Perfect place to stay while discovering Obihiro. The bed space is just fit for a height around 1.78cm. It‘s a little short but you can fit in. A kettle in the room would be great though.

Sparkling clean although understand a reason for that is that you can’t cook here or even use their cutlery. They just supply some cups (though there is a kitchen sink on the top floor by the fridge).

This place doesn’t really have a lounge. A problem with sharing the ground floor lounge with a cafe is that when I’m sitting there a cafe waitress comes by expecting me to order something.

I caught a cold the day before, so I requested a cancellation as it was a shared-room hotel. However, I did not receive a refund.
I understand that it was my fault for canceling at such short notice, but I sent a message saying that I was canceling out of consideration for those around me, but they did not offer a free cancellation.
I stayed at a Dormy Inn. Would it have been better to stay in a dormitory-style room even if I had a cold?

I used a five-day pass for my trip to Shiretoko Five Lakes, Abashiri, and Kushiro-Obihiro in Hokkaido. Obihiro is just over a two-hour drive from Sapporo, offering easy access to Kushiro Marsh and convenient transportation to Sapporo and Noboribetsu. The convenience of a single-person stay was the key reason I chose Obihiro. One minor complaint was the mixed-gender bunk beds on the first floor, and the lack of signage for the restrooms and showers was a major drawback. Breakfast was served in the lobby downstairs, and there were very affordable izakayas nearby. Jr. Obihiro Station is about a 700-meter walk away, and there's a bus to Koufuku Station right in front of the station. I love the Japanese countryside; every spot offers unique scenery and delicious food.

Great value for money... 👍🏻 The bathrooms are super clean and well-maintained, and the staff are incredibly friendly! There's also a cafe/pub on the first floor, and bike rentals are available. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Obihiro!

The location is great because it's in front of the station. There's a convenience store right in front and many delicious restaurants nearby, so it was great.

The facilities were all right, and the bathrooms were clean and nice.

A stylish place to stop over in obihiro. The location is great as it's about a 3 min walk from obihiro station, making it a good place to stay if you're daytripping around Hokkaido from obihiro. I did a visit to Lake Shikaribetsu and it was very easy and convenient. There's also a konbini right outside and a number of great local restaurants very very nearby.

Its very quiet and there doesn't seem to be many foreigners there. I stayed in the shared female only dorm and the bathrooms and rooms were well-kept and clean. They provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash which was very kind.

There are probably cheaper hostels out there with a capsule style that would also do just fine, but I'm not unhappy with the price because the cafe and bar were a nice touch and the fireplace was good to warm up. It just had a good welcoming and stylish vibe, as well as kind and helpful staff.

There's a unique attraction of horse drawn carriage(Basha) bar tour departs here. The hotel has private room and shared dorm room with bunk beds. Guesthouse like hotel and there's the reception inside the cafe.

This was a super convenient spot to stay near the station. The hotel was very clean, the staff were helpful, and the room was perfectly adequate for one person on a short stay! They also had complimentary soup in the cost reception area.
On the roof, there’s a really nice view of downtown. I recommend getting a coffee and taking the stairs up there, even just for 5 minutes in the cold before checking out!
If I’m back in Obihiro I plan on staying here again!
