The lobby has a very upscale feel, but the rooms are quite ordinary with older facilities. It seems to primarily cater to people who come for skiing in the surrounding area. If you're not skiing, it's probably not worth the price.

A really nice hotel! They even had a talk about Asahiyama Zoo in the evening, though it was unfortunately only in Japanese. The welcome drinks were delicious, the service was excellent, and breakfast was especially tasty. Thumbs up!

Hotel lobby is big and the hotel staff is warm welcoming the guest, staff can speak English, onsen is good, free drink and ice cream is provided, can enjoy after onsen! But this hotel no parking, need park outside public parking with a short walking distance.

OMO7 Asahikawa’s location and room facilities were a pleasant surprise—quiet, clean, and an easy walk to the main shopping area. Special thanks to the front-desk team: they offered warm tea the moment they saw my elderly parent and patiently recommended nearby sights, making us feel instantly welcome. The rooftop onsen and breakfast spread also exceeded expectations, so we’d happily return. The only drawback was the rather brusque parking attendant, who insisted we leave the car in a distant spot even after noticing my parent’s limited mobility and didn’t offer any luggage help; a bit more considerate guidance there would make the experience perfect.

The hotel has a very immersive experience especially for families with young children. It is themed like the Asahiyama zoo. They also provide free shuttle bus service to the Asahiyama zoo. They have a public bath. Although I did not get to use the facilities, the hotel guests seemed to really enjoy it. It is located near the shopping street and walking distance to the Asahikawa Station. Behind the Asahikawa Station is a beautiful park and you can have lots of instagrammable photos taken there.
