Dormy Inn Kofu Natural Hot Spring in Kofu

A comfortable and thoughtfully designed stay in Kofu!

This was a very pleasant stay at Dormy Inn Kofu. The room was immaculately clean and well-organised—everything from the twin beds to the compact yet functional sink and vanity area was spotless and efficient. The design is simple but warm, with clever use of space. I loved the convenience of having a large mirror and a mini fridge right by the sink.

The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and I appreciated the attention to detail—like the slippers, water glasses, hair dryer, and extra power sockets by the bed. The seating area with a round table and chairs was also a nice touch.

Though the hotel isn’t brand new, it’s clear that it’s well-maintained and offers a great blend of comfort and value. I didn’t get to try the onsen this time, but Dormy Inns are known for their baths and late-night ramen!

Highly recommended if you’re visiting Kofu. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 2D1N on 12 November 2025 at Dormy Inn Kofu, and the overall experience was excellent. We drove directly from Haneda Airport, and the journey took around 3 hours due to traffic jam along the Tokyo express highway. The hotel’s onsite parking was very convenient, and the parking security staff were extremely helpful and friendly, guiding us clearly on parking access — something we truly appreciated after a long drive.

The flexible check-in time was also a big plus. The staff at the counter were welcoming and friendly, giving us a warm first impression. I also truly appreciate how the staff consistently put effort into maintaining the hospitality and cleanliness of the hotel — it really shows in every part of the experience.

One of the best highlights was the ♨️ rooftop onsen —
• The view was stunning, especially in the cool evening air
• The area was beautifully covered with wooden walls for privacy and atmosphere
• Everything was superbly clean and well maintained

Dormy Inn’s signature hospitality also stood out:

• 🍜 Midnight ramen (yonaki soba)
• ☕ Free self-service coffee available onsite

All these thoughtful touches made the stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.

The room was clean, cozy, and fully equipped with essentials. The overall atmosphere felt homely yet efficient — perfect for a short getaway in Yamanashi.

Service was excellent but rooms are a bit small for the price. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

Happy with my stay. Rooms were clean, corridors were quiet, staff were helpful. The onsen was great, helped me recover after hiking Shirane Sanzan.

The place was in the center of a lot of restaurants/bars, which is just located below. Staff were very helpful and professional. The onsen was amazing with an indoor and outdoor spa.

My only complaint is that the pillow was too hard.

Our family stayed three nights at Dormy Inn. We enjoyed our stay, as the rooms were comfortable. The staff was incredible, helping us through our rental car incident, going above and beyond despite the language barrier. When we return to Kofu, we shall stay again.

The room was a bit small yet very comfortable. They provided a good variety of food for the breakfast buffet. They also have free ramen in the evening and taste very good. It only took around 10 minutes to walk to JR kofu station.
There is also a family mart close by.
I would recommend staying in this hotel.

Great hotel close to JR line and city. Just a 7 minute walk flat walk from the station.

TIP: Walk on the right side away from the station, When you get to the pedestrian overhead bridge, walk 5 metres up the side road and cross the road. Drivers will stop to let you cross. We didn't use the bridge once on our 6 day stay.

Enjoyed the free coffee and late night free ramen noodles on level 1 every night. Loved the free ice creams and drinks in the Onsen. The lounge was always busy also.

Rooftop onsen was super busy, especially in the evening up past midnight. I enjoyed 2 early morning soaks in the womens round 2am - 3am with the baths all to myself ... was glorious and safe. My husband found the men's baths were always in use no matter what time he went.

Breakfast was plentiful with a variety to suit most travellers. Restaurant staff were joyous and happy. We loved greeting them each day.

Housekeeping did a fantastic job. we always had clean towels, clean rooms and housekeepers were so friendly.

If the hotel offered a variety of pillow options, I would have given a 5 star rating.

Great place! Thanks to onsen you will forget all your troubles and problems. And big thank you to hotel management and staff for thinking about so many details to make guests happy. Location is good, 15 minutes walk to central station. Many Restaurants not far from. Bank is close as well (with currency exchange if you need). Cold ice cream/drink after onsen and hot soup later in the evening are very much appreciated.
