Booked here because their website says they will adapt their menu for allergies (in our case gluten free / coeliac disease). An earlier Google review also mentions them providing gluten free food for a previous guest.
However, when contacting the hotel, it turns out they cannot / will not provide a gluten free meal. When reasoning this, they repeatedly mentioned the remoteness of Kamikochi and the distance to the nearest hospital, despite us explaining several times that coeliac disease is not an allergy that could lead to hospitalisation. It's a shame as the hotel and location look great but we wanted to make people aware of this, as our experience conflicts with what is stated on their website and the earlier review mentioning gluten free food being available.

The heater could not adjust inside the room, you will feel very hot and dry when sleeping.

This hotel is good, very good. The room is spacious, clean, good service, you can leave your luggage before check-in. If you leave it before check-in, they will send your luggage to your room for you, no need to drag it yourself. Breakfast is a buffet, dinner is a fine dining dinner, French style food, very delicious, the view from the room is amazing. Book the mountain side, you can take pictures of the view from the room, just open the curtain, it's really good. The staff is good, speak English, you can leave your luggage after check-out, no need to say much. The shared bathroom is Daifuroba, clean, quite wide. I like this hotel a lot.

Second time staying here. Great location, right beside Kappa bridge. Room is clean and comfortable. Highlight is French course meal dinner and very delicious buffett breakfast!

The location is very good and convenient. The dinner was delicious. I stayed for two nights and had different nights.

Hotel was next to the Kappa Bridge,very convenient. Dinner was French fine dining set and delicious. Ambience was nice in the hotel. Staff at counter offered us towel to wipe as we were drenched after hiking in the rain,it was really nice of them.

This hotel does not have air conditioning in room, so it’s very difficult to sleep when it’s close to 30 degrees C even in Kamikochi. The dinner is delicious, but that’s it. Not very good value for the money.
