This was my first time staying in a hotel of this type. I ended up staying in a family room on the top floor, which was very clean and spacious and I was very satisfied! It's a little far from Hiroshima Station, but not too far to walk.

I am not tech savvy. But Grand Base made check in & check out so easy. I’m so happy with their hotel. Our room is roomy and very clean & new. This a fairly new , self serve hotel. It’s self check-in and checkout. No contact with anybody. It’s very clean, has all the essentials. Room had 2 comfortable queen beds, Japanese style. Bathroom was very nice and big. Kitchenette very small but enough to make tea or coffee and warm up food. The hotel doesn’t offer any tea or coffee you have to bring it. We enjoyed our stay. Very clean. Relatively close to Hiroshima Station. I don't know how to feel about the whole contact free check in system. I didn't like the hassle of pre-check in, although it saved me time when I arrived. I'd prefer to have staff on site. I also didn't like inflexible check-in time.

This is not a standard hotel. If you are looking for a clean, quiet apartment type space with a kitchenette and laundry, this is PERFECT. If you are looking for traditional hotel services, reception, support services etc., this is not what you want. The check in is kiosk type and tedious for a large group. A 15 min walk from Hiroshima Station but very direct. Excellent TV and WiFi.

We were so happy with our choice with GRAND BASE. Room to move and put luggage, spotless, secure, easy to check in and so very close to all the historical areas we wanted to explore. Easy walk to many restaurants and the ferry boat to Miyajima. We would strongly recommend this apart/hotel.

Staff welcoming and gave entrance to room early. Location 5 minute walk to Memorial Peace Park. Washer and dryer in room.

It was a small hotel near the Peace Memorial Park, making it easy to walk to the park and the museum without a lot of crowds. The rooms were nice and big, giving us lots of space to relax.

Family Trip We only stay for 2 nights. Location was great, close the Peace Memorial Park area and train line. It just took a bit longer to do the self check in. Otherwise was a great experience.

The entire apartment building itself is a hotel, and it was refreshing to see that each room, such as Room 201, was a guest room. It was all good. It would have been nicerto be closer to center but I guess I could have checked. The only problem, there was misunderstanding with the prepayment so I got charged twice and I am waiting on Trip.com to fix the issue

It was very comfortable. It was my first time staying at the Kannonmachi Annex, but it was clean, well-equipped, and very relaxing.

The staff were very friendly and very helpful with giving us tips on what to do in providing us with a map and timetable of the ferry. Hotel was very clean and accessible !! 

The room was large by Japanese standards, but it's not sound proofed, as my room faced the main street, it was very noisy and I had a difficult time sleeping. Also the room was very dark, I would have preferred a lighter environment.

We took the tatami apartment, with separate bedroom. Big bathroom, nice amenities. Close walking distance to train station and shopping centre, that has many food options.

Room was clean and well maintained. No issue checking in, it was simple.

The entry is extremely hard to find- look for a narrow doorway in the middle of the block, not where the map places you. Signage is poor. Take the elevator to the 5th floor. Reception is unmanned but there is a phone if you have problems with their automatic sign-in (we did). Once we were in the room it was fine for the night.

Good value for the price. The checkin procedure was a bit difficult to navigate as there is no one at the location. We did find the phone and it became very easy.

Amazing space The room was absolutely amazing. The beds were a little hard, but I guess that is to be expected in Japan. Other than that super satisfied with our stay. Would love to stay here again.

I stayed here for 1 night, didn't have any problem. All the facilities are good and working. Quiet place, 15 min walk from the atomic bomb dome.

I think this place was good for 2 nights, location was amazing and people staying there seemed nice. It didn’t really feel like a guesthouse tho, staff weren’t really that present but that’s okay

The place was quite clean, and the service was excellent. Laundry is super affordable at 200 yen, significantly cheaper than other hostels which typically charge 300-500 yen. They also have a dryer, so rainy days aren't an issue. The only drawback is that it's a wooden, detached house (not reinforced concrete), so the sound insulation isn't the best. Perfect choice for an affordable and clean Hostel near the main attraction. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff friendly, approachable and uncomplicated. The entrance is up the steps (which is extremely inconvenient when you arrive with a suitcase), but the staff helped both lift and lower my suitcase. And overall the staff is very nice. The bed is extremely uncomfortable to sleep in, especially if you are on the lower level. When the person above you moves during sleep, the sound of the bed and mattress is very loud and even earplugs do not help....

It was only after we arrived that we realized that we were very close in walking distance to the main things you want to see when visiting Hiroshima. Also it's a short walk from the main Tram line ( No.6 and No.2 ), and there are a few local restaurants in the area to tempt you. The Hostel itself is very welcoming and supportive. Facilities are good and there is a healthy emphasis on hygiene.

A gem in Hiroshima. Close to the Atomic Bomb Dome and the city center, this hostel offers several utilities to its guests, including a large kitchen and cosy lounge. Homey atmosphere, along with fresh international vibes, is all over the place. Would totally recommend. Thumbs up to the owner Hazuki, bright and approachable lady!

Great and helpful staff. Great location with taxis right outside along with a bus stop very close to the hotel. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable but perfect for an easy one night stay.

This accommodation is about 10 10-minute walk from Saijyo Station. The air conditioner was a bit noisy, but the room itself is good and clean.

The location is 750m walk from saijo station. The room is small, the semidouble bed (120cm) is quite small for two persons. So it's better if you book for one person at semidouble bed room

Very cheap and perfect for short stay. No restaurant, you will have to buy your own food. 1st floor has some vending machines for drinks and free water

Staffs are very cordial makes you feel like home. Room size is a bit larger than other hotels. Free coffee and tea.
