My stay at HOTEL LiVEMAX BUDGET Nagoya Shinkansen-guchi was fine overall — nothing standout, but nothing terrible either.

The room was standard for Japan: small, compact, and functional. It had everything I needed for a short stay, but don’t expect much space or anything particularly memorable.

Service was also standard — polite and efficient, but very minimal interaction.

The location is the strongest point. It’s close to a lot of restaurants for both lunch and dinner, which made it easy to find food nearby. One thing to note is that depending on which exit you take from Nagoya Station, the walk can feel either short or surprisingly long, so that’s worth keeping in mind.

Overall, it’s a practical budget hotel if you mainly care about food options and being near the station, and you’re okay with a small, no-frills room.

Booked this mainly because it was close to Nagoya Station (350m). But during our 3 night-stay we used more the Kamejima Station (550m) as starting point to get around the city.

• Breakfast was included. Know that it is packed and to be collected from the lobby. No common area in the hotel to eat it so either bring it up to the room or eat wherever outside.

Hotel room & toilet clean & tidy. Bed mattress was comfortable. Room with microwave, fridge & kettle. Convenient for travellers. Location was strategy, very near to MRT Station. Recommended

clean. there is a water dispenser too at the lobby. good location too (walking distance to nagoya st and shishimaru ramen 😊

Need a little walk from the station. Clean and small room but very accommodating. The bed was fluffy, water pressure at bathroom was great as well. Bathtub with warm water is a plus point if you wanna relax after exploring Nagoya. TV worked great.

Good location, very new Hotel and fair price!

The location is about 5 minutes on foot from the west exit of Nagoya station.
It's about to get a little lonely.
The building is relatively new and the room is small but clean.
The first impression was that there was a microwave oven in the room even though it was a cheap hotel🤣
There is also a pot and the repertoire of cooking spreads 🤣🤣
But the worst thing is the front desk.
The fat woman Sutatsu is arrogant while sitting all the time during the correspondence. I can't even say hello properly.
If it weren't for this hotel, I'd give it about 4 stars because it's a good value for money hotel, but 2 stars is minus 😡

I used the room on a day when the price was four times higher than usual,
room is small
The humidifier contains water that you don't know how long it's been in
The toilet is small (I think it's a size for elementary school students)
Dust clumps and blood stains on the bathrobe
etc. was disappointing.
I don't think I'll use the amenities again at the very least.

The bed itself was nice and comfortable.

First impression is new and not so small. However, the toilet is small and the towels are small and thin. . The air conditioning works well and the elevators are fast. It's nice to have new equipment. It's not far from the Escha exit, so I think it's comfortable if you use it sparingly.
