Hotel Wing International Asahikawa Ekimae in Asahikawa

The room was a bit small, but clean and conveniently located. It's just a few minutes' walk to Jr, the bus to Asahikawa Zoo, the free snow park, and the supermarket.

The biggest plus of this hotel is its location, followed by decent service; everything else is quite average.

Upon entering the hotel, there's a strange formaldehyde-like smell (or maybe it's just my imagination?). The lighting throughout the hotel is generally dim, making everything feel a bit blurry.

The front desk staff were very experienced and had excellent attitudes. Even though I didn't arrive exactly at 3:00 PM, they allowed me to check in early and gave me a detailed introduction to the surrounding area.

Because it's right above the JR station, this hotel is an absolute must-book. It's incredibly convenient for getting to Biei, and you won't have to worry about missing your train.

If you're traveling solo without a very specific itinerary, I recommend staying here. You can easily spend your day shopping at Aeon and then head back to the hotel to unwind.

The hotel is pretty old but cosy. For the price point nothing to complain. Breakfast is good, just that this hotel doesn’t have any smoking point. Which we will need to go to JR station or Aeon Mall

The room isn't big, but that's typical for Japan. The location is incredibly convenient, right across from the train station, making it easy to get anywhere. There's an AEON supermarket directly opposite, which is great for shopping and souvenirs, and a shopping street with a drugstore right next door. The room itself was clean. The second picture is taken from the hotel room. There's a free ice rink in front of the station, and they even provide skates and helmets for free.

This is a fantastic hotel with excellent value for money. Don't be put off by the small lobby on the second floor when you first arrive. The room layout is well-designed, and they've clearly strived for perfection in every detail. I especially loved the bath powder and the dedicated scrubbing area. Surprisingly, it was the only room on my Kanto-Hokkaido trip where I could fully open my 29-inch suitcase! It's also super close to JR Sapporo Station's Exit 16, so no dragging luggage through the snow. While the Emion across the street is also great, for value, I highly recommend this hotel.

The room offered excellent value for money and was very close to Asahikawa Station. The lady at the front desk was particularly helpful and had a great attitude. I knew when I booked that the room wasn't huge, which was fine as I was traveling alone. Despite its size, it was fully equipped with everything I needed and very clean. I only stayed one night in Asahikawa as it was a stopover on my trip. When I checked out the next morning, I left my luggage at the front desk because I was heading to Biei and picked it up later that afternoon on my way back to Sapporo. I didn't take many photos of the room itself; most of them are on another phone that doesn't have Trip.com installed, so I just uploaded some random ones.

It was okay. I booked their best room, but it was only 18 square meters. Coming from Wakkanai, Asahikawa definitely felt much more bustling and crowded. We had yakiniku in Asahikawa and it cost 7000 for two people.

The room was great, very clean, and right across from JR Asahikawa Station – super convenient! The Japanese lady at the front desk was incredibly nice and spoke so gently. Absolutely worth it. The buffet had a wide variety of delicious food. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

Location is very convenient, aeon mall is just opposite and there is many food options nearby as well. Reccomended!only thing is the room is abit dusty maybe it's the aircon.
