Lotte Arai Resort, Myoko1 / 30
8.5
Chubu region, Myoko, 1966 Ryozenji 🧭 Map
Beautiful facility, amazing staff, comfortable rooms, delicious food, and lasting memories! enjoyed my stay. I recommend trying the zip line! The shuttle from the train station was easy to find and very convenient
Great location, I stayed at the Arai section, next to the Onsen, convenient. The hotel has a buffet breakfast and 5 restaurants to choose from
Nearly all of the terrain is off-piste so good snow is needed to access most runs
Very good ski resort. Check-in after 3 PM, check-out before 11 AM.
If you get the package deal then all of the breakfast and dinners are covered. The mountain is serviced but a single main gondola with quad chairs that take you in different directions
It’s a short walk from the ski room to the gondola.   We enjoyed the restaurants and onsen.   We had a fantastic week of skiing with fresh snow on five consecutive days

APA Hotel & Resort Jyoetsu Myoko, Myoko1 / 26
8.2
Chubu region, Myoko, 1090 Okemi 🧭 Map
The room was spacious for two people at 29 square meters, and it was clean and functional, so we were very satisfied
This was a very nice resort, especially the illumination show. The rooms were spacious compared to other Japanese hotels, the food was excellent with great service and our overall experience was good
Myoko First of all, the views of Mt. Myoko from the room, the large communal bath, and the open-air bath are spectacular. If the weather is good, it's an exceptional stay
Near the hotel there is a beautiful landscape, mountains and forest. Good breakfast, lots of different fruits, European and Japanese cuisine.
Very nice view from your room. Will come back again
Amazing views and very relaxing atmosphere.

Chubu region, Myoko, 1-4-8,Takayanagi 🧭 Map
Very good value for money hotel. The breakfast is good too. It's better to have a car if you stay in this hotel.
Great breakfast. Distance a bit far from Arai station. Very clean
Location is convenient and service is good
There's parking places available for the guests too
There was a large public bath, so I was able to relax after snowboarding. There were some young people making noise in the middle of the night, but other than that I was satisfied.
First time to stay at such seasonal hotel for snowboarding with friends, facilities and hardwares are in decent quality, highly recommend the breakfast there.

Kogakuro, Myoko1 / 30
9.2
Chubu region, Myoko 🧭 Map
Kogakuro Onsen was one of the best hotel experiences I have had
The best was the fluffy thick pancakes with the lightest of whipped cream - get in early for them! And at the end of the day - the hot mineral spring Onsen
Located close to the main street of Myoko, Kogakuro has the perfect mix of sophisticated customer-centric service and warm inviting generous cultural hospitality
Mieko and the team were wonderful and make your trip easy and very special. The rooms were spacious with delightfully simple Japanese furnishings
Super relaxing while the minerals work their magic on muscles and joints. Not to mention the added bonus of soft skin after
Breakfast was everything you need for a day of skiing - a wide choice of Asian, European and US style food

Lime Resort Myoko, Myoko1 / 10
9.2
Chubu region, Myoko, 2251-2 Sekikawa 🧭 Map
Great location with superb views from the room window. The breakfast and dinner buffet spreads were excellent. Although there is no private shower in the room, the shared shower facilities were clean and well maintained.
Prime hotel that has premium facilities, rooms, onsen and service. The hotel provides shuttle to various ski resorts in the Myoko region and has a good breakfast buffet
The stay was absolutely comfortable. Good onsen and nice breakfast. Bedding was solid as well. The friendly staffs also assisted with restaurantsreservations too.
The hotel is also not far from the ski resort, about a 10-minute drive away. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money
The buffet dinner is not very good and relatively over priced for what was served
Coin operated laundry/dryers were very useful. The lobby floor has a nice coffee shop, serving fresh baked goods, and a small The North Face shop, in case you need to upgrade your ski gear

Super Hotel Arai Niigata, Myoko1 / 27Good price
8.8
Chubu region, Myoko, 120-8 Inoyama 🧭 Map
Excellent non-smoking room with no lingering odor, in a great location.
Good onsen, great service, happy.
Located in a service area, this is a very Japanese-style express hotel. It's clean and tidy, with great service. The breakfast is delicious and adequate. There's free coffee and wine in the afternoon and evening
Great for self-drivers, it's like a service area. Convenient for both Myoko Ski Resort and Joetsu city center. It's clean, and the beds are comfortable. After skiing, you can use the large public bath
There are several restaurants nearby, and a Lawson is across the street, which is very convenient. Many Japanese office workers stop here on business trips
There's a convenience store downstairs and multiple restaurants

Hotel Alpen Blick, Myoko1 / 28
8.1
Chubu region, Myoko, 2452 ikenotairaonsen 🧭 Map
Good place for family/leisure skiing, great dinner with hotpot. Cozy house feels like home.
The room is big enough but the bathroom is too small. Heater in room works great but all around hotel is a bit cold. Bad mobile phone and wifi network.
We were at Alpen Blick for a ski trip and had a wonderful stay there. Pros (so many!) Location: Excellent, ski in ski out, 15-minute walk to restaurants and just 10 minutes by car from Myoko Kogen station
They were clean and in excellent condition. Service: The service was excellent. Shuttle buses run from 8 am-4pm between the resort and the station and nearby eateries
Cleanliness is good, although the bathroom is small and cramped with no external mirror. Breakfast is adequate and the same every day; some variety would be good
Good experience. Staff so good. Far from train station. Hetel have free bus to pick up. Ski in and out.

Akakura Hotel, Myoko1 / 10

Chubu region, Myoko, 486 Akakura, 949-2111 Myoko, Prefektura Niigata, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
Lovely hotel next to the ski lift. Clean and large onsen with everything you need. Breakfast is normal. The rooms are a little tired and dusty, but not critical.
Just a short walk to the ski lifts and restaurants all just down the road. This place was perfect. Multiple Onsens to relax in. Will stay again.
The hotel has such good history, the breakfast is good and the staff were accommodating. There is also a free shuttle service from Myoko-kogen station to the hotel and back. The place is accessible to the ski ground.
The hotel is very close to the ski resort, which is very convenient
Our family of four had a slightly unusual room; the bedroom and living room were separate, but to get to the living room, you had to go outside to a public area, which was a bit inconvenient because you might run into other guests
Staff are very kind and helpful, super friendly, love the ppl and the vibe. Breakfast food was good, apple juice is a highlight

Kyukamura Myoko, Myoko1 / 28
8.8
Chubu region, Myoko, Sekiyama, Niigata Prefecture 🧭 Map
Overall, it was excellent value for money and absolutely worth what we paid. Highly recommended for anyone driving into the Myoko area, especially for a relaxed ski trip
Stayed 6 nights with a couple of friends in 3 rooms and we had an absolutely comfortable stay! The staff were really helpful when they learnt that we were rented a 2WD and offered to shuttle us to and from Sekiyama Station on days when the weather was bad
Love the place as it’s a cozy hotel. Simple slope for beginners skier is good. Food not bad. Though more ala carte food would be nice as hungry after skiing. Rooms have great view and simple
We stayed here for 4 nights during a snowboarding trip to Myoko and had a great experience. The resort is slightly out of the way, but the extra 15-minute drive from the Akakura Onsen area was well worth it
The surroundings were peaceful, and it felt less crowded. Meals were generous, delicious, and always served hot. The amenities were excellent, and the ski run was well groomed and ideal for beginners
Good service for the price. Dinner is ordinary, perhaps needs to improve quality rather than quantity. Breakfast was good.

Hotel Taiko, Myoko1 / 27
8.7
Chubu region, Myoko, Akakura 402 🧭 Map
The hotel has Onsen, a very good facility. The hotel is very close to the Akakura Onsen Ski Area and within walking distance, only 8 minutes walk
The exterior looks old and dull, but the interior is in good condition, and the lobby is spacious and bright, with a panoramic view of Mt
We visited the onsen after every day of skiing as well! Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, but Mizuki stood out in her customer service abilities. She should be the customer service manager
We were always greeted with a smile. She helped with our check-in, coordinated our transfer to the train station, helped with dinner reservations, lift ticlets & gave lots of great recommendations
The pancakes were delicious! Mizuki at the front desk of hotel Taiko went above & beyond to ensure that we were happy throughout our stay.   Every interaction with her was warm and welcoming
This traditional Japanese onsen hotel is perfectly located an 8 min walk to the closest ski lift & right by the main street. Breakfast had both Japanese & Westrn options

Chubu region, Myoko, 218-83 Tagiri 🧭 Map
Kaz and his wife are amazing hosts. Everything was excellent!! Going back next jan without a doubt.
Fantastic place, they looked after us very well and location was great — ski in and ski out.
Kazu's mum's homemade blueberry and apple conserve are to-die for! Lovely sitting by the fire at night after a long day on the slopes. Good sized rooms with comfy beds
If anyone wonders, Booking dot com currently has little reviews because they removed this listing due to inactivity on their site (Covid! Foreigners couldnt enter JP but they were running via local booking sites) You probably won't regret staying here^^
they even picked us up in the middle of the night when our car got stuck in the snow! Very authentic breakfast is served in the morning, and they offer a discount ski ticket and lunch voucher redeemable on the mountain
If you're looking for an authentic Japanese experience, this is the place to be. This lodge has been in operations for over 40 years. Kaz and Moko, the hosts, are amazing. They're very kind, helpful and hospitable

Akakura Kanko Hotel, Myoko1 / 27
9.3
Chubu region, Myoko, Tagiri 216, 949-2102 Myoko, Prefektura Niigata, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
Kaiseki is fine, and the quality is excellent, suitable for Chinese palates. The special kaiseki I chose for an additional fee the next day was terrible, with a heavy sugary sauce that made it unpleasant
The room also had a slight odor due to the high humidity, which exposed the room's shortcomings without the beautiful view. The air conditioner was too loud, and the toilet was difficult to flush
The buffet has a wide variety of dishes and good taste, while the set menu is average, but the view is beautiful. I booked a room with breakfast and dinner included. Dinner was served at Shirakaba
Aqua Dining is located in the Premium Building, with windows on three sides, offering a fantastic view. The food, both the white corn and scallop appetizer and the wagyu steak main course, exceeded my expectations
It takes over five hours by car, but when I arrived and took in the views from the lobby, my room, the Aqua Terrace, and the open-air bath, I thought, "Akakura Kanko Hotel is truly amazing
This is my favorite hotel, and I think my July stay was my 10th. Because it's far from Tokyo, I usually stay here once or twice a year, but this year I stayed back in June and July
