I specifically asked AI to recommend a hotel in Awaji Island for me. My requirements were: kid-friendly, tattoo-friendly, and with parking. This place offers three types of private hot springs (onsen) and also welcomes children. I booked through Trip first and then emailed the hotel to let them know we have kids; the hotel replied with the details of the additional charges. We were two adults and two children, and the package included dinner and breakfast. It was a wonderful stay, and I also tried the public hot spring ♨️. Our family also booked a private hot spring together (at an extra cost). Overall, it wasn't cheap, but we still felt it offered great value for money!

We had a Japanese-style room, and we were able to connect a TV with a subscription service, so we all watched movies together and had a great time! 😚💕
The hot springs were amazing too! ♨️

The hotel is located right by the sea, just a minute from the entrance to the beach.
The room was spotless and clean, facing the ocean. Sitting by the window, sipping tea and chatting was so relaxing. I absolutely love this hotel and will definitely be back.
The view from the hotel's open-air baths is also stunning. The men's and women's bathing areas swap locations daily, allowing for a different experience.
Turning right after exiting the hotel is the Mikumayama trailhead. The castle tower at the summit is a must-see – a truly amazing experience you won't regret.
The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming ❤️ and we felt right at home. 👍
Finally, I recommend trying the local specialty: Tamanegi (tama negi), which is incredibly sweet. 👍
