The hotel's location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station, and right next to a huge Aeon Mall! The room was very clean and spacious, exactly like the photos! The hotel also offers a range of free amenities, such as tea/coffee bags, hair straighteners, setting spray, gaming consoles, and even kitchenware/seasonings – they have everything you could possibly need! The front desk staff were friendly and spoke great English, so there were no communication issues. All in all, I'm very satisfied and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto!

Very spacious! ＜10 minute walk to Kyoto station. The two beds fit 4 people easily, and separated by door there’s 2 tatamis to lay out. If you sleep on your back they are comfortable! The shower is large and japanese styled too.AC is easily controlled via remotes. Unlike hotels they don’t offer daily room cleaning though. Instead there’s other things that can be rented downstairs like hot pot stoves, nintendo switches, etc. Would love to stay for a longer period of time than I did!

Good location as it's next to a big AEON mall and a lot of vending machines is all around the corner you can find it literally anywhere. It's got a little distance from Kyoto station took around 6-8min of walking (longer if you're bringing luggage with you). Hotel staff is very friendly and they even let their guest borrow Dyson hair dryer, hair spray and others grooming products. Will stay here again when I'm back to Kyoto.

Traveling as a family of five, we found the stay quite comfortable and clean. While it's a bit of a distance from Kyoto Station, the staff member was incredibly friendly and polite. They provided tableware, which made buying groceries and cooking super convenient, really meeting our needs.

The hotel's proximity to Kyoto Station is a huge plus, and having an Aeon Mall and Daiso right next door was incredibly convenient. I also appreciated the 24-hour front desk service. Overall, the cleanliness was excellent. For our family of five, three of us slept in the room with two double beds, and the other two in the tatami room. Having the toilet and bathroom separate was great, and we made good use of the washing machine and the bathroom's warm air dryer. The front desk offers various shared amenities you can borrow. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the complimentary luggage storage service after check-out was a fantastic bonus.

Aeon is just beside. You can shop Uniqlo, muji, sports wear, daiso and pharmacy which is less crowded.

The room was great, and it's not too far from Kyoto Station (unless you have large luggage, as Kyoto's streets can be tricky to navigate). The hotel itself is excellent, located in a quiet residential area. English communication was seamless. They provide plenty of kitchen utensils. There's an Aeon supermarket right next door that's open until 10 PM. You can get a full meal for 10 [currency unit], living the wagyu beef life every day~

The room is very spacious for 4 people. Although there is no breakfast , the location is very close to 7 eleven and the staff are very friendly.

Relaxing place to stay when you go to Kyoto

We had a good stay in Ebisu Ryokan! The room is simple rather old but has everything you need, fridge , table, hairdyer, shampoo, even tea pots and cups. The lovely gentleman who works there took time to explain the rules in english and made us feel welcome even in a busto day. He even took time to walk us the nearest bike rental which we appreciated. The value was good for kyoto.

The rooms are kind of medium, kinda small and you have to be real quiet so other people can't hear you. The rooms include a safe, a TV, a fridge, an air purifier, an A/C unit, a shower and a smart toilet. Basically an average hotel including the fact that it's traditionally made. Overall, I would give "rooms" a solid 3.0.
The service on this place is good. The owner is a foreigner, probably German. He speaks English well and is friendly too. Overall, I would give "service" a 4.6.

Well it seems very different experience among guests of this place.
We luckily had a pleasant stay last week, just 1 night in our 10 nights in Japan. Our room is on 2nd floor.
Got a deal of 25% price lower than the APA nearby so we set our expectations at the beginning to experience a Ryokan in Kyoto.
The room we had was fine, toilet is bigger than some other hotel. The Aircon in our room works just fine.
The host can speak English, Jacob was also very helpful with information he shared on our travel itineraries.
Self checkout makes it easy for you to leave the guesthouse anytime just like most of Japanese hotel.
It could be much cleaner indeed, but it's very difficult to get a decent hotel at our budget so we are fine with this place.
Maybe because we spent the whole day walking Kyoto and only get back to sleep.
