Kanko Hotel Tamaru in Nara

This is an old-style Japanese hotel, a bit dated and generally unhygienic. The hotel is good in terms of service and is conveniently located to tourist attractions.

The hotel is very close to Nara Kintetsu Station and Nara Park Todaiji Temple is right next to it. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk to get there. We came from Osaka. We took JR to Nara Station and then took a taxi for a 5-minute ride. I think 700 yen per trip is not bad.

Stayed in one hotel and had two meals. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. I was very satisfied with the meals!

The staff at the check-in counter were not as friendly and helpful as the staff at other hot spring hotels... The only thing I felt bad about was that although I forgot to inform them of the food I was allergic to in advance (the counter said I had to write to him three days in advance), I just asked him at that time If there were any, just remove them for me. I didn’t ask him to bring me additional dishes, but I was rejected. They all offered them, and told me that I could just choose not to eat them. I was not very satisfied with this way of handling it, even though he told me Which dish did I add shrimps to...?

However, every girl in the restaurant was very kind and enthusiastic. Since the counter told me that the food could not be taken away, I asked the girl to tell me which dish had shrimps and then I asked her to remove it, but the girl hurriedly apologized to me. He said that he would make new meals and bring them to you. Although I said not to bother you too much, I'm sorry... However, they still provided friendly service, which completely made up for the lack of reception staff at the counter, and I was very satisfied with the meal.

In addition, there is no elevator in the hotel... Carrying luggage when checking out is a disaster for me who lives on the third floor.
