We had a very nice stay at this peaceful hotel. The modern tatami rooms are spacious and well equiped. It was a treat to use the onsen bath every day. The food was truly amazing, one can get to know different tastes of traditional japansese food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. An ideal place to stay if you enjoy hiking!

The hotel is very nice, quiet, large rooms, clean, very good food ... but the customer service was absolutely outstanding: I left my backpack (with laptop) on the bus. The hotel owner immediately got involved, and I received the backpack back within half an hour. Absolutely amazing!

We found the place to be clean and comfortable.

The rooms are small, but far from the smallest we've had on this trip. We were still able to fit in 4 grown men. I personally found the room to be comfortable.
The traditional style meals were great. Dinner was a 3 course meal and we got so much more than expected. I could barely finish it. Breakfast was wonderful too. It was
different but I appreciated the experience.
The Hot spring was enjoyable. We had a late night soak at 10pm.
All up, I rate this venue highly. Well worth the price.

The Ryokan is near Sawando bus terminal, about a 3-4 minute drive. The central part of the hotel is older than it appears in the pictures. Notably, there is no private bath in the room, so bathing is limited to the onsen facilities.
Dinner has a mediocre taste, rated 6/10. The meat is chewy, and the fish seems neither fresh nor tender

It has just been renovated, and many of the furniture and equipment are new, but it can be seen that the quality of the materials used is not very good. The environment of the hot spring is not good. The worst thing is that the sitting stones and the hot spring stepping stones have many edges and corners, which are very dangerous. We almost got cuts, so we had to leave quickly. The environment was very quiet at night and there was no place to walk nearby, but the dinner was very comfortable and not bad. The waiters explained and greeted attentively, which is worthy of praise!

The bath is said to come from a hot spring source, but it was so hot that I had to be careful to get into it. However, I think the power of the hot springs is that I was able to stay in light clothes until the morning without getting cold. If the changing room is dark, you will not feel safe, so I think it would be better if it was a little brighter.
I think the distance between the staff was just right, but since my luggage was heavy, I wish I had an elevator.

The food is quite good. Some of the employees understand English and are very helpful. There are some souvenirs available for purchase on the ground floor, including food, skin care products, and some cute Kappa souvenirs.
