Absolutely loved this onsen stay! It’s perfectly located near the bus terminal and the waterfall, with stunning views right from the room. The food was amazing — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The staff and owner were so warm and friendly, making me feel completely at home and well looked after. Everything was clean, tidy, and thoughtfully arranged. I really enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor baths. I only wish I had booked at least two nights to enjoy it even more! This place is definitely on my return list — and I strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The dinner of Hida beef grilled over charcoal around the hearth at this hot spring hotel is simply splendid during the cold winter months.

Best stay we have ever had in our holiday in Japan! Highly recommended! The meal is one of the best! Room and facilities are great. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. The private and public bath are so nice and not crowded at all. Thanks!

We had a great stay at this hotel!
It is much better than it looks like in the pictures.
There are 3 private onsens and 2 public ones (for men/women). The only downside are the showers without privacy, only present at the public onsens but there are not many people and it was empty every time I went. Many signs are not translated so make sure to take your phone with Google Translate not to miss important things like where the onsens are.
The dinner was amazing, very good quality and lot of quantity. You’ll have kimonos to wear so it feels very authentic.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. The food for dinner and breakfast are delicious. We stayed in the clean and nice Japanese tatami room. There is 1 public indoor and 1 public outdoor onsen. We can use 3 nice and free private outdoor onsen as well. There are not many ryokans with free private outdoor onsen. It was an excellent stay!

It was quiet and comfortable, and the bath was nice. The food was also very satisfying. The taste and volume were very good.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoy authentic Japanese style meals and hot spring. The family run this hotel with a lot of thoughtful care and hospitality. The traditional Japanese meals were authentic and served with fresh Hida beef and local vegetables. As a hot spring lover, the hot spring were beyond expectation. There are private rooms and shared rooms for hot spring, and they all share a great view of a quiet forest. (It was snowy the day I came, and the experience of bathing in hot spring while surrounded by the snowy forest was superb.) Overall, it’s a very pleasant stay!
