This resort hotel offers a fantastic view of the entire Kobe city. The buffet restaurant on the top floor is excellent, with delicious and abundant food, and the night view is absolutely stunning. It's an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers.
The location is very convenient, and it's easy to get to the airport.
Had a wonderful stay. The 30th-floor restaurant offers a fantastic view, breathtaking during the day and magical at night.
I was assigned a random room in the South Wing, which was very spacious and had a balcony, decorated in a French style with yellow and blue accents. The hotel has a very old-money feel with many artistic ornaments and paintings to admire. The shuttle bus was punctual and very convenient and pleasant.
The room was spacious and the facilities were business-oriented, typical of an older five-star hotel. While the decor felt a bit dated, it was very well-maintained, clean, and tidy. The 'mystery room' booking was a huge surprise; the price was amazing, probably a third of what it would normally cost.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of the Citizen's Plaza tram stop, making it very convenient to get to from Kobe Airport. You can also take the hotel's shuttle bus from downtown Kobe, which runs every 20 minutes and departs from Gate 8 on the first floor of MINT. The room is spacious and even has a small balcony. There are parks, IKEA, and supermarkets nearby, and it's not far from...

Considering the age of the hotel, it's actually quite well-maintained. The only minor issue is the bathroom is a bit small, making it hard to find space for toiletries. However, the view outside the window is absolutely fantastic; you can enjoy the panoramic scenery effortlessly morning, noon, and night.
Really best of the best, location (5 mins from shin kobe station, subways local trains to hotel, ropeway and herb gardens etc).  Best service upon check in, best food, best room.  No words to express my happiness during my stay in this hotel.
The room was clean and well maintained. The location was convenient, and the staff were very kind. I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel.
Good location can just take the lift down to subway and shinkansen. Great breakfast and room slightly bigger than normal.
The hotel is conveniently located right next to Shin-Kobe subway station, just one stop away from Sannomiya, the city center. However, that one subway stop costs 210 yen, which is quite a bit more expensive than what you'd pay back home. So, if you have some time, a pleasant 10-15 minute walk is a great alternative. The cable car for the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens is also right by the hotel, making...
The facilities are quite old, and the refrigerator hums too loudly. I had to turn it off at night to sleep. Luckily, after discussing it, I was able to store items needing refrigeration in the hotel's customer service fridge.

It was pretty good; I stayed here when I was attending a conference. The 7-Eleven right across from the hotel was very convenient. There are also direct public transport links to the Sannomiya area nearby, making it easy to get around. Overall, it's a good place.
Overall, the room was clean and spacious. The lighting could be dimmed, which was nice. The staff are kind and give a warm welcome. However, the room and carpet were a bit old, which is understandable given the property’s age. - Close to 7-Eleven - near Portliner station (can walk in 4-5 mins)
The location is nearby Kobe airport, port-island. Nearby Ikea - Kobe. The room is clean and comfortable to stay. I just had issue a bit with the AC. I stayed during autumn season, when I arrived the room is super hot and there is no AC. I complaint to the staff they said I need to open the window cause during autumn season they turn off the AC (central) and change it with heater. I understood about...
Clean hotel room, good facilities. Bed mattress was hard, which I liked. Pillow was too hard. As a pretty tall person I could not stand up straight in bathroom. Location is walking distance for business district, and close to public transport.
I chose this hotel because I had a conference at the convention centre not knowing I have limited choice of getting something to eat (looking for halal option). Despite the lacking, I was able to survive for 3 days as I had to commute the Portliner to get something to eat. The location was quite a distance towards the portliner station therefore you have to walk a bit with your luggage if you are coming...
Situated on a man-made island, the hotel is just about a five-minute walk from the light rail station, making it incredibly convenient for getting to the airport and Sannomiya. The room amenities were quite luxurious and very impressive. The staff were exceptionally friendly and incredibly thoughtful, always paying attention to guests' needs. Best of all, it offers excellent value for money. Highly...

Service attitude of staff is not good especially bell boy
The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and generous. The onsen was a new experience! Sheraton scrubbed up to what we expected. 5 stars!
The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area. The breakfast selection is good and I liked the good coffee and it was a bonus as they provided paper cup so you can consume your coffee in the comfort of your room. Will recommend friends to stay in this nice and clean hotel.
Only problem is breakfast.  In typical Japanese fashion, they make you wiatbevwn though there are plenty of seats.   If it's manpower problem, divert resources in the morning.  Wait can sometimes be an hour.  Ridiculous
Good location. Global standard customer service.
A bit out of the way to main attractions as it’s on Rokko island but the direct bus to the airport made it worthwhile. The breakfast was ok but seems to be always running out of food due to the high number of guests. In room service was decent but expensive. Onsite onsen was good but crowded!

Due to a change in plans, I booked this last minute. The hotel is 40 minutes away from Sannomiya subway station, so the travel time cost is quite high. The facilities are a bit old. The staff's attitude was okay.
Beyond amazing in every way. The staff was accommodating and I loved the laundry service that had my shirts pressed for me.
Hotel is quite old style but spacious. Breakfast is good. Carpark space is enough and there are many restaurants in the hotel building.
Great hotel that provides a huge room, amazing service, and a great breakfast. The only shortcoming is that it’s really far from the city centre. You will need to spend about 30 minutes on the train to go downtown.
Convenient for a business trip in Kobe. Very close to a main train station. There is a swimming pool available to hotel guests, but unfortunately, the information pertaining to the use of the pool was absent, so I did not bring a swim suit and was very disappointed. The information for this hotel should be updated to clarify what the facilities are and what the conditions are (e.g. obligatory swim...

Ample room space and working amenities. It's just a short walk from Amagasaki station and have plenty of convenience shops and restaurants around the area for a late night meal. The service of the hotel is really nice. It just a few stop to USJ and expo. If you are a budget traveler looking for cozy hotel in amagasaki, this must be a good one!
The room was a little dated, but there were no particular issues with using it. I don't think there was an option to select a check-in time on trip.com, but for some reason the hotel had set it to 18:00. As of 14:30, the room was not ready and I was unable to check in, so those who want to check in early should be aware of this. (My room was ready for me at 17:00)
Great experience with clean room, polite staff and grateful catering. Delicious breakfast make our journey fruitfully!

Room size is good. Vety comfortable.
Of course! Here's a polished and more considerate version of your review, while still conveying your concerns clearly: --- Our stay was okay overall, mainly because we only used the hotel to sleep. However, despite the hotel being advertised as non-smoking, the room had a strong smell of tobacco. This hotel is in a prime, bustling location in Kobe, surrounded by luxury brands downstairs, making it super convenient to get around. The room wasn't as old as I expected and was quite spacious. The 'harbor view' was pretty much non-existent though. Amenities and bedding were excellent. Interestingly, check-in is on the top floor, where all the restaurants are located too, and it gets quite busy with...
The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Kobe Station, and also close to the shopping street. I specifically came to check it out because Marilyn Monroe is said to have stayed here. Although the hotel is old, it's very well-maintained, which I really liked.
The rooms are a bit dated, but the overall service is great. The location is convenient, close to shopping and dining. The view from the hotel window is also fantastic. I'll definitely be back.
Great location and excellent service. The breakfast restaurant and the Teppanyaki restaurant upstairs are both delicious and highly recommended.
The “sea view” was very disappointing and honestly not what I expected at all when booking this room. What made the experience worse was the pricing issue. After my booking became non-refundable, the hotel price dropped by around 30%, which was shocking. I’ve never had this happen before. The explanation that the lower price was a different non-refundable rate doesn’t fully justify such a big drop...
Excellent stay! The service was very attentive, and the thoughtful little details in the room really made a difference.

Excellent hotel! The entire property has a wonderful old-world charm. The large terrace offers a beautiful view, and they even provide essential oils for an aromatherapy diffuser, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kobe.
The check in process is slow, inefficient, and not customer friendly. They ask you on the very first day of your arrival about the exact time of your breakfast and room cleaning, which is unreasonable and not thoughtful. English speaking ability of the staff is also very poor.
I came here for Kobe Marathon 2025 This hotel near the finish point Near anpanman museum A big shopping mall nearby Breakfast not that good
The hotel overall is good.   Service amd facility are all good.  Only one problem and I will never book this hotel again for this reason.   The hotel only has room service for breakfast.   And really don’t like it.   When I used this hotel 3 years ago, they restaurant for breakfast is really wonderful.   Unfortunately, now it is only open for lunch.
Nice location and the room is large. The staff is so friendly. If the hotel can provide buffet for breakfast it would be great

Excellent hotel, all facilities are very well maintained. It has that classic old-money vibe, very high-class.
Both the service and facilities at this hotel are top-notch. The location is also excellent. Anyone who enjoys hot springs should definitely give it a try!
Absolutely amazing, especially for a family trip! This is definitely my kid's favorite hotel ever. The room was huge and incredibly clean. The service was impeccable, with attention to every detail – from helping with luggage the moment we arrived, it was full concierge service. The hot springs were also excellent. Highly recommend!
The hotel and rooms were exceptionally clean. The in-room amenities were complete and of high quality, and the hot springs were wonderfully relaxing with few people in the evenings. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary beverages, and the Kaiseki dinner was superb! The hotel is located upstream in the town, perfect for a relaxing getaway. It's an easy walk in and out if you have normal mobility...
Very satisfied with the hotel service and all. I want to visit again.
Great hotel. Nice onsen facilities with a choice of rooftop location or ground floor nature garden location. The details that this hotel offers is exceptional compared to two other ones I have attended so far. The two stringed friddle with piano show at night was an extra bonus. Bottom line we love this hotel.

The room was spacious and there was a spa, so I enjoyed a relaxing bath. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
I always stay here when I'm in Kobe. Perhaps it's because the facilities are new, but they're clean and I always enjoy my stay. There's also a convenience store next door, so I don't think you'll have any inconveniences.
The room smelled nice when I entered, which I really liked. The room was on the west side, so the view was great.
The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was delicious and had a great view, but it was far from the station. Also, there were tea bags for tea and black tea at the amenity selection area, and there was a kettle in the room, but no bottled water. It was the first time I'd stayed in a hotel without water in the room. Other than that, it was great.
There is nothing on the island, you can only take a taxi to the other side. But the service is very good, the room is clean, but it is too small and the price is a bit expensive
I stayed here the day before Seventeen's fan meet! It was easy to access from Nakakoen Station, the rooms were clean, there were plenty of amenities, the bath was open 24 hours a day, and there was a sauna too!! I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance!

I then I finally move everything upward to the hotel lobby then was told: I COULD CALL HOTEL TO SEND FREE SHUTTLE BUS TO SEND US UP TO THE HOTEL For free!!! Did not stay but used Onsen + lunch package. Onsen was one of the best in my life in Japan. I could use 1の湯 and 3の湯 all alone. Could not believe I was the only person using this onsen at that time. My body and mind both could be relaxed and refreshed. Food was also very nice. Next time I would love to stay a night.
The spot was super central. The staff were really nice. The hotel has this old-school charm, even if it's a bit dated, but they keep it up well. I loved their onsens, both inside and out. They even switch them daily so you get different views. Plus, you can get a private onsen for a bit extra.
We stayed at the west block which offers a nice view of the town. The public onsen are the big highlights together with the kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast. The hotel has a long history so the building does have a slightly dated feeling to it and it's a huge hotel (with multiple blocks and floors) so might not offer a cozy feeling.
Wow. Wow. Wow! This was the most magical experience of our entire Japan trip. We did the Kobe dinner in our room and had access to both the public onsen and booked a private one. It was so good! I'll definitely be coming here every winter.
The exterior is castle-style, while the interior is more traditional Japanese style. The plaza lighting is beautiful, but hotel guests don't get any discounts! The hot spring bath is unique, but it's a bit rushed by 11 pm!
The hotel has a considerable history. Situated high in the mountains, the air is pleasant. The Japanese-style rooms are excellent, and the balconies are nice. It has all the necessary amenities for a holiday. The onsen is really good, with many indoor and outdoor baths. Because it's an old and large hotel, there are certainly some areas that could be improved. But overall, it's still acceptable considering...
Very friendly for children. However, The place is often fully booked.
This hotel is recommended for family trips. While the entire building exudes a sense of history, both the exterior and interior are extremely luxurious, and the grounds are used lavishly. The hotel's abundant use of natural stone, particularly within the building, and its on-site wedding venue, highlight its former luxury status. While the hotel shows signs of age, it is well-maintained and clean....
This is a family-friendly facility with a spa with hot springs of the same quality as Arima Onsen. However, the hot springs are only in the open-air baths, and the other baths are not hot springs. The hotel has a great location and is very convenient for getting around. The rooms are very clean, although they are a little small for three people. The hot spring is very nice. :) Thankful for the hotel shuttle service as the hotel is located after a really steep slope. Both onsen in hotel and the next building are good and clean. :( Amenities didn't include facial cleanser and milk lotion. The pillows are too hard for me. This is the first time visited Arima Osen. The experience was great. The location of this hotel is ok. If you go to the Main Street from hotel it takes around 5mins. But the pathway is a bit beveled. Other than that, the onsen in hotel were really good. You can try different kinds of onsen. I enjoyed the public bath! The staff were nice too.
This stay was in a Japanese-style room. The layout was conventional, not very spacious, and a bit dated, but the cleanliness was good. The hotel has an overall old and dated feel, and many of the facilities are showing signs of age. The bedding was clean, though we did notice one or two small bugs, possibly due to the hotel being close to the forest. The Yukata were also quite worn. The room was slightly different from the pictures, but it didn't affect our stay. The surroundings were truly beautiful, especially the colorful autumn mountain scenery right next to the hotel.
