KOKO HOTEL Asahikawa Station in Asahikawa

We had a fantastic stay at KOKO Hotel Asahikawa and would happily stay here again.

The location couldn’t be better. Our room overlooked Asahikawa Station, and there were so many excellent restaurants within walking distance that we were spoiled for choice every evening.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Being able to enjoy unlimited fish roe (ikura) and fresh ama-ebi was such a treat! Everything else on the buffet was delicious too, with a great variety of both local and Japanese dishes.

What truly made our stay memorable, though, was the exceptional service from Mr. Onodera. He was one of the most attentive hotel staff members we’ve ever met. During breakfast, he noticed that we preferred sitting in a brighter area and came over to let us know as soon as a suitable table became available—even though we hadn’t asked. Later, he saw that we looked a little cold and kindly brought us blankets without us saying a word. Those thoughtful gestures really touched us and made us feel genuinely cared for.

Hotels can have beautiful rooms and great food, but it’s people like Mr. Onodera who make guests want to come back. In our opinion, he deserves to be named Staff of the Year!

Rooms were quite small but the location, the hotel staff and most importantly the breakfast buffet made up for the lost points. There is no parking facilities provided by hotel but right beside hotel is an open air carpark which was 1200¥ overnight. There is parking at Aeon mall right opposite hotel which is linked to the main train station. There were many dining and coffee shopping options nearby.

Super close to the station, which made getting around really easy. The place was clean and conveniently located near plenty of stores, restaurants, and bus stops. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, a really convenient and comfortable place to stay.

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night with my friends. The staffs are helpful and friendly. Hotel is located in front of the JR station within 1 min walk. The room is tiny but beds are comfortable! Shopping mall and main area is near around. Parking beside the hotel cost ¥600 / 12 hrs. Staying here means you can enjoy the time in Asahikawa for sure. The great designed hotel is new furbished and clean. Highly recommended for everyone!

Location, location, location. The hotel is just a few steps away from the train station, next to a mall with excellent food court.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Wing International Asahikawa Ekimae last Friday and Saturday. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from Asahikawa Station, making it very convenient for getting around the city and accessing nearby shops and restaurants.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Despite being in a central area, it was quiet at night, allowing us to rest well after a full day of exploring.

The staff were polite, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, which we really appreciated.

Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free experience. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Asahikawa.

The hotel was just across the street from Asahikawa station and AEON, which was super convenient. Breakfast was really enjoyable and worth the add-on to the room price. Although room was a bit small, it was quaint and cozy. It was snowing the day after we arrived. The park behind the train station was really pretty!

Good location, room size is ok. Opposite there is a Aeon and JR station linked. Recommended for short stay

Unbeatable location just opposite JR Ashahikawa and directly opposite Aeon. Room lighting is dimmed, and size is rather small with 2 single beds. Central controlled air conditioner, and the window can only be opened a small gap so can be rather stuffy. Great buffet breakfast. Overall a 4/5.
