The location is excellent for access to the nearby resorts and is centrally located for easy access to the entire mountain.
The spread of food available with the included breakfast and dinner was also very nice, however a lot of the "hot" food was served cold even when we arrived at the start of the dining period.
The room was lacking in power outlets and we had no control over the heating, which would come on and off in seemingly unusual windows and would make very loud banging noises between 6:30am and 7am, which was incredibly frustrating.
I like a firm pillow but these were on another level and did not provide comfort for sleeping. I can't imagine how bad it is for people who like soft pillows. Bedding was also insufficient in size and warmth with no additional blankets in the room.
The hot water in the bathroom took a ridiculously long time to warm up - sometimes pushing 5 minutes - other times it didn't warm up at all or not nearly enough before giving up.
We were provided a locker for our skis but it was only big enough for one pair of skis so we had to leave the other pair unsecured, which wasn't really an issue but worth commenting on.

Skiing in Shiga Kogen, you're right on the gondola, hahahaha.
Breakfast and dinner are included, so don't worry, the dinner was delicious.
The only downside was the lack of WiFi in the room.

You need to book breakfast and dinner! Otherwise there is nowhere to eat, the hotel's dinner is very good! I went skiing specifically, right in front of the Ichinose Snow Resort, the location is great! The hotel has history!

It is very convenient to ski, ski-in, ski-out, and rent skis. Although the quality of the skis is average, the price is affordable. You can exchange ski tickets across the street. What I am not satisfied with is the breakfast, which is too American. There is nothing to eat, and there is no food after 8:15. I stayed for several days and the bacon was gone every time. The good thing is that the dinner is very rich. The dishes are changed every day. There are beef and hot pot. The taste is satisfactory but the quantity is large.

The hotel facilities are relatively old, and the only difference is that it is located next to the Ichinose cable car. The hot spring is only open in the afternoon, and the breakfast is average. It is not recommended.

The impression of this hotel is very special. The old man at the front desk is very friendly. Although we don't speak the language, he still tries to help us solve the problem. The location of the hotel is very good, ski in and ski out of the ski resort.

Kodama is right beside the Ichinose Ski Resort bus stop. Ski rental and ski lessons (Ride Shiga) are just across the hotel.

It was probably a nice place in 1973.
The hot water in the room didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it. They suggested to use the public bath instead.
The ski lockers for the twin rooms are very small. No way to fit 2 pairs of wide skis in there!
