Rurikoh in Kaga

Excellent onsen hotel in quiet yet popular location .. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Taiku drums nightly show was fun and great draw for families with kids. We stayed on a very busy weekend and hotel’s breakfast and dinner were fully booked. NTL the hotels casual restaurant was very good, menu and price wise; also excellent location to see the drum show . Easy walking distance (5-10 minutes) to Main Street of Yamashiro, tho not in middle of it. Free drinks and snacks in lounge very pleasant. Free shuttle bus to KagaOnsen station is popular .

Most thankful to hotel’s customers service in answering a few requests we made within 24 hours prior to check-in. Except for meals which were fully booked , they catered for our requests, and with prompt emails communication.

Would highly recommend hotel Rurikoh , when visiting Yamashiro.

It was very good. I added an outdoor bath to mark the occasion, but the satisfaction level really increased. We recommend customer service, cooking, etc. The temperature is just right for the bath, warm!

Polite response from the staff. The rooms with open air baths have a beautiful view and are perfect. The large shared bathroom is spacious and comfortable. The lounge was also available and I was able to relax. very good It was a hotel.

The calm and elegant appearance of the establishment gave me a sense of the dignity of a long-established establishment. Business must have been tough during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we still had a lot of customers. Both the indoor and outdoor baths were spacious and relaxing, so I went in four times. It's especially great that it's open 24 hours a day, so you can bathe at any time. It's irresistible for hot spring lovers! The rooms were also clean and spacious. The card key is convenient.

The hotel is a bit remote and the facilities are a bit old. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Gusoyu (one of the attractions), and all the nearby shops are open after 5 pm, so if you arrive before 3 pm, it is very inconvenient to go out and find food! However, the hotel's hot spring facilities are great, with indoor and outdoor free 24-hour use, and an outdoor foot bath. The kaiseki cuisine in the evening is very rich and delicious, and the breakfast buffet is just average. The hotel also has two Chinese-speaking waiters to help you with check-in instructions, which is helpful for travelers who don't understand Japanese.

The room is big enough and clean

I took my mother, who has trouble walking, with me, and they provided a wheelchair for her, and a Japanese-Western style room for her, who has trouble getting out of bed, which was very helpful.
Of course, the hot springs were also very pleasant, and my mother was very happy with them.

This Japanese-style hot spring hotel has complete facilities and the lobby is decorated in a very luxurious style. We arrived early and enjoyed the free afternoon tea and foot bath first. When we checked in at 3 o'clock, a waiter in kimono guided us to the door of the room, which was very considerate. After taking a bath, we had dinner on the 2nd floor of the hotel as scheduled. Dinner is a standard Kaiseki cuisine, which is very sumptuous. Each family has its own private dining space and is equipped with a dedicated person to serve throughout the meal. At 9 o'clock in the evening, the hotel arranged a local Taiko performance in Kaga for the guests, which was very unique. The whole experience was very satisfying.
