Nice place for travellers who are staying a weekend.
Positive : The location was great. Easy access. The check in was an easy process. The WiFi was good and the facilities were stocked up with anything you'd need and very clean.
Negative : The pillow is the most uncomfortable I've ever used. It's filled with beads and really stiff/rigid. The wall between the girl dormitory and mixed dormitory has a little slit at the top that lets light in and any sound from either room can be heard in the next (but earplugs are provided)

Perfect choice for an affordable and clean Hostel near the main attraction. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff friendly, approachable and uncomplicated. Apart from the bed, there were also washing machines for use and a kitchen. Also there was a common living room, where you could chill, eat or chat, very homey armosphere.
I arrived at midday but could already check in. Just few minutes by walk from the atomic dome.

The entrance is up the steps (which is extremely inconvenient when you arrive with a suitcase), but the staff helped both lift and lower my suitcase. And overall the staff is very nice.

The bed is extremely uncomfortable to sleep in, especially if you are on the lower level. When the person above you moves during sleep, the sound of the bed and mattress is very loud and even earplugs do not help.

I was also confused by the fact that you have to pay separately for a change of bed linen and towels. I have not encountered this anywhere during my trip to Japan.

There is absolutely nowhere to put your things, because the corridor is littered with backpacks and suitcases.

But definitely the location is just wonderful.

It was only after we arrived that we realized that we were very close in walking distance to the main things you want to see when visiting Hiroshima. Also it's a short walk from the main Tram line ( No.6 and No.2 ), and there are a few local restaurants in the area to tempt you. The Hostel itself is very welcoming and supportive. Facilities are good and there is a healthy emphasis on hygiene.

Pro
- Location was great, 20 minutes via streetcar from station and 10 minutes from Peace Museum.
Quiet and safe.

Cons
- staff were unfriendly upon reception. Each time we walked from our room to the kitchen, we were not acknowledged and the atmosphere felt tense.
- there was only one table and couch in the common area. The majority of the time we were there, the staff were using this for laptops leaving us no room to sit. We ate one meal standing up in the kitchen/bathroom.
- bed: pillow was a sack of beans, rock hard and uncomfortable. The mattress was incredibly thin. The A/C in the room did not work effectively and the room still felt stuffy. There was barely any room for bags so people dumped them in the hallway.
- layout: toilet located in the kitchen so you can be cooking your food whilst someone uses the restroom 1m away. People were brushing their teeth in the kitchen. Only 2 toilets for the whole hostel. Overall cleanliness was disappointing with pink mould evident throughout.
- wasn't clear if there was a hot water tap for washing dishes.

Very nice place. Helpful and kind people staying here. Coffee is free 👍😁 Conveniently located near tourist sites and stores. Neighborhood is friendly.

This hostel is not close to Hiroshima train station, but well located to visit the city.
Kitchen is big, you can prepare your food.
Bathroom could be better.
Lockers are not available (like most of hostels in Japan).

A gem in Hiroshima. Close to the Atomic Bomb Dome and the city center, this hostel offers several utilities to its guests, including a large kitchen and cosy lounge. Homey atmosphere, along with fresh international vibes, is all over the place. Would totally recommend. Thumbs up to the owner Hazuki, bright and approachable lady!

Had the best experience while staying at Evergreen Hostel in Hiroshima. Hazuki, the owner, is the kindest and coolest person you’ll meet in Japan, and is always willing to help out and make your experience in Hiroshima better. I was able to meet tons of travelers from different places, and the lounge area allows for great chill time and conversations, which were a huge highlight from my time there. Would absolutely recommend to anyone interested.
