APA Hotel Wakayama in Wakayama

The floor cleaning was terrible!
There was a lot of trash on the carpet and the bottom of the desk was covered in dust!
If there is an affiliated parking lot, you should make a note of it in advance!
I parked in the parking lot in front of the hotel and incurred unnecessary expenses.
The bathroom drainage was terrible! Room 401!
I don't think I'll use this hotel again!

If I could give a 0 star review I would. This Hotel sells IDENTICAL size rooms as both single and double rooms. They do not specify in listings that the size of the bed or entire room is identical in single and double rooms. The ONLY difference in the price is that the double rooms have an additional set of disposable items they call "Amenities". Ie. bathrobe, toothbrush, razor etc.
I booked a double room thinking the bed and room would be larger however it is tiny and not big enough to accommodate two people.
The Bathroom was not cleaned as there was Blood on the toilet bowl and everything was covered in dust.
Despite being on a Non smoking floor, the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke.
I spent nearly two hours at the reception trying to explain that the room was not sufficient, nor as advertised, however their english was lacking.
The Manager was not helpful in the slightest and did not even come out to the lobby to speak with me but preferred to hide behind their front counter staff.
Their solution was to try sell me another double room and give a pathetic 1000 yen discount to the standard retail rate of the room.

I would advise not to book at this hotel if you want the management to respect you and act in an honourable way or attempt to find solutions to problems.

0 stars, don't bother booking here unless your desperate, and book the single rooms only if you have to.

The only good thing I have to say is for the front counter staff member who had no authority to rectify the issue but was doing his best.
