequent stink bugs.
It was very beautiful and comfortable.
I booked four rooms for one night. I didn't expect that after I arrived at the hotel, the hotel asked me to pay the full amount for the four rooms, which I had already paid for on the website. However, the hotel staff had poor English skills and could not communicate with me. After an hour of confusion, I realized later that the money I paid on the website was actually a deposit. The room was incredibly spacious. The facilities, while having a traditional Japanese hotel style that's a bit dated, were exceptionally clean. The breakfast and dinner I booked were very elaborate. The staff translated and explained every dish to us, which greatly enhanced the service experience.
The cascading waterfall in the Yamanaka area was a stunning sight, and our tatami room was spacious and comfortable. The kaiseki meal was superb, and the onsen waters were excellent. It was a wonderful experience overall. Be sure to use the free shuttle bus from Kagaonsen Station, as the hotel is quite a distance away.
Kaga was my absolute favorite gem of a city during my Hokuriku trip! One day it even snowed ❄️ which was truly beautiful! I'll definitely come back to Hokuriku again next time!!!
very good experience! we had a nice stay there.
This was a truly satisfying stay. Before checking in, I had visited Shirakawa-go and was a little disappointed not to see any snow. But then, on my first morning at the hotel, I pulled back the curtains to find it snowing heavily! It was absolutely amazing. Very beautiful onsen hotspring hotel with good service. The hotel surrounded by mountains and small river. Very calm and quiet, it will release stress from daily city life.
This beautifully maintained hotel is a true hidden gem. Its stunning riverside onsen offers the perfect blend of relaxation and nature, letting you unwind while listening to the gentle flow of the river. Every moment here reflects the warmth and elegance of genuine Japanese hospitality—attentive service, thoughtful details, and a serene atmosphere that makes you feel completely at home. If you’re looking...
The room was old and run-down, and there were too many small animals. The "hot spring water" in the room seemed to be just boiled regular water; it didn't taste like hot spring water at all. The breakfast was unpalatable and extremely salty. I won't go back. 👎
The cost performance was great 😀
Although it was a short notice reservation, they were happy to accommodate.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The Japanese-style room was relaxing. The bath was also clean and relaxing. The open-air bath along the mountain stream requires you to descend quite a few steps along the slope, then climb back up after bathing, making it a good workout.

The onsen is uniquely situated right by a stream, which made the onsen experience very enjoyable and interesting. However, since it hasn't been updated or renovated, guests have to climb 71 uneven rocks down and up in slippers, I do not recommend for people without strong legs or vision. Wonderful place. Greeted as we drove up, valet parking. Room was so nice and clean. Everybody was amazing and it was all perfect.
The food and bath were perfect, but the water in the bathroom in my room didn't drain well, so the front desk staff fixed it first. This was my first visit in four years. I stayed with the in-room dining plan. The room had been renovated the last time, but this time I was surprised to see that the baths had been renovated!
