Considering the age of the hotel, it's actually quite well-maintained. The only minor issue is the bathroom is a bit small, making it hard to find space for toiletries. However, the view outside the window is absolutely fantastic; you can enjoy the panoramic scenery effortlessly morning, noon, and night.

Really best of the best, location (5 mins from shin kobe station, subways local trains to hotel, ropeway and herb gardens etc). Best service upon check in, best food, best room. No words to express my happiness during my stay in this hotel.

The room was clean and well maintained. The location was convenient, and the staff were very kind. I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel.

Good location can just take the lift down to subway and shinkansen. Great breakfast and room slightly bigger than normal.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to Shin-Kobe subway station, just one stop away from Sannomiya, the city center. However, that one subway stop costs 210 yen, which is quite a bit more expensive than what you'd pay back home. So, if you have some time, a pleasant 10-15 minute walk is a great alternative. The facilities are quite old, and the refrigerator hums too loudly. I had to turn it off at night to sleep. Luckily, after discussing it, I was able to store items needing refrigeration in the hotel's customer service fridge.

The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Kobe Station, and also close to the shopping street. I specifically came to check it out because Marilyn Monroe is said to have stayed here. Although the hotel is old, it's very well-maintained, which I really liked.

The rooms are a bit dated, but the overall service is great. The location is convenient, close to shopping and dining. The view from the hotel window is also fantastic. I'll definitely be back.

The “sea view” was very disappointing and honestly not what I expected at all when booking this room. What made the experience worse was the pricing issue. The hot spring is really big, and you can enjoy both the upstairs and downstairs pools for free. There's a shuttle bus to Sannomiya Station. The room views are absolutely stunning, perfect for couples. Breakfast was just okay, but overall, it's a great stay.

The room was comfortable and bigger , and is good for family members. The view is face to harbour.

We love this hotel very much. We want to try ryokan but scare to get the old and dirty one, this is the right choice for us, room was very clean, big & modern. Excellent hotel! The entire property has a wonderful old-world charm. The large terrace offers a beautiful view, and they even provide essential oils for an aromatherapy diffuser, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kobe.

The check in process is slow, inefficient, and not customer friendly. They ask you on the very first day of your arrival about the exact time of your breakfast and room cleaning, which is unreasonable and not thoughtful. English speaking ability of the staff is also very poor.

The hotel overall is good. Service amd facility are all good. Only one problem and I will never book this hotel again for this reason. The hotel only has room service for breakfast. And really don’t like it. When I used this hotel 3 years ago, they restaurant for breakfast is really wonderful. Unfortunately, now it is only open for lunch.

EV friendly as they have free charging stations (bring your charger. Tesla doesn't need it as they have one for Tesla). "The most delicious breakfast" sounds true as they serve homemade food, using local ingredients. The breakfast is well balanced and nutritional (in my opinion).

The hotel does not has shuttle bus. You need to walk from train station to hotel. You need to walk to mid of hill. It is very inconvenient. Not recommend to book this hotel.
