Kobe Portopia Hotel, Kobe1 / 30

Kobe, 10-1, 6 Chome Minatojima Nakamachi Chuo-ku (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
This resort hotel offers a fantastic view of the entire Kobe city. The buffet restaurant on the top floor is excellent, with delicious and abundant food, and the night view is absolutely stunning. It's an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers.
The location is very convenient, and it's easy to get to the airport.
Had a wonderful stay. The 30th-floor restaurant offers a fantastic view, breathtaking during the day and magical at night.
I was assigned a random room in the South Wing, which was very spacious and had a balcony, decorated in a French style with yellow and blue accents. The hotel has a very old-money feel with many artistic ornaments and paintings to admire. The shuttle bus was punctual and very convenient and pleasant.
The room was spacious and the facilities were business-oriented, typical of an older five-star hotel. While the decor felt a bit dated, it was very well-maintained, clean, and tidy. The 'mystery room' booking was a huge surprise; the price was amazing, probably a third of what it would normally cost.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of the Citizen's Plaza tram stop, making it very convenient to get to from Kobe Airport. You can also take the hotel's shuttle bus from downtown Kobe, which runs every 20 minutes and departs from Gate 8 on the first floor of MINT. The room is spacious and even has a small balcony. There are parks, IKEA, and supermarkets nearby, and it's not far from...

Kobe, 2-1 Hatoba-cho (in the centre) 🧭 Map
This time, I was assigned a room on the 29th floor with a mountain view, which I think offers the most beautiful scenery! What truly impresses you about Hotel Okura isn't just the hardware (though it's excellent), but the service! That kind of 'proactive' service awareness means they've already anticipated your needs and processes before you even speak. Someone greets you at the entrance, guides you...
Although it's an older hotel, the rooms and hallways were spotless and tidy. The room itself was incredibly spacious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated. I particularly loved the hotel's design aesthetic; every detail exuded a Japanese retro elegance, making for a truly wonderful experience. While the hotel's location is a bit further from...
Room is excellent, view is excellent. Can taste Kobe beef, very nice. Near Unie with many restaurants
Great hotel with good location. Everything is excellent. Enjoyed my stay and will book again
Nice hotel location with very nice view of the Kobe Tower and ocean Very easy access to shops and restaurants
The hotel is old yet classic. Everything is in general well maintained, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel may not be so accessible compared with those in Sannomiya, but the hotel offers shuttle bus to Sannomiya daily and Shin-Kobe on weekends. It helps you get around and go to the train stations. However, do note that the bus may be full sometimes. But even so or if you miss the...

Kobe, 5-6 Hatobacho (in the centre) 🧭 Map
nice view, comfortable, calm, good shuttle bus service,
The hotel interior is quite new. They offer a shuttle service, which is shared with the Okura Hotel. It's a small bus, with half the seats allocated to the Oriental and half to the Okura. If it's busy, you need to get in line early or you won't get a seat. My room had a view of the Ferris wheel. Overall, it was very good.
The sea view room offers an unbeatable view, with the Ferris wheel and Kobe Port Tower all visible. The room is spacious and very clean, with a balcony where you can watch both sunrise and sunset. The hotel's breakfast is highly recommended, with a wide variety of Japanese and American options, including freshly made mini-burgers – definitely give them a try!
The room and balcony are both quite spacious. It faces the sea and the hygiene is excellent. Both in terms of location and room quality, it feels like the best hotel in Kobe. The hotel lobby and exterior are also very beautiful. It's definitely worth staying here.
An iconic landmark by the harbor! From the balcony, you can even see the queue of people taking pictures in front of 'Be Kobe.' Although there's no subway nearby, the shuttle bus to Sannomiya runs roughly three times an hour. The rooms are spacious, and the pajamas are very comfortable.
Unbeatable views! The room layout felt a bit dated, but the higher-priced rooms are newly renovated, and breakfast was amazing.

Service attitude of staff is not good especially bell boy
The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and generous. The onsen was a new experience! Sheraton scrubbed up to what we expected. 5 stars!
The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area. The breakfast selection is good and I liked the good coffee and it was a bonus as they provided paper cup so you can consume your coffee in the comfort of your room. Will recommend friends to stay in this nice and clean hotel.
Only problem is breakfast.  In typical Japanese fashion, they make you wiatbevwn though there are plenty of seats.   If it's manpower problem, divert resources in the morning.  Wait can sometimes be an hour.  Ridiculous
Good location. Global standard customer service.
A bit out of the way to main attractions as it’s on Rokko island but the direct bus to the airport made it worthwhile. The breakfast was ok but seems to be always running out of food due to the high number of guests. In room service was decent but expensive. Onsite onsen was good but crowded!

Very satisfied. The location is super convenient, and the environment is comfortable. The room size was perfect for one person. A pleasant experience overall!
Very good hotel in service, location, cleaniness, amenitirs, it locates at the center of samnoniya station
Great to stay beside the scenery
The staff were all very friendly, and the view was also excellent with great facilities. The only downside was that the hotel room was too small; once you opened a suitcase, it was impossible to move around, especially with two suitcases, which was quite a hassle. Downstairs, there's a subway station and a shopping street, which is very convenient, but it can also be quite noisy due to the subway.
no coin laundry is a slight inconvenient. location is great with a large supermarket with eating area right at the station basement below. near cafes and eateries
Convenient location, with a spacious room. Comfy stay overall! Will consider returning to this hotel again.

Fantastic location, and the front desk offers a great selection of toiletries. My only minor complaint is that the hallway was a bit narrow when opening my suitcase. Otherwise, no real downsides. It's also great value for money. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.
This was the last hotel we stayed at during our trip to Japan, and it exceeded my expectations. It offered great value for money, and the surrounding transportation was incredibly convenient. The location was very easy to find, with a shopping street just across the road and plenty of good food options nearby. Although the room was a bit small, it was very clean and had all the necessary amenities...
Service: Great service! You can even order room service, like the BBQ pork rice. Amenities: Very comprehensive, everything you'd typically want in a room is there. It's also super close to the convention center, so you can easily walk there and back. Cleanliness: The comforter had a slight oily smell, hmm, but it's acceptable. Overall, it's a pretty good value for money hotel.
Highly recommend the Daiwa Roynet Kobe-Sannomiya! The hotel is brand new and spotless. The twin room was spacious, and the beds could be combined, offering excellent value for comfort. The surrounding city architecture is stunning, making it a much more pleasant stay than being right in the bustling Sannomiya Station area.

The service of the hotel is really nice. It just a few stop to USJ and expo. If you are a budget traveler looking for cozy hotel in amagasaki, this must be a good one!
The room was a little dated, but there were no particular issues with using it. I don't think there was an option to select a check-in time on trip.com, but for some reason the hotel had set it to 18:00. As of 14:30, the room was not ready and I was unable to check in, so those who want to check in early should be aware of this. (My room was ready for me at 17:00)

Compared to Kyoto, the Monterey in Kobe offers much better service. Sona is quite small, and lately, there's been too much of a Korean presence there. Although the hotel is a short walk from the station, it's still easy to find. There is indeed a red-light district nearby, making it a bit noisy and messy (though understandable). The room layout is reasonable, the TV supports screen mirroring, and the...
Getting to the hotel from Osaka Airport was quite convenient. We took a bus from stop 6 to Sannomiya, Kobe, and it was about a seven-minute walk from there. A one-way ticket was 2200 yen, and a round-trip was 3700 yen, so we opted for the round-trip. The hotel is located near Ikuta Shrine, which made it very easy to find with navigation. It’s an older hotel with a Western architectural style, and the...
Excellent location, just a five-minute walk from the JR station. Lots of great food options nearby. The hotel service is nice, and they offer free self-service drinks. The room is spacious, and there's a private hot spring bath, which is a big plus for privacy. You need a key card to access your floor.
Good location. Very accessible to food and shopping by walking. Room is big and quiet. Have parking bay.
Kobe is a beautiful city, and I've stayed at several Hotel Monterreys in Japan, all of which have been great. This one also has a good location.
The room was spacious! Although a bit old, it was very clean. Check-in was at 3 PM, and we were able to store our luggage in advance. The only minor inconvenience was an uphill walk to the hotel. Out of the three hotels we stayed at, I'd recommend this one. It's close to the main street, and especially nice to have a clean public hot spring bath – it was really relaxing.

The hotel boasts an excellent location and generously sized rooms. · We particularly enjoyed the great onsen located on the top floor. · The service from the front desk staff was exceptional.
The changing and locker area of the men skyspa is quite small and rather crowded during peak times.
everything is average...price is acceptable...may come again.
The room was excellent. It's rare to find hotels with sofas in Japan, and the breakfast was superb. You can even choose your own breakfast time. It's only 230 meters to the station, and there's a shopping street right outside the door. Plus, it's a pleasant 20-minute walk to the beach in the evening.
The air conditioning in the corner room on the 9th floor had a strange, intermittent loud gurgling sound. However, I was so tired from sightseeing that I slept soundly, so it didn't really affect my sleep much. People who are light sleepers should be aware of this. Everything else was perfectly fine though!
I've stayed at Candeo Hotels several times across Japan before. Candeo Hotels always have excellent locations. The Candeo Kobe this time was also in a great spot, making it convenient to get anywhere in Kobe. What I love most about Candeo Hotels is that they all have rooftop onsens for bathing. Basically, you can do all your showering and bathing upstairs, so the bathroom in the room is largely unnecessary...

Absolutely amazing, especially for a family trip! This is definitely my kid's favorite hotel ever. The room was huge and incredibly clean. The service was impeccable, with attention to every detail – from helping with luggage the moment we arrived, it was full concierge service. The hot springs were also excellent. Highly recommend!
The hotel and rooms were exceptionally clean. The in-room amenities were complete and of high quality, and the hot springs were wonderfully relaxing with few people in the evenings. Great hotel. Nice onsen facilities with a choice of rooftop location or ground floor nature garden location. Did not stay but used Onsen + lunch package. Onsen was one of the best in my life in Japan. I could use 1の湯 and 3の湯 all alone. Could not believe I was the only person using this onsen at that time. My body and mind both could be relaxed and refreshed. Food was also very nice. Next time I would love to stay a night.
The spot was super central. The staff were really nice. The hotel has this old-school charm, even if it's a bit dated, but they keep it up well. I loved their onsens, both inside and out. They even switch them daily so you get different views. Plus, you can get a private onsen for a bit extra.
We stayed at the west block which offers a nice view of the town. The public onsen are the big highlights together with the kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast. The hotel has a long history so the building does have a slightly dated feeling to it and it's a huge hotel (with multiple blocks and floors) so might not offer a cozy feeling.
Wow. Wow. Wow! This was the most magical experience of our entire Japan trip. We did the Kobe dinner in our room and had access to both the public onsen and booked a private one. The exterior is castle-style, while the interior is more traditional Japanese style. The plaza lighting is beautiful, but hotel guests don't get any discounts! The hot spring bath is unique, but it's a bit rushed by 11 pm!
The hotel has a considerable history. Situated high in the mountains, the air is pleasant. The Japanese-style rooms are excellent, and the balconies are nice. Because it's an old and large hotel, there are certainly some areas that could be improved. But overall, it's still acceptable considering...
Very friendly for children. However, The place is often fully booked.
This hotel is recommended for family trips. While the entire building exudes a sense of history, both the exterior and interior are extremely luxurious, and the grounds are used lavishly. EV friendly as they have free charging stations (bring your charger. Tesla doesn't need it as they have one for Tesla). "The most delicious breakfast" sounds true as they serve homemade food, using local ingredients. The breakfast is well balanced and nutritional (in my opinion).
