Overall, it's great in every aspect! The environment is quiet, and the location is not far from the city center; Arimada Street is within walking distance.

The room was a good size with mountain views. The hotel didn't have private bathrooms, but had a large public bath with seven different hot spring flavors, said to treat various ailments and insomnia. The hotel also offered complimentary gold or silver hot spring experiences. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to try the hotel's breakfast and dinner this time. Very good, suitable for staying. Cleanliness: Clean. Breakfast is early, so not suitable for sleeping in. The surrounding area is nice and you can hike.

The room was clean. I only stayed one night so I can't really comment on it. It's located up a steep hill from Arima Onsen Station.

I stayed here on my way back from the Expo. Although I didn't have dinner or breakfast, it was a very reasonable price, and the room was spacious and clean! I was very impressed. The Gin no Yu hot springs have many different types, which helped me relax after a tiring trip. I was also given a free ticket for Kin no Yu, which made me very satisfied. I would love to go again.

It was a beautiful hotel with a Showa-era feel. The room was also clean and I was very satisfied. I wish they had included meals.

Smile Hotel Kobe Motomachi

The bathtub wasn't very clean. Also, a cleaning staff member mistakenly opened the door while I was still in the room, even though I hadn't checked out yet. Mistakes happen, but it was a bit unsettling.

The room is clean, and most important is the location. Just walk around 2 minutes to motomachi station.

The room is small - there are no amenities other than a hairdryer... Everyone else has to use their own toiletries, so anyone booking a room should prepare everything in advance...

It was clean and the access was good, which was great! However, they don't have hair straighteners for rent.

The staff was very friendly. The room was adequate for a one-night stay. Breakfast was Western-style. You can add two slices of bread, so it's not too much, but if you prefer rice, it might not be enough. I wish the air conditioner and bath were a little cleaner.

Excellent value for money; highly recommended for road trips to Kobe and Himeji. The air conditioning cannot be turned off; during cold snaps, the room becomes like a refrigerator. In winter, you'll need to wear extra layers in the room.

It comes with a lock so you can go out whenever you want, which is a big plus!

A very nice hotel, located on a hill, with a wonderful view from our second-floor room. The room itself was spacious and very clean. The hotel offers several free visits to the gold and silver onsen, as well as plenty of disposable shampoos, towels, and other toiletries. There's a delicious steak restaurant on the ground floor. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to our friends!

Not a bad option, overall is okay for backpacker. But quite not friendly for those who are old and big body size because their bath room is quite small and the stair is quite dangerous.

The location is very convenient, just one stop from San Gong in the city center. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they even helped with luggage upstairs. The overall atmosphere was very satisfying, and the surrounding environment is pleasant and comfortable. Highly recommended! 👍

This cozy hostel is just a five-minute walk from Hakyu Ojiko Park Station! The information was clearly stated during check-in. There's also a 7-Eleven at the intersection for easy access to food, but be aware that the stairs inside the hostel are quite steep, so walk carefully. Overall, it was a very good experience! I would definitely stay here again!

Very close to a few of the hot springs, friendly staff and very nice rooms. The breakfast was an additional charge, it was very tasty! The rooms didn’t have showers/toilets but that didn’t matter to us as we had a bath already at the onsen.

Perfectly located in Arima between all the Onsen, this guesthouse is a true gem, with spotless amenities and with awesome Japanese style. The host couple are also amazingly hospitable, friendly and fun - the type that become friends overnight.

I can't recommend this place enough, the hosts are amazing, warm and welcoming ... had a great time staying here. The place is quite new, very clean and the location is just perfect ... very close to all the hot springs in town

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The owners are very cute couple. They spent time with us at the evening and I have delicious breakfast with them in the morning. Welcome drink is just one of many amazing things you get when you stay there.

Lovely couple who speak much better than average english will welcome you and make you feel at home in their guesthouse. Converted from typical Japanese home it feels very genuine.
