Kobe Portopia Hotel, Kobe1 / 30
9.0
Kobe, 10-1, 6 Chome Minatojima Nakamachi Chuo-ku (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
This resort hotel offers a fantastic view of the entire Kobe city. The buffet restaurant on the top floor is excellent, with delicious and abundant food, and the night view is absolutely stunning
The room was spacious and the facilities were business-oriented, typical of an older five-star hotel. While the decor felt a bit dated, it was very well-maintained, clean, and tidy
The hotel has a very old-money feel with many artistic ornaments and paintings to admire. The shuttle bus was punctual and very convenient and pleasant
I was assigned a random room in the South Wing, which was very spacious and had a balcony, decorated in a French style with yellow and blue accents
The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of the Citizen's Plaza tram stop, making it very convenient to get to from Kobe Airport
The 'mystery room' booking was a huge surprise; the price was amazing, probably a third of what it would normally cost

Kobe, 1-Chome, Kitano-cho, Chuo-ku (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
However, that one subway stop costs 210 yen, which is quite a bit more expensive than what you'd pay back home. So, if you have some time, a pleasant 10-15 minute walk is a great alternative
Really best of the best, location (5 mins from shin kobe station, subways local trains to hotel, ropeway and herb gardens etc).  Best service upon check in, best food, best room
The room was clean and well maintained. The location was convenient, and the staff were very kind. I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located right next to Shin-Kobe subway station, just one stop away from Sannomiya, the city center
Good location can just take the lift down to subway and shinkansen. Great breakfast and room slightly bigger than normal.
No words to express my happiness during my stay in this hotel

Hotel Okura Kobe, Kobe1 / 30
9.2
Kobe, 2-1 Hatoba-cho (in the centre) 🧭 Map
This time, I was assigned a room on the 29th floor with a mountain view, which I think offers the most beautiful scenery! What truly impresses you about Hotel Okura isn't just the hardware (though it's excellent), but the service! That kind of 'proactive' service awareness means they've already anticipated your needs and processes before you even speak
Especially that feeling of 'settling in comfortably' is something trendy influencer hotels can't match, even though the Okura has become quite popular itself 😝. But it still holds up to repeated stays and contemplation
Although it's an older hotel, the rooms and hallways were spotless and tidy. The room itself was incredibly spacious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated
' The staff don't overdo it, but they're always there when you need them, and they never disturb you when you don't. The phrase 'subtle yet pervasive' perfectly describes this hotel
While the hotel's location is a bit further from Sannomiya, it's conveniently close to Kobe Port, Coast Building, and Motomachi Street, making it a great option for a short stay
From the moment you walk in, you can clearly feel their dedication to making guests feel at home during the often-frazzling 'arrival to room' period

Kobe, 7-5-1 Nakamachi Minatojima (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is nearby Kobe airport, port-island. The room is clean and comfortable to stay. I just had issue a bit with the AC. I stayed during autumn season, when I arrived the room is super hot and there is no AC
The room amenities were quite luxurious and very impressive. The staff were exceptionally friendly and incredibly thoughtful, always paying attention to guests' needs. Best of all, it offers excellent value for money
There are also direct public transport links to the Sannomiya area nearby, making it easy to get around
The location was quite a distance towards the portliner station therefore you have to walk a bit with your luggage if you are coming using public transport. The hotel surrounding is quiet
I understood about it, but they didnt put on the property information when I booked the hotel. They lend me a fan, but I need to sleep with the sound from outside cause the window opened
Situated on a man-made island, the hotel is just about a five-minute walk from the light rail station, making it incredibly convenient for getting to the airport and Sannomiya

Kobe, 5-6 Hatobacho (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The sea view room offers an unbeatable view, with the Ferris wheel and Kobe Port Tower all visible. The room is spacious and very clean, with a balcony where you can watch both sunrise and sunset
The room and balcony are both quite spacious. It faces the sea and the hygiene is excellent. Both in terms of location and room quality, it feels like the best hotel in Kobe
The hotel's breakfast is highly recommended, with a wide variety of Japanese and American options, including freshly made mini-burgers – definitely give them a try!
' Although there's no subway nearby, the shuttle bus to Sannomiya runs roughly three times an hour. The rooms are spacious, and the pajamas are very comfortable
It's been a while since I got back from my trip, but thinking back about the Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland, it definitely has its unique charm
Unbeatable views! The room layout felt a bit dated, but the higher-priced rooms are newly renovated, and breakfast was amazing.

Kobe, 2-13 Kouyoucho-naka (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and generous. The onsen was a new experience! Sheraton scrubbed up to what we expected. 5 stars!
The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area. The breakfast selection is good and I liked the good coffee and it was a bonus as they provided paper cup so you can consume your coffee in the comfort of your room
A bit out of the way to main attractions as it’s on Rokko island but the direct bus to the airport made it worthwhile. The breakfast was ok but seems to be always running out of food due to the high number of guests
Nice and large room with decent view. Location is a little further from Sannomiya and requires to transfer to Rokko Liner. Overall, good stay.
In room service was decent but expensive. Onsite onsen was good but crowded!
Will recommend friends to stay in this nice and clean hotel

Miyako Hotel Amagasaki, Amagasaki1 / 30
8.2
Amagasaki, 2-7-1, Showa-dori (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The single room had a big bed, and enough lights that isn't blindingly bright. Heated toilet seats with a bidet and bathtub. The small downside is that it faces the local fire station
The service of the hotel is really nice. It just a few stop to USJ and expo. If you are a budget traveler looking for cozy hotel in amagasaki, this must be a good one!
I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel for 4 days. The hotel was better than expected. The room was large enough for luggage
Great experience with clean room, polite staff and grateful catering. Delicious breakfast make our journey fruitfully!
Great hotel for both couple and families.. maybe a little pricey for solo travel unless you want to splurge
Sometimes the alarms may blast at unexpected times. Breakfast was a little repetitive, but great regardless

Don Quijote is just a short walk away, and it's very convenient to get to Sannomiya Station and Kitano Ijinkan (home to the famous 'Life Toast' and the 70-year-old coffee shop), all within walking distance
The breakfast selection is rich and delicious, with the bread being a pleasant surprise. On a side note, you should definitely avoid the Monterey in Kyoto
Their unfriendliness towards Chinese guests is blatant, especially from the middle-aged Japanese female receptionist! She denied us available rooms unless we insisted and argued on the spot
The room layout is reasonable, the TV supports screen mirroring, and the toiletries are generously provided, with the DHC lotion being particularly good
Very convenient location, just a short walk from Sannomiya Station, with convenience stores and Don Quijote nearby. The hotel has a great bath, perfect for relaxing. The style is European, and the bed is comfortable
Compared to Kyoto, the Monterey in Kobe offers much better service. Sona is quite small, and lately, there's been too much of a Korean presence there

The front desk staff could communicate in English, and they even offered free breakfast, which was a nice touch. I recommend asking the hotel in advance for a room with a nice view, otherwise, you might end up like me
It's rare to find hotels with sofas in Japan, and the breakfast was superb. You can even choose your own breakfast time. It's only 230 meters to the station, and there's a shopping street right outside the door
The air conditioning in the corner room on the 9th floor had a strange, intermittent loud gurgling sound. However, I was so tired from sightseeing that I slept soundly, so it didn't really affect my sleep much
I've stayed at Candeo Hotels several times across Japan before. Candeo Hotels always have excellent locations. The Candeo Kobe this time was also in a great spot, making it convenient to get anywhere in Kobe
Great location, close to the station and shopping malls. Most importantly, there are so many delicious food options nearby. Plus, there's a hot spring on the top floor and a fully automatic washer-dryer
What I love most about Candeo Hotels is that they all have rooftop onsens for bathing. Basically, you can do all your showering and bathing upstairs, so the bathroom in the room is largely unnecessary

Kobe, 5-6-3 Kojidai, Nishi-ku (15 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Delicious food and good service.
Due to a change in plans, I booked this last minute. The hotel is 40 minutes away from Sannomiya subway station, so the travel time cost is quite high. The facilities are a bit old. The staff's attitude was okay.
There is a swimming pool available to hotel guests, but unfortunately, the information pertaining to the use of the pool was absent, so I did not bring a swim suit and was very disappointed
The information for this hotel should be updated to clarify what the facilities are and what the conditions are (e. obligatory swim cap, use of room towels etc)
Beyond amazing in every way. The staff was accommodating and I loved the laundry service that had my shirts pressed for me.
Great little hotel conveniently located within a short walk of the train station. I would highly recommend.

Clean and new building and rooms. Just in front of Hanshin Amagasaki station. Furthermore, breakfast buffet is perfect, we can cover almost all necessity to our nutritious demand. But desk is not in guest room.
I recommend it. It was Ebisu Day, so I couldn't get a taxi, but they called one for me. They have separate smoking and non-smoking rooms, and I asked for a smoking room close to the elevator, and they obliged.
The room is a typical Japanese hotel room, small but has everything you'd need, and very, very clean. Check-in was smooth, and there's coffee in the reception area, which is on the first floor
The room was clean and the bed was a semi-double single room, making it a perfect family trip without any worries. Thank you very much. I would like to stay with you again when I travel.
The hotel is located right across the train station square with convenience stores and restaurants around, a perfect location
WiFi worked great, also for streaming. I'd definitely go here again if I wanted to stay in the Osaka area

Kobe, 6-1 Hatobacho, Chuo, 650-0042 Kobe, Prefektura Hyogo, Yaponiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Hotel itself is ok with up to standard service from hotel staff, room size is typical Japanese budget hotel & acceptable based on Japanese hotel standard, have complimentary hot spring with 2 pools and 10 washing space in such standard and room rate is good enough
Location also ok with only 3 minutes walking distance to the nearest metro station. The only area not feeling good is the public area walkway, lift from hotel to metro with rubbish that no one to clean for 2 days
The reception staff are very kind and polite. There is a hot spring and it is very healing. Conveniently, the parking lot doesn't have a height limit, but it costs 2,000 yen, so you should check the layout carefully
Love their hot spring in the Kobe city and providing great selection of breakfast buffet, definitely worth the value
From the station the distance is there, but the transfer is 30 minutes and there it was. Comfort of hot water, and its maintenance. Breakfast is also excellent,sweet..
Generally clean and well maintained except for several corners in 3rd floor. Service and amenities were excellent.

Nice stay, i like the dinner and breakfast buffet, very nice hot spring als
The hot spring is really big, and you can enjoy both the upstairs and downstairs pools for free. There's a shuttle bus to Sannomiya Station. The room views are absolutely stunning, perfect for couples
The hotel's design reflects a refined minimalistic luxury, creating an elegant and calming environment. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a blend of comfort and traditional Japanese hospitality
The room was spacious and comfortable, providing a serene atmosphere for relaxation. The onsen facilities, along with the provided Japanese bath suits and slippers, added a delightful touch to the experience
The breakfast buffet featured a variety of healthy Japanese options, which I found both satisfying and nourishing. Additionally, the view of Kobe Tower from my room was a charming highlight

Kobe, 1304-1, Arima-cho, Kita-ku (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel and rooms were exceptionally clean. The in-room amenities were complete and of high quality, and the hot springs were wonderfully relaxing with few people in the evenings
Nice onsen facilities with a choice of rooftop location or ground floor nature garden location. The details that this hotel offers is exceptional compared to two other ones I have attended so far
The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering a very comfortable environment. Both the outdoor and indoor public baths feature the famous Kinsen (golden) and Ginsen (silver) hot springs
The service was impeccable, with attention to every detail – from helping with luggage the moment we arrived, it was full concierge service. The hot springs were also excellent
The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary beverages, and the Kaiseki dinner was superb! The hotel is located upstream in the town, perfect for a relaxing getaway

Did not stay but used Onsen + lunch package. Onsen was one of the best in my life in Japan. I could use 1の湯 and 3の湯 all alone. Could not believe I was the only person using this onsen at that time
Make sure to let them know any dietary restrictions or allergies ahead of time! It is very limited on English speaking so make sure to have your translation app and make sure to follow all the rules! Again: a very magical experience!
The hotel has this old-school charm, even if it's a bit dated, but they keep it up well. I loved their onsens, both inside and out. They even switch them daily so you get different views
The hotel has a long history so the building does have a slightly dated feeling to it and it's a huge hotel (with multiple blocks and floors) so might not offer a cozy feeling
Wow! This was the most magical experience of our entire Japan trip. We did the Kobe dinner in our room and had access to both the public onsen and booked a private one
We stayed at the west block which offers a nice view of the town. The public onsen are the big highlights together with the kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast

The hot spring, however, only had one pool, but the experience was still decent! It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel from the cable car station, and also about a 10-minute walk to the town
Extremely Perfect and Excellent. Location, hygienes, room, private onsen, public onsen, dinner, breakfast, and the staff, everything was in place perfectly. Deserve to get 5 stars rating resort.
Food quality and choices are fantastic. Staff service is very good and can communicate well in English. One minor drawback is that the spa pool is too small for too many hotel guests
A bit pricey, but the quality is top-notch. You can also enjoy a Kaiseki meal, and the hot springs are incredibly relaxing
It's perfect for families to enjoy the ambiance, and the service and environment are both excellent

The hotel has a considerable history. Situated high in the mountains, the air is pleasant. The Japanese-style rooms are excellent, and the balconies are nice. It has all the necessary amenities for a holiday
The onsen is really good, with many indoor and outdoor baths. Because it's an old and large hotel, there are certainly some areas that could be improved
But overall, it's still acceptable considering the price and the quality of service
It was so good! I'll definitely be coming here every winter.
Breakfast offered a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes, a wide variety of drinks, and homemade dishes like scrambled eggs and simmered pumpkin. We were very satisfied with both the variety and the taste
The hot spring water is rich and contains a high amount of iron, making it impossible to see the bottom of the tub, and the iron solidifies outside the bathtub. It was a memorable experience for hot spring lovers

Due to rain, my original plan to take a bus from Tenkakubashi to Sannomiya Station to transfer to the Osaka Saikan Airport Bus had to be changed, as there was no shelter from the rain at the Tenkakubashi bus station
There's also a complimentary drink and cookie area on the first floor, and a happy hour with alcoholic beverages in the evening. One private bath is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis
This was my third time visiting Arima Onsen. This time, I took the express bus from Sannomiya Bus Station in Kobe. The hotel is a 300-meter walk from Taikobashi Bus Station. The hotel doesn't accept children
The hotel location is excellent—right next to the express bus stop, so it’s very convenient if you take the express bus from Namba Osaka. The meals provided by the hotel were good, especially the breakfast
There was a ticket machine near the boarding point; the fare was 2200 yen, and the journey to Kansai Terminal 1 took 1 hour and 5 minutes. The total travel time from Yuma to Kansai was over 2 hours
It's not new, but well-maintained. The rooms are quite large, and there are complimentary drinks in the mini-fridge. Breakfast and dinner are both available, with two main courses

Accommodation is super convenient- comes with different types of sauna and onsen, and restaurants inside the hotel! The staff will set up futon in our room- affordable option for those who are looking for a ryokan experience
:) Thankful for the hotel shuttle service as the hotel is located after a really steep slope. Both onsen in hotel and the next building are good and clean. :( Amenities didn't include facial cleanser and milk lotion
This is the first time visited Arima Osen. The location of this hotel is ok. If you go to the Main Street from hotel it takes around 5mins. But the pathway is a bit beveled
Other than that, the onsen in hotel were really good. You can try different kinds of onsen. I enjoyed the public bath! The staff were nice too
The bathhouse is divided into public and guest-only sections: the public bath on the 2nd-3rd floors doesn't provide towels but has lockers; the guest-only bath on the GF floor offers hand towels but no lockers, so it's advisable not to bring valuables
The hotel has an overall old and dated feel, and many of the facilities are showing signs of age. The bedding was clean, though we did notice one or two small bugs, possibly due to the hotel being close to the forest

Kobe, 1296 Arima-cho (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is conveniently located, only 2 minute walk from the bus stop on the main street of Arima. I believe it could be the oldest hotel within the area, judging from the deco
And yet it provides the environment and the atmosphere that we like from an onsen hotel. The onsen on the top floor is medium in size, and providing both gold and silver hot spa that are both famous in the place
The price included both breakfast and dinner, and the meals were very traditional Japanese; some dishes were delicious, while others weren't quite to my taste
Chinese-speaking staff at check-in and during meals were a definite plus. This hotel offers great value for money, with spacious榻榻米 rooms
Location is very near train station. Dinner and breakfast are good, especially Dinner food are more than enough. Onsen are good.
