We stayed here for 4 nights during a snowboarding trip to Myoko and had a great experience.

The resort is slightly out of the way, but the extra 15-minute drive from the Akakura Onsen area was well worth it. The surroundings were peaceful, and it felt less crowded.

Meals were generous, delicious, and always served hot. The amenities were excellent, and the ski run was well groomed and ideal for beginners.

Overall, it was excellent value for money and absolutely worth what we paid. Highly recommended for anyone driving into the Myoko area, especially for a relaxed ski trip.

Stayed 6 nights with a couple of friends in 3 rooms and we had an absolutely comfortable stay!

The staff were really helpful when they learnt that we were rented a 2WD and offered to shuttle us to and from Sekiyama Station on days when the weather was bad. Huge thanks to Mr Wang & Mr Noguchi for the impeccable service!

It was super convenient as a base for skiing too as the hotel provided rental services and a dry room for ski gear storage.

Breakfast & dinner every day was delicious

The onsen facilities and amenities provided was complete. Towels, soap, yukata & slippers are all provided.

Highly highly recommended!!!

I stayed at Kyukamura Myoko to take part in the Sasagamine Plateau walking tour. The Japanese-Western style room is great because it doesn't have Japanese paper doors and doors on a clothes rack. Myoko is also famous for its tomatoes, and the tomatoes I bought directly from Sekiyama were delicious! It is said that the produce in the Daidohara area will be shipped after they are fully ripe. The Sasagamine Plateau walking tour is held every Thursday in the spring and fall. I have not seen the autumn leaves yet, but I can drink dragonflies, grazing cows, and fresh water from Utana. Since I stayed indoors the whole time, the forest bath was relaxing both physically and mentally. The lunch box is delicious again, is it pickled taro stems or roasted chestnuts? I was impressed and ate. Climbing shoes are recommended if you walk about 6 km. Next time I would like to go in the spring when the buttercups are blooming. Myoko has beautiful nature. I thought it would be nice to not have modern buildings, but I was surprised that there were so many cars from the city. The rice, sake, water and air are delicious.

There are ski resorts near the hotel, but they are less challenging and more suitable for families. If you want to try other ski resorts in Myoko City, you'll generally need to drive at least 20 minutes. The hotel is located far from the city center, so driving is the only recommended option.

The hotel rooms are of moderate size and have all the basic amenities. The hotel staff are friendly.

Love the place as it’s a cozy hotel. Simple slope for beginners skier is good. Food not bad. Though more ala carte food would be nice as hungry after skiing. Rooms have great view and simple

Good service for the price. Dinner is ordinary, perhaps needs to improve quality rather than quantity. Breakfast was good.

Spacious and well equipped and decorated room with mountain view. Dinner and breakfast are value for money. Mr Wang of the restaurant from China is friendly and helpful.

Stayed the next day when there was more than 70 cm of snow in 24 hours. I was worried about the road because it was 2WD instead of 4WD, but there was no problem at all because the snow was well removed up to the nearest Sekiyama station. However, because the road in front of Kyukamura Myoko is off the main road, snow removal is inadequate, and 2DW is quite difficult due to the uphill slope. In particular, the slope in front of the accommodation was quite steep, so I managed to climb with the accelerator fully open with a run-up. If you are going by 2WD, we recommend checking the road in front of you with a live camera in Niigata, and if you can see the snow, park your car at the nearest Sekiyama station and have them pick you up.
